House was well equipped with everything you needed with a great kitchen that was well stocked. Decks were beautiful as well. Overall it was a great experience and we highly recommend it. Excellent getaway cabin

I spent a few days last month (July 2025) at this beautiful cabin in Arrowhead with my partner for a short outdoor getaway. The cabin was clean, well-equipped, perfectly located, and wonderfully quiet. The check-in and check-out process was smooth and hassle-free. Opie was incredibly helpful and easy to communicate with. We’d love to return at the first opportunity.

Woodhaven was a very comfortable place to stay. My two daughters brought friends and they each had their own space to hang out. Plus my husband and I had our space. The kitchen had all that you would need. The place was clean and well kept up. Opie the owner is great and easy to communicate with. This is a great place for a family. Lots of places to hang out as a family or separated.

Quiet cabin in the woods

We were looking for a place to get the family together and luckily we found Opie's place. The Woodhaven cabin was amazing. The cabin had everything we needed plus so many extras. Fantastic Tree house retreat in the woods!

Our family and friends had the best 4th of July getaway at Opies! The house was stocked with anything and everything you could imagine. Close to both arrowhead and Lake Gregory. The host was super helpful with tons of suggestions and tips. Would definitely stay again. 💙

Wonderful Family Spot!

We had a great time at Opie’s place! It was exactly as described in the listing and had everything we needed. As a mom of two children (0-6) it was amazing to have things like children’s games, plates, a pack and play and high chair to use while we were there. It made such a difference. As well, Opie was super communicative. Overall, wonderful stay and we would totally stay there again.

Perfect cabin

Almost wanted to gatekeep this place! Im so glad I was able to stay at this cabin. Opie was a spectacular host, was very flexible when we had issues days before our check in, and was always available to answer when we had questions. Summer Getaway

Opie is not only the ultimate host, but the property itself is unreal and a perfect treat. The home layout is so amazing and 100% accurate to the pictures, Our weekend was packed with memories and lots to do thanks to an amazing location, and Opie’s guides! Anticipated everything

The owner of this home anticipated every need you could think of from a variaty of coffee and hot water machines, to games, a kids library, power cords by all the beds to charge just about any phone type, parking passes for trails, etc. It blew my mind how much was thought of. In addition, the home was beautifully designed and very comfortable.

Cozy Escape

This property was an absolute dream. To have stayed here was an honor and the owner was such a delight. Any questions I had were promptly answered and most questions you would have were already answered in the messages sent before check in / check out or in picture frames around the home. The place is a smart home and made the stay so much easier. Made us come home wanting to buy a million Alexa’s lol. The holiday decorations were amazing and a magic touch to our stay. All areas of the home looked well taken care of and clean. I absolutely loved every second of staying here. I would love to return during the summer one day but for now I’m glad I got to experience a weekend in this property. Thank you Opie for allowing us to create life long memories in your home!

Treetop mountain ⛰ cabin in Lake Arrowhead

Cabin- Woodhaven Our experience with Our Host, Opie and the property properly named Woodhaven is exceptional, giving them both 5 stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Communication is excellent as my questions and concerns were addressed promptly and offered solutions. The check in process seamless & easy. The cabin interior is jaw dropping as no detail was overlooked from the extensive supplies in the kitchen to the quality of bedding, covers, pillows, etc. The layout of the cabin was functional, creative and FUN. The cabin exterior is impressive as the deck’s layout provide’s maximum seating while having 2 separate seating areas. The place was very clean, modern, had everything we needed to feel at home and even got to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. Memories forever cherished. We would highly recommend this wonderful treetop mountain cabin in Lake Arrowhead.

AMAZING STAY! Beautiful home, everything you need.

Booked this home to getaway from the norm and celebrate our daughters 16th Birthday. It was everything she and we wanted. Beautiful spacious home. Kitchen is outstanding and has everything I needed to cook small and large meals and I even baked an apple crisp! Beds are very comfortable and felt clean and fresh! Living area is comfortable, TV options, games and much more. Deck was perfect! It wasn’t too cold but we still had a fire inside and loved it. House had the basics, shampoo, body wash, laundry care, paper towels which was perfect. We shopped at Stater Bros. Market for food and essentials and they were great! We travel with our two small frenchies and the house was very dog friendly. We only had 4 in our party after all but the house could sleep several more :) HOST WAS AWESOME. Very responsive and kind. We hope to come back in winter. BOOK THIS ONE, look no further!

Treetop Hideaway

We rented Opie's treetop cabin to use as a family gathering place where we could celebrate our Mother's 75th birthday. It was perfect! The A-frame cabin was easy to locate and was exactly as pictured. We could not open the front door with the code provided, but as soon as I contacted Opie, he answered the phone immediately and assisted us in getting inside. The adorable cabin was well-equipped and spacious, with plenty of soft beach towels and cozy blankets for everyone. There were also pockets of private areas where we could be alone to nap, catch up on reading, or simply relax. The modern kitchen was large and made for a fun place to cook together and gather for yummy breakfasts and dinners. The BBQ on the tree-lined deck was amazing for grilling sizzling steaks under the stars. The beds and pillows were nothing short of HEAVEN. So fluffy, soft, and incredibly comfortable! I even took a picture of the tag on the pillow because I want to find one for home! What a lovely place to lay down after an adventurous day at the lake. Overall, this weekend was filled with memories, good times, and laughter. We can't wait to come back again.

The property itself is gorgeous and very well taken care of. The owner is beyond lovely and went out of his way to make our trip to Lake Arrowhead as good as it could possibly be. The landscape immediately around the cabin is also quite pretty. So, if you are looking for a spectacular cabin in the woods, this is really it. I would not change a thing. What I would change is the Lake Arrowhead community. Everything is very tightly restricted and there is a real aura of the entire area being a members only club. For example, we walked down the road from the cabin and our kids saw a playground. They ran towards it only to discover that the playground was behind fences and gates with key codes. A lady was walking in with her kids and, when we asked if we could come in for a bit too so the kids could play, she advised that we had to be members of the nearby golf club to enter. The staff at the golf club were equally snooty when we asked. The lake, its beaches and its nearby trails all function in the same way. You *can* get access to these things as guests at this cabin but first, you must pay the relevant club, register in the club's office and then wear the appropriate bracelet or lanyard. Compared to America's national parks, where we have always been able to walk wherever we wanted, Lake Arrowhead's restrictive rules left us feeling disconcerted and ill at ease. We won't be back, but the reason has absolutely nothing to do with this spectacular cabin or its wonderful owner.

Cozy getaway

The home is great, very cozy. Lots of cute areas to hang out and kids loved the bunk room/games. Stocked with just what you need. We had a concern in the middle of the night and Opie was very responsive and addressed it immediately which was much appreciated. As noted in the description the driveway is fairly steep. We arrived at night and weren’t able to drive up with our small suv but were able to in the day when we could see better. Had there been snow/ice I think it would have been impossible for us to make it even in the day. Just something to be aware of as it is a trek up the stairs if you are carrying luggage/with kids.

Professionally, I'm a creative director for a biotech innovation lab in Orange County, previously working on projects with Walt Disney Imagineering, Verizon, and small businesses alike.

Personally, I'm a dog dad to my doodle dog "Cody," love escaping to the forest and hiking and kayaking on Lake Arrowhead, and have served in youth ministry for the past 12 years at my church – a passion that inspired Woodhaven as a place of retreat and connection, where there's a seat for everyone at the table to be well-fed, included, and loved.

Woodhaven has a cozy, modern cabin interior with smart lights, alexas, and beautiful views throughout. And of course, pets are allowed!

The layout is perfect for large families / multi-families – featuring large common areas as well as private rooms and another living room / bunk room for kids as play areas. Not to mention a loft overlooking the living room and tree tops through the floor to ceiling windows in the living room.

Privacy:
When you look out the windows or sit on the deck, you're surrounded by trees all around you—not looking straight into another house's living room. You won't find that in many rental properties around here.

Smart Home:
No need to lift a finger to turn on or off lights. The majority of Woodhaven has custom colored lights as well to adjust throughout the day. Want something extra special? Try saying "set the mood" in the primary suite.

Outdoor Living:
There's nothing like the cool, fragrant breezes pouring through the whole cabin at sunset. You can eat inside or outside, and enjoy the tree-top views everywhere.

Outdoor Lounge:
One of my favorite areas at Woodhaven—a great place to unwind during the day and experience at night with uplighting on the forest trees.

Laundry Room:
A fully-equipped interior laundry area with free detergent pods to use any time you need.

Entertainment:
You'll be able to access live TV, HBO, Netflix, Hulu, or Prime video on the TV, play tons of board games for both kids and adults, listen to house-wide music on the Alexas, and access the best hiking trails in the area within 15 minutes.

Rapid Responses:
Opie makes every effort to respond within 5-10 minutes to any request.

Easy Check In / Out:
Digital door lock allows entry and check out to be instant without needing to hassle keys / contacting the host.
