Welcome to Casa Galvez. The home can sleep 16 comfortably with 6BR and 6 Baths for your convenience. There are 8 beds in total: 1 King, 5 Queen, 2 Full. Each room has its own AC for personal settings. Two of the BR have a 55 inch TV and you will also find a large 65 in TV in the family room with space for many to gather and enjoy a movie or play some of the boards games found in the room. The home also offers the convenience of 5 private parking spaces in the back via the residents`s alley.
You will LOVE your stay at this Colonial Style Home with modern decorations, amenities and a fabulous backyard with a Grilling Shack and Bar for the outdoor lovers. The home is ideally located, only 5 blocks from the Sea Wall. Itâs surrounded by all major attractions like Pleasure Pier only 1 mile away. Choose from the endless restaurants within a few miles of the house including Shykatz Cafe & Bakery across the street. Come and make some memories!
Cooking lovers will find a complete kitchen to work with. Coffee lovers will have access to a traditional drip coffee maker or a Keurig for a personal touch, so bring your K-Pods and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea in one the two beautiful porches in the front of the house.
The patio area is ideal to spend time in the day or night time with plenty of sitting areas and corn hole for some fun. Cool nights or craving Sâmores? No worries, we have you covered. Sit around the fire pit for some enjoyment as you welcome the night in with the beautiful patio lighting.
Laundry room available on premise for your convenience.

Great neighborhood to take a walk, bike ride, or take up a notch by renting a golf cart. The home has 5 private parking spaces in the back of the home
For all you History Buffs, our house and the City of Galveston are both named after American Revolutionary War hero Bernardo de Galvez, who was a Spanish military figure who led forces against Britain in the Revolutionary War. He is one of just eight people to be awarded honorary U.S. citizenship. additionally, this home is considered a Historical Landmark as it survived the infamous 1900 Galveston Hurricane.
CASA GALVEZ HOUSE RULES
As your host, we aim to make your stay as comfortable as it can possibly be! Our mission is to help our guests create beautiful family memories in our home. For us to do so, we would truly appreciate it if you can follow these house rules and confirm that they have been reviewed. This is to ensure that if there is any reason why the House Rules cannot be followed by you or anyone in your party, we will have the right of canceling the booking before your stay, penalty free, as we have a firm cancellation policy. Thank you in advance and we truly appreciate your cooperation!
Check-in is at 4PM and check-out is at 11AM.
Only the guests noted in the booking are allowed on the premises. A $30
charge will be added for every extra guest
No parties. If guests are found to have had a party without host permission, guests will be responsible for an extra cleaning charge of $250 and in the unfortunate event the disruptions affect our neighbors, GUESTS WILL BE ASKED TO VACATE THE PROPERTY IMMEDIATELY.
No events, unless event was discussed before your stay. (i.e Wedding, Business Meeting or outing, Graduation, etcâŠ)
Keep noise to a minimum after 10pm.
There shall NOT be smoking inside the house. Extra cleaning fees to remove odor and stains may be applied.
PLEASE WASH YOUR DISHES after use. If dishes are not washed, extra cleaning fees may be applied.
PARKING: Street parking available in front of house. They are on a first come first serve basis. Please be mindful of our neighbors` handicap parking next door. We have 5 additional parking spaces in the rear of the house for our guest only. You can enter through the alley way off 16th street.
We have board games in the large family room for our guestâs entertainment. Please return all accessories to their rightful places at the end of your stay.
Feel free to use the Grilling Shack outside that is set up for our super guestsâ leisure use only. The BBQ Grill is to be used by the guests who stay at the home.
If using BBQ Grill, please clean up after yourselves and keep the grill clean. If found left dirty and requires extra cleaning, an extra cleaning fee may be required.
If you have a problem with something in the house and reach out to us or to Airbnb to report it - you are giving us and/or our handyman the right to enter the premises and fix said problem. If you refuse to allow us to enter the property, you give up the right to request a refund from Airbnb. We are here to make your stay enjoyable.
Please acknowledge that occasionally, we may leave consumables such as condiments or coffee for your pleasure. We try our very best to ensure that they are not expired. However, ultimately, it is up to the guestsâ discretion and inspection to consume these items if they wish. The host does not take any responsibility for the consumables.
Please do NOT rearrange our furniture.
If guests are suspected of carrying and/or using illegal drugs of any kind, the authorities will be engaged, and GUESTS WILL BE ASKED TO VACATE THE PROPERTY IMMEDIATELY.
Lastly, because this is a vacation rental in a neighborhood and not a hotel, please be respectful of the property, neighbors, and community.

Texas Owners! We are a few friends who came together to own an incredible home in a place we love to spend time in with our families and are now sharing it with you! When the property is not used by one of us, we open it up for others to enjoy. We truly hope you see the beauty in the home as we do!
Voici pourquoi lâhĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement
This home is one of a few who survived the infamous 1900 Galveston Hurricane. Still considered one of worst natural disasters in history. It is a Historical Landmark that has been remodeled with modern amenities for all to enjoy. The home is centrally located to all destinations you would be interested in including the beach which is only 5 blocks away. There are only a few homes in Galveston that can hold up to 16 people in normal beds. We will not ask you to climb into a bunkbed. Most other large homes are located 30-40 minutes from where you want to be. Casa Galvez is truly one of a kind. The home offers you 6 bedrooms and 6 full baths. We have one bedroom with a kingsize temper-pedic mattress you will love to sleep on. Three bedrooms have a queen size bed you can cozy onto. One bedroom offers two queen beds for your comfort and ideal for parents with small children. The last bedroom is located in the front of house by the large porch and it has two full beds. The back patio is simply AMAZING. The large patio is shaded by a large Pecan Tree. Has outdoor seating and a BBQ Shack and Bar you will love to use. We LOVE our home and hope you do too.
