"The Getaway" underwent a full interior renovation in early 2021! This classic Outer Banks Beach Box sits "between the highways" about 100 yards to the beach access. One end of the street takes you by Swells'a Brewing on your way to a beach. The other takes you to lots of dining options. Walk to Swells'a Brewing, Mama Kwans, Kill Devil Grill, The Country Deli, Ladles, and more! Grocery store is less than a mile away; shopping and beaches surround you! Beach chairs, umbrellas, and towels are provided. This is the perfect home for your beach vacation!

Great vacation spot

Very nice place near the water. Three bedrooms and two baths and a hot tub . owner of the property lives close by and was available for any questions, including cleaning again upon request.

Great weekend get away

Absolutely loved our stay in OBX. Plenty of parking, beds were comfortable, and kitchen was well stocked. Very close to everything and loved that there were beach chairs. Our friends loved the ring game downstairs! Any question we had was quickly responded to and solved. Would love to stay here again :)

Brother/sisters weekend getaway

The cottage was great-couldn’t ask for a better location. Short walk to the beach which was a plus since this was our first visit to Kill Devil Hills. Owner was quick to respond to questions before making the reservation and to provide check in/check out information before our arrival. Grocery store was very close by which also was a plus for us as we planned to cook and eat in during our stay. Amenities and photos were exactly as the VRBO listing described. We especially enjoyed the covered front porch. Hope to stay here again.

July Getaway

Great location, amenities, and host/communication. Property was clean, but gave 4 stars since there was damage to the popcorn ceiling in the living room, ice maker didn't work, and the appliances are dated in general. Perfectly fine for our crew at a beach house, but might not be 5* for some. We all enjoyed our stay.

Love this property!

We took a quick weekend trip down to this property. The home is absolutely beautiful & super close to the ocean which was great. Definitely will be looking into a longer trip next time at Daniels property! Super clean and a beautiful home.

Great place!

This place had everything we could need for our stay.. from a full kitchen with pots and dishes, to a coffee maker. This was a plus because we were able to make meals at home instead of going out to eat. The location is also great. Close to the beach and lots of activities and stores near by. I would definitely consider this location in the future!

Great location and great little house! Short walk to the beach and had everything you needed for a small family. We loved sitting at night on the front porch! Had a great vacation!!

Beautiful house & great location!

We had a wonderful week-long stay at Daniel's rental! There were 3 adults and 2 kids in our group, and we had plenty of space. The backyard was a nice addition for outdoor space too, and our kids loved playing under the house during the rain storm. The house was immaculately clean, the kitchen was extremely well-stocked (and we cooked in nearly every night!), and the accommodations were very comfortable. I also appreciated that there were starter items such as K-cups, sugar, dish soap, etc. for when we first got there. There were plenty of linens and towels, and even extras as needed. Beach towels and beach chairs, etc. were provided, which was a huge plus! The location was also ideal -- walking distance and/or short drive to several restaurants, and an easy walk to a direct beach access across the street. Lastly, Daniel was super responsive and got back to us very quickly when we had questions. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to others!

Summer getaway

Our family of four (2 children) enjoyed our stay. The property manager was quick to respond to messages. The home included everything needed to cook meals at home. We thoroughly enjoyed the porch on early mornings and evenings. Home is in a great location and quick walk to the beach!

Very cozy, clean property. Easily accessible & very close to the water (3 minute walk). Daniel, the property manager outlined all details including check out in an email. I really liked the ease of renting! I will certainly rent again!
