À propos de cet hébergement

Rialto by Open Air Homes - Architectural Retreat

Summary:
This architectural masterpiece built by the sought after architect Steven Shortridge is the quintessential Venice Beach retreat. No detail has been missed, published in the LA Times and California Home Design. This modernist and expansive home provides privacy from the moment you step in the door, enveloped by nature. This home is perfectly designed for digital nomads - work from home, take a break to grab lunch on Abbot Kinney 1 block away, and experience Venice Beach at it's finest.

The Space:
When entering this space from the street, you are first struck by the serenity, as you are enveloped by nature. The first level sits about 10 feet above the road, providing ultimate privacy. You are greeted by oversized doors as you step onto the outdoor living area. Entering into the kitchen, you can live the true indoor outdoor lifestyle, which then takes you over to a beautiful dining room. Up a half flight of stairs, and you are in the living room, with beautifully appointed furniture throughout. Up the stairs you will find the two bedrooms plus office. You will be struck by the details throughout, as architect Shortridge left no corner unturned. The primary bedroom has large windows and blackout shades, and entering the primary bathroom, you are greeted by an oversized bathtub. The generous sized second room is on the opposite end of the floor, along with the office with an oversized couch. Head up one more flight of stairs, and you are at the tallest roof deck in Venice, with the best views in the city. There is a beautiful hot tub on the roof, and is perfect for relaxing in the warm California air after a day of exploring the city.

Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the entire home and the driveway to park. There will be no one else on the property, other than the weekly gardener, unless otherwise discussed with you in advance.

This home requires weekly cleaning by our professional housekeeping team. This is a full clean of the house and change of linens. We pay our cleaners a fair, livable wage and we always strive to hire the best, most reliable and honest cleaners in the business. This team is the backbone of our company, and they work tirelessly to ensure every stay is a clean one!

The Neighborhood:
When visiting Venice Beach, you are entering the most walkable and bike friendly city in all of Los Angeles. We recommend exploring the great restaurant scene on Abbot Kinney, Rose Ave and Main/Pacific, as well as on the boardwalk. There has been a revival of the restaurant scene, and the shopping has always been top notch, especially on Abbot Kinney.

Be sure to walk Abbot Kinney, especially on the weekends, if you want to see a great example of the vibrancy of this community. If you’re up for a bike ride, take the path North all the way to the start of Malibu, or there is a secret path through Marina Del Rey that can take you all the way down on a bike path to Redondo.

We recommend walking the walk streets, and seeing all of the unique architecture throughout the entire community. The canals are also worth checking out to view the unique history of Venice Beach.

Getting Around:
Most people choose to have a car when visiting Southern California. There are an abundant amount of unique and significant attractions within two hours of this home. If you’re an explorer, we recommend a car.

If you’re the type that wants to arrive and relax at the house on your vacation, Uber and Lyft are readily available as well.
