This will be an annual trip for sure

No complaints, as advertised, awesome host, coffee shop right below for morning coffee, great bar and grill (Cal and Rods) with really good sandwiches, burgers and pizza Will DEFINATELY stay again.

Spacious and clean. Accurate pics, location. We are a family of 5- 2 parents and 3 adult children who stayed here for a wedding. Everything was lovely. Decorations and cozy furnishings made you feel at home. Enjoyed our stay. Would highly recommend!!

Great Stay!

We were there to hike at Backbone with two other couples and it was the perfect place to stay for us! We each had a room with comfy beds, a dining table big enough for all of us, and common living room to relax in at night. Great coffee shop right below and grocery store just a block down the street.

A hidden Gem on Main Street.

We were very impressed with the location and size of the property. We were able to comfortably to have 10 people over for game night and multiple meals.

Cozy Convenience

Fabulous accommodations and amenities. The unit is spacious and comfortable, conveniently located in the heart of Strawberry Point. Had to call to get check-in information, but the host was easy to get in contact with. Would definitely stay here again.

Great stay in Strawberry Point

The apartment was spacious with high ceilings and plenty of space. The stairway up might be a lot for some, about 20 stairs. Very comfortable and a great area.

Charming and Wonderful

We absolutely loved our stay. We loved the high ceilings and the wonderful spacious layout. I highly recommend and staying here as the pictures do not show the cozy and wonderful charm of this apartment. The location right above Embers coffee shop made the weekend perfect!

Well-appointed and furnished.

This place had everything we needed and things we didn’t know we needed! Streetlights shining at the tops of windows was annoying but we came up with a solution.

Summer Weekend

Had a great stay and enjoyed how close it was to backbone. Beautiful unit, very clean, and easy to check in. Side note on finding the property, it's above the coffee shop! We managed to come on a Friday in time for the farmer's market. While small, everyone was friendly, had great prices, and good produce. Will definitely be staying again!

Hidden Gem in Northeastern Iowa

Great Getsway

This property is perfect for a girls or guys getaway, couples, or families with older children. It is close to Backbone State Park, a great coffee shop, a good bar and grill, a grocery store, Dollar General, and shop hopping in Elkader. It is a large and spacious apartment with everything you need to cook meals. The only thing potential renters should be aware of is that it is on the 2nd floor of an old building, which means climbing stairs. If you want to visit Backbone and not have to pack everything thing such as linens and dishes this is the perfect place.
