The Woodland View Lake House

The Woodland View Lake House sits on quiet Lake Aztec in the friendly community of Cherokee Village, AR. Featuring 3BR & 2B, the recently updated lakefront house is a peaceful, country retreat, complete with all of the conveniences of home. Sit back and enjoy the sunset over the lake from the large, screened deck. Enjoy the water from right off the private dock while having the options of swimming, fishing, paddling, and other beautiful lakes all just minutes away along with two great golf courses nearby and options to go paddling on the Spring River! This property is pet friendly with a $30 pet fee per trip with no size limitations or restrictions on the number of pets.

Guest access
Full access to the main floor, screened-in deck, backyard with patio, along with direct access to Lake Aztec from the private dock with ladder. You will have the entire place to yourself and will not share it with anyone outside of your group.

Other things to note
Self-check-in with personalized entry code; coffee machine with coffee/creamer/sugar; washer & dryer; hair dryers; lake towels; and extra toiletries (in case you forgot yours); and some pet supplies provided: food & water bowls, bed, poop bags, two medium crates, pet-towels, and baby gates that can be used as pet gates.

Everything was comfortable and the view was beautiful! Very peaceful with several nice touches to make the stay with a pet stress free. Highly recommend for anyone traveling with a dog!

Nice weekenend plus getaway

Nice place with very comfy bed. We had 3 bedrooms but ended up only being the 2 of us so never saw the other part of spacious place. My only complaint is coffee maker didn't work, which was a bummer since we looked forward to mornings sitting out on beautiful, peaceful porch looking at the lake. Instead had to drive a ways for coffee. Otherwise, we enjoyed it so much that we asked to extend stay an extra day and she was quick at communicating throughout.

Peace and quiet on Lake Aztec

The home on Lake Aztec was very comfortable and extremely clean. We enjoyed the seclusion and peace. We travel to that part of Arkansas at least 6 times per year. Hopefully, this rental can become our “go to” place for future stays!

Great location when traveling with pets

This place wasn't just pet-friendly, it was amazing! The owner clearly loves animals and has thought of everything to make your stay with your pets super comfy.

Family get together

We were very pleased with pretty much everything in the lake home. Perfect size for our group and everything up to date. A great screened in porch facing the lake so we could enjoy the mornings and evenings however we were a little disappointed with the cleanliness of the porch facing the lake. We had to use towels to cover the furniture to avoid getting what appeared to be pollen on our clothing. My wife also cleaned the table tops on the porch. We also noticed quite a number of cob webs along the ceiling of the porch.

Better than a 5 star resort

Me and two other couples we for the weekend to relax and float the river and we had an incredible stay. The house was completely furnished with anything that you may need plus extras were left for those who came to visit. I will definitely book this place again.

Ideal Spot

Loved it! House was laid out perfect, furnished with all your wants and even the little wish I would've brought, It was probably there! Beds were comfy, shower was amazing. Loved having a screened in deck and ceiling fans really pulled the cool air through. Cherokee Lake is one of the most beautiful and clear lakes I've ever swam in! I highly recommend swimming " Don't mind the little blue gills that like to nibble on you" Lol. Only thing I would say I wish the rental would've supplied would be some kind of rafts, kayaks or pool floats.

Peaceful Little Getaway

This house on Lake Aztec is quiet and has few neighbors in sight. The house has all the amenities a family needs to have a good time, and it has a large yard for our dogs to run around.

Great escape!

Wonderful place to rent with plenty of room for everyone and the fenced yard was definitely a plus. The host thought of everything! We had trouble getting the roku TV working, but host was easy to get a hold of and she was able to get it working.

You probably could eat off floor, it was very clean. Loved that. Scenery beautiful and lots of things there and nearby to do. Everything was great. There was 2 things I didn't like. The tall bed (I'm 5'3" and my husband had to literally pull me up to get in bd). There are 2 other beds to sleep in. The place, while lovely , is not for disabled or especially handicapped people so bear this in mind. I would go again in a heartbeat.

We loved the house and lake. It was very relaxing. My only complaint is not large enough trash can for the trash when we left. One was full of leaves. Otherwise me, my husband, daughter and son in law were all happy.

Quite getaway in wonderful setting

We loved this property. It is in a quiet neighborhood with lakefront access. Loved the attention to needs of dogs with water bowls, cages and cooling pad on site. The screened in porch was our favorite gathering place. The only thing that prevented us from giving 5 stars was the need for a ladder on the dock. Most of our group did not like stomping through the weeds on the steep bank to get out of the water. Lovely place!
