The space
The expansive mudroom is perfect for stowing outdoor gear (please remove shoes before entering the main living area).
The kitchen is exceptionally well appointed and stocked by a true foodie. Designed for cooks who actually like to cook, it includes quality cookware, baking essentials, and full sets of plates, glassware, and cutlery to comfortably serve a crowd Wondering if we have a particular kitchen tool? Just ask! Past guests have hosted both Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners at Birdsong, and cooking here feels like a pleasure â not a chore.
With 3œ bathrooms, mornings are easy and unhurried.
Up the main staircase are three bedrooms:
Bedroom 1: King bed
Bedroom 2: Twin/full bunk bed
Bedroom 3: Queen bed plus twin
This level also includes two full bathrooms and conveniently located laundry facilities.
Accessed by a separate staircase, bedroom four features a queen bed and ensuite full bathroom â ideal for added privacy.
With high-speed internet and a dedicated workspace, Birdsong is well suited for remote work. A generator ensures that even an unexpected storm wonât interfere with important work obligations.
Guest access
Guests have access to the entire home and yard with fire pit. Parking is available for up to 5 cars.
Other things to note
While we share a driveway with our neighbors, there is ample parking at Birdsong. Please pull fully onto our property, as there is plenty of room for up to 5 cars. During winter months, snow tires, AWD, or 4WD are helpful, as the driveway is somewhat steep.
This is not a party house. We have nearby full-time neighbors and ask all guests to be respectful and treat the home as their own. Quiet hours are 11pmâ7am.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome with prior approval. The yard is unfenced, and with a nearby road and frequent wildlife, pets must be kept on a leash at all times. A $50 per pet fee applies at booking.
Forgot something essential or craving Upstate NYâs best ice cream? Stewartâs is just across the street (.4 miles). Valley Grocery is 8 minutes away and well stocked. For dining out, explore Keene, Elizabethtown, or nearby Lake Placid. See our list of favorites for local recommendations.
Notes:
There is a video doorbell that records and monitors the front yard.
Air conditioning units are located in each of the four bedrooms.
