Tree-mendous Property!

Our stay at the treehouse at The Historic Shankle Ranch was AWESOME! The facility, service, and communication were all impeccable. Host/owner Sherry could not have been more accommodating. Finally, the location and view are peaceful and beautiful!

Awesome, Unique, Romantic

This was definitely one of the coolest and most unique places my husband and I ever stayed in! It was quite windy the first day but with the trees being so sturdy we really didn’t feel any movement. We loved looking at the decor and scenery and watching the Javelinas, ducks, deer, and other wildlife. We had planned to go out to explore the area and to dine in Tubac, but we decided not to leave this awesome treehouse until we had to check-out! Loved it!!

Tarzan’s Tree House it is Not

This is a magical place, but only for four adults. Our two oldest granddaughters and their husbands slept here and loved it. They joined us in the ranch house for meals, so no cooking was done. At night it even looks magical all lit up! The toilet is a work of art.

Magical Treehouse

The serenity of the location and the spectacular views from the porch are reasons to rent this unique property. The graciousness of the host adds to the experience. Pack light. It is 30 steps to your lodge. Enjoy.

Wonderful stay!

What a great experience in this charming and comfortable Tubac treehouse! The accommodations were rustic yet very comfortable- so cool to realize you were sleeping in a cozy bed and showering up in a tree! The entire ranch and surrounding area are not only beautiful but boast incredible views! Sherry and Sarah were fabulous hosts! Highly recommend this unique experience.

Amazing

We rented the Treehouse as part of a large group gathering that occupied all three dwelling units at Shankle Ranch for a few days. The Treehouse is incredible. The views are absolutely stunning, the interior is quaint and artful and cozy, and the experience of living in a real treehouse high above the ground is pretty wordlessly amazing. The hosts are the kindest, most gracious people with genuine hospitality. Near the wonderful village of Tubac, but surrounded by the peace of nature, this place is exceptional.

Feel like a kid again!

The treehouse was such a fun experience and loved exploring around the ranch. Owner was very personable and when I thought I locked myself out they were quick to respond even though I forgot the passcode. The rustic charm fulfilled my bucket list item. Don’t pass it up if you get a chance.

Treehouse Topper

Wonderful stay at a very unique property. Peaceful, serene, beautiful are words that come to mind. Owner was most gracious and gave us a personal tour of other large ranch house property. Owners have put a lot of effort making this a first class experience and special property. Our first time in a treehouse enjoyed the great vista's and tranquility. vrbo listing and pictures were quite accurate.

Family reunion

We rented all 3 properties at the Shankle Ranch for a family reunion. So many wonderful places to sit and enjoy each other, the view, the pool, a fire, the many antiques, etc. The place was clean, well kept, beautiful, and fun! We would definitely return as a family or just to stay in the tree house!

Treehouse

We were looking for something different for our 44th anniversary, once we saw the treehouse listing my wife & i both knew this would be a great opportunity so we booked a 3 day stay. What a fantastic unique stay this was for us, the treehouse itself is setup perfectly, nestled up just high enough for fantastic mountain and valley views, lots of birds to observe landing in the tree tops. The interior accommodations are setup perfectly, the craftsmanship is professionally done. If you have ever wanted to stay in a treehouse but were somewhat skeptical, don't be book this treehouse and unwind and relax. Carolyne met us on our arrival day to show us the layout & welcome us to the property, and they were kind enough to have a nice bottle of red wine waiting for us to celebrate our anniversary, we appreciated the kind gesture.
