Escape to a beautifully designed one-bedroom cabin-style home in a quiet suburban neighborhood, professionally designed by Brooklyn designer Mackenzie (@mackofalltrades). As you step inside, you'll be greeted by a beautiful foyer with a floral-printed wall and modern wood flooring. Relax in the living room on a stylish leather couch, read, or binge-watch your favorite shows on the SMART TV preloaded with Firestick.

Matt is great! If I needed anything he was so easy to reach! His cottage is adorably decorated - perfect balance of contemporary and rustic. It is very cozy and comfortable. It is also very functional - he thought of everything to ensure you enjoy your stay. The location is convenient to great hiking and stores. The house backs up to woods so the setting is peaceful. So many historic towns nearby. I wished I stayed longer but I will be back!

My spouse and I enjoyed our stay at the Campfire Cottage with our dog. The cottage was well designed and utilized its small space to the fullest. We also appreciated the gas fire pit outside. The location was great- there's an amazing dog friendly Italian restaurant within walking distance, a nice 9-hole golf course about 3 minute drive, and the Rondout Creek area of Kingston is about a 10 minute drive. If we find ourselves back in Kingston, we would definitely want to stay at the campfire cottage again.

Incredibly cute and clean spot for my wife and dog, only a ten minute drive from some great shops, restaurants. Really clean, owner was very helpful with anything we needed or any questions we had. Had a lovely time!

Fantastic stay in the campfire cottage! Every detail was taken care of, from extra toothpaste (I always forget mine!) to the Nespresso machine. Cottage was very clean and cozy, communication was excellent. Would definitely return!

Beautiful comfortable cabin

My spouse and I stayed here with our dog which was great! We were able to take him for a walk and he loved the outdoor area! It was very comfortable and beautiful for a one stay. Everything was easy to access and we felt very safe and it was very home-like! We would stay there again and are even interested in the larger cabin for our next visit!

Week Long Stay

Matt has a great modern set up for 2 people to stay with simple but effortless accommodations. We loved our week long stay as Matt anticipated everything we could need. Ample towels, all the soap and toiletries one could need as well as a comfortable minimalist aesthetic. It was everything we could have asked for including a fire pit which we didn’t actually use but was a great addition to our stay should we want to. It overall all excellent stay!

The location was perfect—quiet, peaceful, and close to everything we wanted to do. The house was just as described: clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. We especially appreciated the cozy living room and the fully stocked kitchen, which made cooking meals a breeze. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and we slept soundly every night. Quiet and Classy

Sweet little cabin was just right for our weekend getaway. Location is convenient to many large chains and grocery stores. Short drives take you to scenic Hudson Valley neighborhoods and historic sites. Remarkably quiet for an in town location. Parking in allotted spot can be tight, street parking is available as well. Decor is great - shower is hot and has the large shower head. Comfortable cabin is classy with a chill vibe.

This listing is for renting the entire unit. Guests have access to the indoor and outdoor spaces. In addition, you’ll have your own private driveway for parking next to the front door—helpful for bringing in luggage, groceries, or arriving home at night!

-You are my guest, you do not have a "chore" list upon checkout like some other properties may request. Upon checkout my only request is for you to turn things off and lock the door :)

-We welcome guests staying for a remote work setup! There is a provided computer monitor, keyboard, and mouse for your use to work from home at the kitchen table. Wifi is fast enough for video calls: 300MB download and 10MB upload.

-This space has baseboard heating, a fireplace, and a bedroom heater/fan, plus an in-window air conditioning for comfort in all seasons.

-The house is located in a quiet and friendly neighborhood, so please be respectful of neighbors and the environment. Be aware that there are no city lights throughout the neighborhood—but it gives stunning nighttime views of the stars!

-The house is tucked down a long driveway past two others. While the property has neighbors on all sides, you'll have plenty of privacy to enjoy yourself.

-While the neighborhood is quiet, it's noteworthy that all of Kingston has a periodic train sound that hums in the background. One neighbor has chickens and a rooster, so if you're sensitive to sound I encourage you to close the windows and use the air conditioning.

-SAFETY and PRIVACY are our top priorities for our guests. There is a single camera located at the entryway. However, there are no cameras inside the space.
