Peaceful home on the NJ Delaware canal tow path, blocks away to town.
The Canal house is a 2 bedroom 1 & 1/2 Bathroom, On The Delaware and Raritan Canal state park tow path, only a few block walk to Main Street Lambertville. You can enjoy the front porch swing bench and watch the people and ducks on the canal or the private fenced in back yard with an out door dining table. you can also enjoy the view of the canal from a private second floor screened in porch. We have made this Canal Builderâs 1850âs era home into a comfortable and fun place to enjoy while visiting the Lambertville and New Hope areas. This special place is close to everything, making it easy to plan your visit.
Have stayed multiple times and during every season. This was our first winter stay, and while we missed the use of screened in porch, and back patio, the convenience of location, and serenity of canal path were appreciated. House was cozy and comfortable during the cold temperatures, and we had all the amenities we needed.
This was our second stay here amd we loved it jist as much as the first time. Eliot is very responsive and the house is very clean and comfortable. We hope to be back again sometime.
Iâm not sure why the app wants me to review a winery, because we did not visit one. However, we certainly did enjoy this perfectly delightful, clean, comfortable and homey property on the towpath in Lambertville. Everything about the space is lovely, especially all of the beautiful pieces of art. We had a wonderful time hanging out in the back yard and going for walks. The owners are very helpful and knowledgeable about all the restaurants and fun things to do in the area. Excellent escape from the city without being in the middle of nowhere. We go to Lambertville often and this was absolutely perfect for gathering with my family who live in the area.
We loved being right on the canal towpath, not only enjoying the idyllic nature of it all, but also having a fun way to bike/walk into town for pizza and across the bridge for more adventures. It was also fun to watch and greet the parade of dog walkers, and families strolling the towpath, all of which felt like a warm embrace from Lambertville. Elliott's home was spotless and cozy. Elliott, himself, was a welcoming host and responsive with any concerns or clarifications. A previous reviewer had mentioned the steepness of the steps and they are steep and could prove an issue for those renting with little ones or for those with compromised movement.
What a perfect place for a girls weekend! The house is spotless and utterly comfy and cozy. Easy to access, yet private and quiet. Walk to and from any place in Lambertville and New Hope with the confidence that your temporary home awaits! Thanks, Elliot!
Perfect little spot next to the canal. Very peaceful and quiet. The location is a very quick walk to the main shops in town and easy walk to the New Hope side of the bridge. The kitchen and bathroom was well equipped. The couch was comfy. I would absolutely stay there again.
I wanted to take a moment to share my thoughts about a property Iâve been staying at for years. Itâs truly a gem! The location is fantastic, offering both peace and safety, which is so important to me. Moreover, itâs conveniently close to a variety of shops and restaurants, making everything easily accessible and provide a parking spot you never have to use transportation. If youâre looking for a place to stay, I highly recommend considering this property. I donât think youâll be disappointed!
We rented this for a relative. They absolutely loved the peace and tranquility of this place. They enjoyed walking the towpath at night. Sipped coffee while on the porch overlooking the water, watching the ducks and geese. They also enjoyed the proximity to so many shops and restaurants.
An older and charming home with ample spacss to relax. Spotless kitchen and bathrroms. Beautiful towpath along the canal right out front brings you to town amenities easily.
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Elliottâs home along the canal. It was clean, well-stocked, peaceful, and very comfortable. We have stayed at a few different spots in the area and this was our favorite. We would certainly come back again.
This was our third time staying at this property. It's accessible to everything in Lambertville/New Hope by foot, and is uniquely situated right on the canal. It's quiet and private, yet right in town. The stairs to the second floor are narrow (the house old historic but well maintained) and may pose an issue for some. There are handrails, though.
The day before I was to meet up with my sister to visit our family and friends in the area, we booked this wonderful place. Holiday travel can be hectic, but our experience while renting this property couldn't have been better. Our first morning waking up here, we were drawn out on a walk on the towpath and were instantly relaxed. The house was comfortable and accommodating. We loved the artwork and little touches that made it so welcoming! We used it as a home base for our visits to family members in the area. The location allowed us to be close to family and in a beautiful place: We walked and enjoyed the sweet town in the mornings and then did our visits in the afternoons. The trip to and from the Phila airport was really simple. It's a great place. We want to stay here again!
My mom and I stayed for a weekend, and we really enjoyed our stay. The house is in a perfect location and is only a short walk to shops and restaurants in Lambertville and New Hope. The tow path makes it very convenient to walk everywhere and we enjoyed seeing all the ducks in the canal. The house was very clean. We had a little bit of trouble figuring out the heating in the living room, but Eliot was super quick to respond to our questions and even came out to look at it himself. I would definitely stay here again.
