For a grand Outer Banks retreat where the water steals the scene, head to Salty Dog. This 5-bedroom 5-bath semi-oceanfront home features a large private pool and incredible views of the Atlantic from the spacious decks. Whether you're planning an evening stroll with your canine companion or you want to spend all day splashing in the waves, the beach access is just right across the street (only 300-feet away)!

Outside, a spacious driveway leads you to this gorgeous cottage with covered dry entry and plenty of storage space for all your beach gear. The Salty Dog is an EV-ready property! This property is equipped with an OK2Charge Level 2 Smart EV Charger.* Once you arrive, scan the QR code on the charger, choose your payment method, and you are ready to charge! Out back, you can take a dip in the large (11' x 25') sparkling Private Pool* or unwind in the warm, bubbly Hot Tub. While you're relaxing, let your dog run and play in the 1,600 sq. ft. fenced-in yard. Inside, the game room with tiled floors, a Foosball table, cozy seating area with TV, and a Queen Sleeper Sofa for extra space is the ideal place to hang out. Prepare snacks at the bar with a Full-Sized refrigerator or enjoy a game of Poker at the card table. A Full Bathroom with Laundry Area completes the level.

On the Middle Floor, you'll find four bedrooms where you're sure to enjoy sweet dreams of fun in the sun. Choose between two well-appointed Queen Master Bedrooms, each with a ceiling fan, TV, and an attached Master Bath. Another Full Bathroom with a shower only is accessible from the hall and shared by a third Queen Bedroom with TV and a Bedroom with a Pyramid Bunk Bed and TV—perfect for the kids. If you want to soak in the ocean breeze but stay in the shade, you'll love sitting out on the Mid-Level Covered Deck with your favorite book.

Gather around with your family and friends in the huge open-style great room with vaulted ceilings, comfortable furniture, and beautiful décor. Plenty of bright light shines in through the multiple windows with a stunning view of the surrounding town. Enjoy family movie night around the Flat Screen TV, and in the off-season, a gas fireplace is available for added warmth. Whip up a tasty meal in the fully stocked Kitchen complete with a breakfast bar and seating for 4. Enjoy your meals with the ocean in the background around the large dining table with seating for 10 and partial water views. The final bedroom—a King Master Bedroom with an attached Full Bathroom—can be found right off the Great Room. Oh, our family really enjoyed this place. The pool and hot tub were wonderful. The access to the beach was just great. The house was a perfect size for our whole family. We would stay here again.

Great location

Very accurate listing, great location with beach access across the street. Good restaurants down the street. Grocery store is close by. Elevator was a nice touch for older guests. It is certainly a dog friendly house with gates installed on the stairs for added security. I would stay at the house again for sure.

Multiple family vacation

We had a wonderful family vacation with grandparents, sisters and their husbands, a toddler, an infant, and two pets. The house was spacious, comfortable, and impressively well-equipped for a big family. It included two Pack ‘n Plays, a highchair, baby gates on both the upper and second floors, and a closet full of pool toys and beach accessories. The elevator was a huge help for moving between floors, especially with little ones and grandparents. The pool was nice, though not heated, and the location was perfect—right across the street from beautiful beach access. A truly memorable and family-friendly getaway!

Family vacation

Over all the house and location was Great!!!! Just a short walk to the water. The house was beautiful with plenty of space. Only issue was with the hot tub not being clean. We called and the company sent over an amazing very knowledgeable gentleman to fix the issue. Other than that our stay was great. We will definitely be back again.

Very nice house

The location is perfect for an OBX stay. The house was clean and the view was great. Really great time. Read the ‘what they provide list’ carefully. We did and were prepared with toilet paper, cleaners, paper towels, garbage bags, etc.. We were not prepared to make all the beds and put all the towels away. It made it seem like work while you are on vacation.

This was a great house for me and my husband, two daughters and 6 grandchildren. The master suite was on third floor with the living room and kitchen…so we could go to bed and it was quiet. All the bathrooms were a big plus having 6 teenagers with us…5 bathrooms plus a half bath. The small elevator was also helpful as my husband has a hip issue currently. House had 5 nice bedrooms and was clean and comfortable. Also just a stones through to the public walk to the beach.

Needs a deep clean

This house is not as nice as the pics would suggest, and it was filthy. The rental company offered to send someone to clean after we checked in but we declined. We cleaned ourselves. The dust bunnies under the furniture were enormous. Bed spreads were stained. No attention to detail had been taken. Daughter got locked in bathroom bc door knob broke. Pool alarm on door wouldn’t stop going off. Big disappointment.

We understand the frustration of the alarm and having to press a button before exiting/entering but for safety reasons we are required to have alarms on doors that lead out to the pool area. Off season is amazing!!

The property was the perfect size for three family units, plus kids! The walk to the beach was so easy, we went every day we were visiting. Staff were very easy to get a hold of to help. The rental company is very clear on what they do and do not provide; pack accordingly. Kitchen accessories included a crock pot, glass pans, a waffle maker, multiple toasters, a very large pasta pot, a drip coffee maker and a single use Keurig machine. The only thing we couldn't find were kitchen scissors and kitchen towels, but we b(r)ought our own. They were also quick to mail something back to me (very small, I paid for it, but they told me of it right away) So yes, I recommend this rental! Thank you for our week of family memories!

Wedding Weekend Home

Fantastic property! Very clean and spacious. The elevator was perfect for carrying our essentials up to the third floor. We had family and friends in town for our daughters wedding and it was so nice to be able to escape to “our” place when we needed a break from all the activities. The kitchen was well stocked and the table easily fit the 10-13 of us that were staying there. The beach access was literally across the street making it easy to get to. We were able to walk to many places for dinners/coffee/lunch. I did miss that there were no paper products such as TP, and no soap/dish detergent etc so grab those before you arrive. But, once again, that was my error. We did only have 2 wash clothes but plenty of bath and hand towels. I prefer soft beds and always bring a foam mattress. The beds are firm but I was the only one who needed the mattress. There are childproof gates at the steps to keep the kiddos safe(or the dogs on one floor) The picnic table on the 3rd floor deck was great for gathering outside and watching the ocean. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this beautiful house to someone with a large group.
