With 13 windows you will enjoy the panoramic views and a space full of that amazing California sunshine. The full kitchen includes all the necessities, feel free to dine in, or enjoy outdoor dining in the private yard. Enjoy walking this peaceful neighborhood. This is an upstairs unit.

Cute and cozy

Very cute and comfortable cozy place. Easy access, quiet, and clean. We needed to check in a little early to get to an engagement, and our host graciously allowed us to check in early. Great neighborhood environment. Would definitely stay there again! Thank you!!

Overall, it is a very nice and quaint property. It is very clean and wonderfully decorated. The main bed is absolutely one of the most comfortable ones I’ve ever been in
 loved the bedding, snuggly pillows, super soft extra blanket, and central coast breeze coming through the bedroom windows at night. However, the coffee maker did not work and there were no kitchen hand towels and no wash cloths for the bathroom. I also suggest supplying tissues and a shower mat to step on when wet. Also, a couple of throw rugs throughout the house would be good. And the stairs going into the unit were my least favorite part. Communicating with the host was less than optimal. She seemed unreasonable with my travel delay and accommodating an extra night at the end of my stay, since I missed my first night. She insisted I communicate directly with Vrbo customer service, but when I informed her that I was unable to reach Vrbo, she refused to assist. I did wait on hold to speak to Vrbo customer service for over two hours two different times. A simple modification from the host herself is all that was needed in this situation. Also, this property was advertised to have a hot tub, which it does not and when I brought that to the owners attention, she denied that being listed as such and when I checked the posting the next day it had been removed. I have a screenshot of the property initially listing it had a hot tub when I paid for my reservation. I am still not happy about that.

Deceptive photos

Yes it was relaxing and beneficial for what I needed. But, the photographs of this establishment can be deceptive. First of all from my understanding we are supposed to get a house not a mother-in-law quarters or a second floor apartment. I am handicapped and found it very difficult to get into the establishment. Plus, there were cars all over the residence to where I couldn't park into my designated space until much later in the day. When finally I was able to enter, I found it cute but dusty and the furniture needed upholstery cleaning. There was a step leading to and from the kitchen area that was difficult due to my handicap. I took pictures if anyone is interested. The stairs leading up and out of the apartment were loose from the wall in some places and very scary. The handrails also had issues along those lines. It did what I needed in the form of shelter but needs work.

Horrible experience

We checked into this property with a strong stench from the bathroom as soon as you enter. This looked like an attic annex converted into 1 bdrm apartment. We tried using an air freshner all over and waited several minutes, but the smell just kept hanging around. We messaged the owner and said that wouldn't work for us and our family. We spent the next couple of days in a hotel, and tried working with both VRBO and the owner to request a refund, but still haven't got a resolution on this, after several days calls/messages. Very poor response from VRBO and owner. Seriously doubt why this property was listed as a "vacation" rental. Overall, a horrible experience.

Nice little upstairs apt central Santa Maria

Neat, clean, cool "retro" kitchen. Great location. Perfect for 2, would not recommend 4, it would be very crowded. Only negative is that there's not really comfortable seating im the rental - two metal kitchen table chairs, and two single futon couches/folding beds with throw pillows.

Upon arrival, the accommodation was not cleaned, the garbage was still in the kitchen and smelled intensely. The bed was not made. Upon request to the landlord, the apartment was immediately prepared ready for occupancy, but we had to wait half an hour in front of the house. Therefore, the urgent recommendation BEFORE arrival to confirm in writing that the apartment is ready for occupancy.

We had some problems contacting the host,but met up the day we arrived. It is a cute place for 2 with a dog and very affordable. We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and has a cute private yard!
