We are the Batchelor and Puschak families from Peachtree Corners, Georgia. Thank you for considering us for your getaway! A mixture of Chicago winters (too cold), Florida summers (too hot), and most weeks spent juggling careers and kids around Atlanta (too busy) culminated in our second home in Hayesville. We love the lifestyle in this quaint mountain town. Hiking, the great outdoors, spending time on the lake, and exploring all the area has to offer. After years of visiting with our families and falling in love with the area, we decided we wanted to host visitors so you too can enjoy the hospitality of this friendly area and make new memories!

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

The house is convenient to town but feels a world away. Far enough in the country to unplug from busy schedules, but close enough to enjoy great food (check out fine dining at The Copper Door, awesome craft beer and food at Nocturnal, or the best BBQ nacho's you've ever had at Laughing Dogs Brewing). You can also make a quick run to the grocery store, shop local stores, and get to other conveniences. Hayesville and Clay County have a rich mountain culture and art scene with the John C Campbell Folk School nearby. Outdoor recreation abounds; hiking, fishing, waterfalls, golf, horseback riding, Lake Chatuge, concerts on the square, pickleball, tubing, festivals all year, there is a rodeo nearby, vineyards, breweries, fairgrounds, gardens, antiques galore. There isn't enough time to do it all! Hayesville prides itself on being "two hours from anywhere". Convenient by car to Atlanta, Chattanooga, Knoxville, and Asheville for a quick(or longer) getaway. The property is a flat-landers paradise. No 4x4 truck or AWD vehicle needed to navigate the roads in the vicinity. However, the easy access does not discount the views and scenery from the front porch to the back!

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

You can truly do as much or as little as you'd like! Get out the door first thing and enjoy some of the best hiking in the Southeast, walk a few steps away for some excellent trout fishing (stocked several times per year), relax in the gardens of an area winery, or reserve a boat or kayak and enjoy the deep blue waters and views on Lake Chatuge. You can also sit back and just look at the pasture, other side of the creek, and watch the mammas tending to their calves as they run and play. You can see gangs of turkey and the local deer herd browsing all hours of the day. If your aim is relaxation, you will no doubt enjoy the bubbling creek, screened in back porch, sunsets, and the quiet countryside of the Tusquittee Valley.
