Great stay!

This was a great place to unwind after a day out in Itasca. Clean, cozy and private without being secluded. Friendly hosts with delicious ice cream, they even add a cherry on top!

Clean and close to State Park

We had a great time staying here. Very clean and only a few minutes away from Itasca state park. We'll definitely come back and stay again.

Family Get Away

My family and I enjoyed our stay and loved how close it was to the park and long lake! It was clean and the property manager was readily available to answer any and all questions! We will hopefully be able to book our stay here again for next year!

Little Motel

This was the perfect location for our stay in upper Minnesota. The little motel is clean and modern with a log cabin feel. This is our second stay here and we tried a different room, which was also lovely. We would definitely stay again@

Nice property

Rented a room at Big Timbers to attend a wedding in Itasca State park. Loved the proximity to the park and the room was lovely. Clean, updated, quiet and an ice cream shop next door. Would stay again.

We stayed two nights to enjoy Itasca State Park. We were fortunate to meet property owner Christine , very personable. Everything met our expectations and wouldn’t hesitate to book again in the future

Location, Location, Location

We stayed for our recent trip to visit the Mississippi Headwaters. Located across the street from the entrance road. Headwaters are about a 5 minute drive.The room is as advertised. Everything looks freshly remodeled. The beds are comfy and everything is very clean. It is very quiet and the TV channel selection is exceptional.

Beautiful place right outside Itasca State Park

My husband, daughter and grandson spent two nights at Tall Timber will we explored the area. The lodging is lovely and clean and everything we needed for our stay. Our host Christine is wonderful. An added bonus is the gift shop, ice cream and pizza right on site!

Perfect location

Perfect location at the north entrance to Itasca State Park and the Mississippi headwaters. The room was quiet and clean, the towels were big and fluffy, the bed was very comfortable and there was ice cream across the parking lot. Couldn’t ask for anything more!

Great spot just outside itasca

Super easy access for me and my dog to hike in Itasca state park. Clean and rooms were new. Check in and out were simple and straight forward. Hopefully will be back this winter for some snowmobiling.
