The Guest House

Come enjoy the comforts of our home in this newly remodeled 2200 square foot home featuring 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room, family room, bonus game room, fully equipped kitchen, back deck, firepit and more. We have 1 bedroom with a King size bed, 2 bedrooms with queen and a bedroom with adult size full over full sized mattresses with an additional twin trundle; along with 2 living areas our home sleeps 14 comfortably.
Being a family with handicap needs ourselves we renovated with our front entrance, King bedroom, full bathroom, dining area and walk out deck all to be accessible. Our front ramp is well lit and built to ADA standards.
Our home has 3 large smart TVs and Wifi for all your favorites as well as foosball and air hockey table, darts and more in our bonus game room. Our walk out deck backs up-to beautiful green views and plenty of visiting deer throughout the changing seasons.
Consider us as an extension of your own home for holidays, weddings, reunions, graduations, and all your favorite occasions.

Johnie was an excellent communicator, the house was clean and ready on arrival. The house really met our needs for our stay. The home is wheelchair accessible which worked well for my wife in a wheelchair. We had a great stay!

What’s great place to stay while celebrating my daughter’s wedding. The host was very accommodating and the house was comfortable and clean. I highly recommend booking if you are needing to stay in the area.

Perfect for a family!

We had a family wedding in the area and it was the perfect place for everyone to stay and enjoy the festivities! Lots of space and we even made use of the grill!

Family Weekend

We stayed at the Guest House for my nieces graduation and it was perfect for our needs! Clean, spacious, and plenty of rooms for our family. The owner left us delicious cookies and we were able to check in early which was an added plus. Would definitely stay here again in the future!

Wonderful place

All good and so roomy.. only thing we needed to bring was a pizza cutter and pan.. there was none. But it was such a great place with soo much room and comfy. We were close to the wedding venue there.

Christmas getaway

We stayed 2 nights. We stayed at the house the whole time. Kitchen was stocked with basics. Anything else, we were able to get at grocery and hardware stores in nearby town. The house provided plenty of space and sleeping areas.

We had a wedding at Timber's Edge and this house was perfect! Very roomy and nice! Johnnie was easy to work with. I would definitely recommend!

Great for a family

The house was clean, comfortable and easy to host family. We came up for a wedding and celebrated a birthday at the house. There was plenty of room and the host was very welcoming. It was hard to reach her through VRBO, but she responded well to direct messages via text. I would recommend for anyone staying in the area.

Steamboat Rock Reunion

My wife’s sisters and her best friend met us in Steamboat for a mini reunion! We thoroughly enjoyed the property - very comfortable and quiet! We even met the neighbors who turned out to be former neighbors of my wife & sisters when they lived on a farm near Owasa. Small world! We would happily rent this property again.

Extended family trip

This property is represented very accurately in the description and photos. There was enough room for everyone to spread out and have their own space. The kitchen was stocked well. The backyard is very large, we used it for lawn games and a campfire. Communication with the owner was great! Very nice property!

Perfect for family

Pleasant & positive experience! I liked how the house was decorated. Bath towels, bedding provided.Many items available for our use including a coffee maker, toaster, iron & ironing board. Attached garage available for 2 vehicle especially nice for rain or Iowa's Winter weather. Myself, my adult children and their significant other...found this home delightful & convenient location for our stay while we were in the area for a wedding, at Timber Edge. Literally 2 minute drive away

Family Reunion Fun

We came to Iowa for a family reunion. The house was perfect for what we needed (family of 6 plus my sister in law and her husband). The kids loved the downstairs area and claimed it as their own. The foosball table, mini arcade game and their own living room was a hit! Open floor plan was nice for the night everyone came over to have dinner at “our” house. Outside was beautiful with plenty of space for the kids to run around, had several outdoor games set up for the adults. We would definitely rent again next time we are here!
