Quiet, Comfortable Place for Family

Cozy, comfortable home nestled among a quiet neighborhood and tucked into a corner lot of trees. My family was very comfortable here during our extended weekend stay. Great location between Birmingham and Trussville made it convenient to access everything we needed.

Easy to get to. 3 beds and 2 baths. Plenty of amenities including a washer and dryer if you dont want to bring that dirty laundry home with you.

Easy-peasy Charming Little House

This charming house had everything we needed! It was at the end of the street so we had lots of privacy and it was super clean and very comfortable. The owner was spot on with communication and he was very accommodating! Thanks Jon and we will be back!!!

Great host. Nice stay

We booked this house so our family could stay together for a family wedding. Very clean. Easy check in. Jonathan responds quickly to questions. Since we were at family functions most of our time we simply slept and left here. Kitchen seemed nicely furnished but we didn't use anything because we weren't there long enough. Showers hot, etc. Would stay again.

Property was clean, well stocked with what you need but too close to the highway. Towel rack not secured well in bathroom (fell off wall). Furniture was dated and uncomfortable.

WE LEFT EARLY IT WAS SO BAD!! Yes, we eventually became so fed up with the issues at this property that we left halfway through our visit. The company happily kept our entire payment and showed no concern for the many problems we dealt with during our stay.- We didn't receive our entrance instructions on time for arrival- The property was covered in spiders, their webs and dead bugs, live bugs inside the bedrooms and a kitchen covered in ants-Maintenance showed up twice to perform maintenance from PREVIOUS visits! -The photos are HIGHLY altered. The home has inferior lighting. -The backyard is not enclosed, and the "gate" is falling apart from a tree that has been destroying the fence for decadesThe gutters on the home are falling off due to the amount of debris stuck. When it rains, water runs off everywhere. -The back patio and surrounding yard were not maintained for actual use. Clearing out the gutters would help keep the patio and yard from becoming a pool.-The dryer vent was not attached to the dryer, and I ended up having to buy tools to reattach it. I would assume that a would be just as late as the maintenance request from the previous renters that was fixed during my rental time.The list goes on and on. Halfway through fixing the yard, appliances, and exterminating bugs, we decided to leave the property. I would expect, after the very long complaints sent to the owner and the sudden early end to our stay, that they would have more concern.

I know surprises can be a great thing... but not when it comes to booking a place for your family to stay while on a vacation. With that said, this stay was "beautifully boring" - that is to say, everything was exactly what we were hoping for and expecting. No nasty surprises like mystery stains, broken amenities, or rowdy neighbors. Plenty of towels. There was even a nice little backyard that our kids used to run off a little energy. We were in town for the skate park, which is only about 15 minutes away. Plenty of restaurants nearby.

Good, some shortfalls

House was very clean which was much appreciated and directions were clear. Really could have tried harder to equip kitchen and with seating since the one made cooking difficult and the other left people standing. The kitchen lacked several features such as having several tiny spoons but four regular forks while there were no pots larger than six to eight inch and few of those. The cutting knifes were broken and there was a dishwasher but no detergent. A wine rack but no cork screw or wine glasses - no glasses smaller than a large tumbler. All in all mostly made do but did end up buying a knife set to take home with us to allow for food prep which was made more difficult by lack of light. Mismatched or low wattage bulbs really make a difference. The living room seating was inadequate as the couch was normal but the occasional chairs were basically dining room chairs and not good for seating of any length of time.
