Quiet lakefront getaway! Our home on Lake Monona gives you the feeling of being up-north while only being 12 minutes from Downtown! The property features a 3'x3' firepit right on the water and a walkout patio deck to enjoy your morning coffee while boaters and fishermen pass by. Less than 15 minutes from downtown Madison, UW Campus, Camp Randall, and the Alliant Energy Center.

The living room and kitchen feature large picture windows for unobstructed views of the lake. The first floor features the kitchen, living room, and full bathroom with jacuzzi. While the 2nd floor is home to the three bedrooms and 2nd full bathroom. All bedrooms have views of the lake.

The living room features a 75" Samsung smart TV with a Sonos speaker system. The back deck has a large dining table with rocking chairs and bench to enjoy your morning coffee. There is a 4-burner propane gas grill on the deck which makes grilling out a blast while you watch boaters and fisherman cruise by. The backyard is great for yard games and also features a 3'x3' firepit by the water. The house is stocked with firewood.

The property is perfectly located for ice fishing in the winter. The backyard is very popular area for ice fishing in the winter. Set up your tip ups and warm up by the firepit while you wait for your tip ups to go off.

Excellent location!

We had a great time, the host was excellent and very accommodating. This home is in an excellent location, right off the water in a bay connected to Lake Monona. Excellent fishing.

Beautiful house on lake

House was well appointed, with everything you needed in the kitchen, great large screen TV and multiple Sonos speakers. Yard had nice fire pit and table/chairs to enjoy the outdoors. Numerous wild birds (geese, ducks, etc.) made for a wonderful trip. And Mitch was very responsive.

Great view, Good house

This was a comfortable house with an outstanding view of lake Monona. I enjoyed watching the sun come up on the water. It was in a quiet neighborhood. My only comments is that it was a very expensive rental and lacked the polish I would have expected. There were no bedside tables, no night lights in the bedroom area, a lumpy futon in the third bedroom instead of a bed, no coffee cups and no space in kitchen cabinets for our food. I think with a few minor improvements it will be worth the price.

Great Lake House Stay

The owner was very responsive and worked with us well to accommodate our needs and requests. Communication was excellent. Beautiful property. Boat dock with slip to tie up a boat.

I grew up in Madison and have always dreamed of living on a lake. Some of my greatest memories growing up were on a lake whether I was fishing, swimming, waterskiing, or tubing. I take a lot of pride in my house and want to be able to share it with others.

I fell in love with this property when I first saw it. First off, it is located on an island! Next, your view out the back makes you feel like you are up north with no signs of the hustle and bustle of city living. Then just around the corner is the State Capitol Building and Madison skyline. It truly is a special place and tough to beat.
