“Big Cozy” Mountain House in hills of amenity packed Big Canoe!

This luxurious Jasper home awaits in the enchanted land of Big Canoe mountain community! We have called our home “the big cozy” because that’s exactly what it is!! A cozy home with enough space for everyone to feel comfortable. Within the gates of this private North Georgia residential retreat, spend your days serving aces, casting lines, or lounging lakeside with the family (some paid amenities). This 4-bed, 4-bath vacation rental boasts high-end furnishings, a screened porch warmed by a gas fireplace, a game room with foosball, and a bunk room to accommodate bigs or littles. Enjoy corn hole and grilling on the deck, or snuggle up on our mega beanbags in the basement and watch a movie. Tire your kids out at the Beach Club (paid amenity) then enjoy a parent's wine-tasting getaway at Fainting Goat Vineyards in town!

We are new parents ourselves so we know how important it is for homes to be safe for the kiddos. We’ve got baby gates, a pack and play, a high chair, an umbrella stroller, and lots of toys available for your kids! Part of what makes Big Canoe so appealing is the outdoor amenities including the beach club! We’ve got beach towels and sand toys for the kids as well!

If you're booking The Big Cozy as a getaway for a wedding at one of the many venues close by, the easiest way to map the distance to the venue is to navigate from the Big Canoe Beach Club (Wolfscratch Dr, Big Canoe, GA 30143). We're a short 2 minute drive from the club!

The home was nice, clean and comfortable. We had seven adults stay for the weekend, all enjoy the accommodations, however, two senior-aged grandparents suggest adding safety grab bars in the showers, as well add anti-slip too surface of bath/showers.

Truly Big and Cozy!

We were in Big Canoe for a family reunion. The location to the rest of our large group was fantastic. We spent time at the Beach Club, Petit Lake on pontoons, Wildcat swimming and playing basketball as well as walking some of the trails within Big Canoe. The drive to get groceries was very short. The location to Dahlonega was perfect for a day in town and visiting a local winery. The home was perfect for our needs.

Great Trip

We enjoyed our summer trip to Big Canoe. Big Cozy really was a great place to stay. We had plenty of room to spread out and the house was supplied with everything we needed. We had never been to Big Canoe in the summer, but we wanted to change it up a little. We had a great time enjoying the beach club and Marina area. Big Cozy was less than a two minute drive to the amenities. Molly was fantastic to work with! We would love to stay here again.

Loved our stay!

We loved our quick family weekend getaway here and would recommend it to anyone who asks! The house has everything you could ask for, easy to get to, and so much to do in the area. Molly and Robert did a great job communicating with us and answering any questions we had during the weekend, which was so appreciated! We will definitely be back, this is the perfect house to stay at with friends, family, or little ones if you have them!

Great getaway house

Comfortable and roomy enough for 2 families (4 adults and 7 kids) for a long getaway weekend. House was clean and ready for us, and host was quick and helpful when I had a question. Extra beach towels for all 11 of us was a nice bonus!

We love Big Canoe and stayed at different places throughout the years. This was not one of the best cabins. The house needs maintenance. Sheets and towels were not very comfortable or smelled cleaned. Dirty dishes and insects in the house. Plus: location, TVs.

Great place for our Family Reunion!

Loved our stay in Big Canoe and at the Big Cozy. We especially liked the floor plan that had bedrooms and bathrooms on all three levels. The Big Cozy had everything we needed for our multi-generational family reunion. Communication was easy and the host accommodated our request even though it wasn’t expected. We had a delightful experience at the Big Cozy!

Beautiful Resort in North Georgia

Truly a cozy home with two fireplaces and the view from the large picture windows make you feel you are living in the treetops. This three level house has plenty of space for friends and family. Do take advantage of the amenities. Plenty to do inside this resort style neighborhood.

Big Canoe 2024 Family Vacation

My husband and I stayed at Big Cozy with our 3 adult children, their spouses, grandbaby and our teen. There was plenty of space for us to hangout together. We enjoyed the convience of the supplied high chair, beach towels, and shampoo/body wash. We also loved that we were able to enjoy the Wildcat pool, Beach Club and rent a pontoon at the Marina all without leaving Big Canoe.

A Lovely Week at Big Canoe

Good location, easy to find. Close to everything. Nice home and very comfortable All was good. We are very familiar with Big Canoe having owned a home there and this home was convenient to everything. Never saw or spoke with a property manager.

Our Stay

Our stay was overall great. I’d say the only issue were the beds, they were too high. It was hard for our older family to get on the bed, but that was it. The decorations were nice, as well as the views. Beds were nicely done; clean kitchen and living rooms. Thank you for a clean and comfortable stay.

Wonderful 4th of July Getaway

We have stayed in several different rentals in Big Canoe and this was by far our favorite. The kitchen is fully stocked and has everything you could possibly need. The owner was very easy to work with and responsive. The house was close to all the amenities which is definitely not always the case in Big Canoe. Loved the screen porch, beds were comfortable. 10 out of 10!

Girls Family Weekend in the Mountains

Sisters, Sis-in-laws & daughters came together for a 4 night stay in beautiful Big Canoe, Georgia. The Big Cozy cabin was perfect place to enjoy the Big Canoe hiking trails/waterfalls and nearby fall options of apple & pumpkin picking. The kitchen was great for family dinners, bedrooms were comfortable-the kiddos loved the bunk room! And the 5 bathrooms were a bonus for 8 women! Plus the cozy porch and fireplace for enjoying our morning coffee and evening wine! Lots of space to spread out in this well appointed cabin. Definitely recommend to anyone wanting to enjoy the North Georgia mountains.

Great spot away from the city

Everything about this home was perfect! The bed & bedding were so comfortable and the home had everything a family could need - including space! We could send the kids to the basement to enjoy a little adult time and it was so refreshing upon arrival that so many small amenities were provided and we didn't have to bring or buy any. Communication with Molly was so easy and she was so quick to reply. We will definitely be back!

Well stocked

One of the problems with rentals is that they are not frequently stocked properly with supplies to cook. This property was well stocked with lots of pots and pans and lots of utensils and SHARP knives. So nice! We loved it.

Whether it’s boating on the lake, fishing on the river, or laying by the pool. We just had our first baby and we can’t wait to dip his toes into the water too!

We absolutely fell in LOVE with Big Canoe. We both love the mountains and all of the amenities that Big Canoe has to offer. It’s the perfectly place for families to entertain their kiddos, couples to have a romantic weekend, friends to gather around the fire, or solo travelers to hikes through the woods.
