James and his group were great and it was a pleasure hosting them. He was easy to communicate with and took care of the home. I couldn’t ask for better guests and they are certainly welcome back.

Felt uneasy owners personal belongings in refrigerator n closets bathroom drawers closets did not feel with the freedom to make it like we wanted to stay. We actually left that evening.

You may want to look elsewhere

The good: The neighborhood, the cleanliness of the house and the ease of checkin/ checkout, plus the very detailed instructions for the reservation/ great communication The not so good: This house is occupied by a family, so it is not a normal vacation rental. Their clothes are there, family photos everywhere, their food in the refrigerator, etc. There is only one bedroom that has full privacy (the master), the other is a child’s room, with his pictures and belongs all over the place, that opens into another room with bunk beds, without a door or slider to separate the two. That child’s room was not pictured in the photos and not included in the description. It is very awkward sleeping in a child’s bed, in his room, with all of his possessions there. The backyard is not kept up, the grass is dead, no basketball hoop as pictured (we brought a ball and anticipated being able to use it) and the furniture was very badly faded by the sun with bird/ lizard poop all over it so we could not sit outside. The fire pit also did not work (my parents have the same one and I know how to use it). In fairness, I was there for a wedding and spent most of the weekend away from the VRBO. I did not contact the owner with my concerns because there were too many of them (my fault). I did not have time to dispute all of this due to my involvement in the wedding preparation and the event itself. The owner refused any refund. Save yourself the hassle and book elsewhere

Daniel started off inquiring about getting a discount. After he and his seven guests used my place for two days without bringing up any issues, he requested a refund stating he was uncomfortable staying somewhere where there were pictures on the walls and clothes in the closet. In my instructions I clearly state if something is amiss, let me know and I’ll rectify the situation. He didn’t. When he left the house, he failed to follow many of the house rules, to include turning off appliances (he left the tv on), he didn’t empty any of the trash cans, left blue frosting on the floors and in general, left the place a complete mess. I was shocked that he asked for a refund. I am completely transparent with my guests so they can choose other accommodations if they feel they would be more comfortable. The website pictures of my house don’t hide anything at all. I always strive to ensure a five star experience. Needless to say, VRBO refused to give him any money back. Daniel is simply someone who is looking for a free stay and I would never let him back in my house.
