Sip wine by the crackling wood-burning fireplace, toss steaks or veggie kabobs on the gas grill, or curl up in front of the big screen TV for a spell. For more fun on your Blue Ridge Mountain getaway, play arcade games and board games together. Soothe tired muscles in the bubbly hot tub or the steam barrel sauna anytime! And when it's time to hit the hay, you'll have a mix of 1 king bed, 2 queen beds, 2 built-in twin bunks, and 1 daybed with a trundle — for up to 12 guests.

This semi-private Big Canoe rental offers 3 full bathrooms and 1 half bathroom for added convenience. We had two families stay here for 4th of July weekend. It was an absolutely fantastic place that we’d love to return to. It had all the amenities you could ask for in a property with 6 kids 11 and under on the trip

Start with into the gate is a chore, the drive up the mountain is more adventurous then they state. Once you arrive the drive is very very steep and is no parking at the top of the drive. Also the driveway was covered in moss . We had two vehicles and one of the vehicles could not make it up the driveway. The a/c was not working, missing smoke detectors upstairs, mice poop in the cabinets. Communication was not good, was told the drive had just had new asphalt installed ( filled two holes at the bottom) was told the ac was just replaced not true( am a HVAC mechanic 30 years experience) they said they would send someone out in the morning never did. Got a reply at 9pm that some would be coming the next day didn’t happen. Ended up finding another place for my family and leaving. They did refund me for 3 of 5 the days

We can only imagine how frustrating and disappointing it must have been to navigate the steep driveway and deal with the issues inside the cabin. The lack of smoke detectors, the presence of pests in the cabinets, and an air conditioning unit that wasn’t functioning properly are absolutely unacceptable. We recognize that our communication fell short during your visit, and we deeply regret that we didn’t follow up as promised. Your concerns about the driveway and parking are completely valid, and we will be reassessing how we describe and maintain these areas to better inform future guests. We are particularly troubled by your comment regarding the AC being recently replaced, and we will look into that right away. It’s heartbreaking to know that our shortcomings led you to seek another place for your family, and we are truly sorry it came to that. Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback; it is invaluable as we work to make the necessary improvements. We genuinely regret that this was the experience you had with us, and we hope to do better in the future.
