2-Bedroom Condo in the Heart of the Gorge!

STUNNING VIEWS!! This stylish new ground level condo is centrally located within minutes of all the New River Gorge National Park has to offer. Ziek's Place allows you to enjoy the peaceful tranquility of country living all while being within a 15 min drive to popular hiking trails, mountain biking, rafting, mountain climbing, horseback riding, etc. Also within 15 mins is the quaint little town of Fayetteville, which offers shopping, dining, and gear for all your outdoor adventures.

For you winter adventurer's we are located 45 minutes from Winter Place Ski Resort!!

This home features 2 separate units. The unit you will be staying in is the ground level unit. The unit has a private separate entry and separate outdoor area/firepit. Large, shared parking area (2 car maximum for each unit).

Guest will have access to the entire ground unit and separate outside living space/firepit.


Other things to note:

Self Lane is a gravel country road and country roads can be bumpy or rougher at times than paved roads. 4-wheel drive or AWD may be needed in the winter to access this unit there is an incline going into the driveway and may be slick in the winter.
This is a lower-level unit and guest may experience noise from other guest at times. 2 portable white noise machines are provided and can be used in any room in the unit.

The condo was just what we needed for three adults and 2 children. Plenty of dishes/cookware for meals. Beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were spotless. Family friendly with step stools for sinks and games for the family. Located in a quiet location and the directions were accurate to find the location. Fayettville and area attractions were an easy drive. Host had great communication leading up to our stay and we had no issues with check-in.

Great place! Very clean and high quality amenities! Enjoyed our stay! We were very pleased with the space, the only draw back was the noise from the upper unit. We unfortunately did lose out on some sleep because of it, if you’re a light sleeper beware. And you probably will hear thuds etc throughout the day. I’d also note to make sure to follow the directions sent from the host because they were perfect; as gps doesn’t get you all the way down the lane to the home. There is a large hill to go up but no issue for a larger vehicle. Just minutes to town and beautiful views! There were games and TVs in each room! WiFi did struggle at times but no large issue. Overall great place!

The condo is extremely nice, updated, comfortable and clean. The rooms are very large and open and the kitchen was perfect for us. The location was ideal for our hiking and waterfalling trip in the New River Gorge area. The property location is beautiful and very quiet and a perfect area for viewing the sunrise. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

We really enjoyed the accommodations. We especially liked the added bonus of four deer frolicking in the yard. (They also were in the fenced-off garden area causing trouble, but don't tell anybody. LOL)

This place was absolutely fantastic! Perfect location for all of the trials, hikes and adventures we wanted to do within the New River Gorge area. The house was perfect, it was clean, beautifully decorated and perfect for our family of 5. The updated decor and fully stocked kitchen added to the charm and convenience of traveling.The kids absolutely the loved the yard, disc golf course and the fire pit. If we are ever back in the area we would absolutely stay here again! Definitely a 10 out of 10 experience in every category

Lovely unit. Clean and modern. Internet lagged a bit but we were not there for work so mostly manageable. Kitchen well equipped but would have liked some kitchen tongs and aluminum foil. Overall an excellent stay. Will certainly stay here again if in the area.

Beautiful place for a getaway with family or friends. Very quiet country setting. We had the bottom floor to this condo. It was very well decorated and very comfy beds. The shower in the main bath was very large with a rainfall shower head. Was just right after a fun filled day of hiking and adventures. Would highly recommend this place.

We stopped here on our to Carolina Beach for 2 night and now want to make a trip at this house after our recent visit. I had a million questions, and they answered them quicky and kindly. The house was in amazing shape and in a beautiful location. There was so much to do in the area with our 9 and 6 year old. The house had all the basic thing we needed. We really can not wait to come back with family!

My husband Jeff and I were born and raised in West Virginia. We have lived in the New River Gorge area over 40 years. We are outdoor enthusiast and love everything the New River Gorge National Park has to offer. We are so excited to be able to share our vacation home with others visiting the Park.

This property was our first home. We built it together in 2001 shortly after being married. In 2003 we experienced a fire and as a result we lost our home and our beloved black lab Ziek. When we rebuilt this property as a vacation rental, we named the property Ziek's Place in his honor; he saved our lives in the fire and we wanted to ensure his name and memory was carried on for years to come. We are so excited to share our vacation home and Ziek's story with you. We love the Gorge and know that you will love it here too!!

Our property is located in a tranquil country neighborhood. We love the stunning views of the sunrise and mountains from the patio. Our property allows you to be at the trailhead of several local trails and the town of Fayetteville in 5-15 minutes. We built this place ourselves and incorporated many unique features into the build and decor that we hope you will love as much as we do!!!
