Beautiful updated house

We were moving my mother-in-law into assisted living and my husband adult niece and I needed a place to stay for one night. This house was perfect. Very updated and super comfortable! I would’ve loved to have stayed here for a week!

Inviting and clean

Pros- Very clean, peaceful, and nicely decorated. Asthethically, very beautiful.Cons- Our bathroom towels in master bath were damp, and the person who lives across the street parks directly at the end of the driveway making it difficult for vehicles to back out of the driveway. Overall, we definitely recommend staying with this host and would stay again. Thank you!

Lovely old house

We were very impressed with the updated kitchen and loved the antiques. Bedroom with king was very comfortable. The queen bed squeaked every time of movement plus heard the train through out the night from that bedroom.

Great location; Nice older home

The house was very nice and comfortable. Bathrooms were updated. The location was perfect. Close to Riverside park and downtown Victoria. Also, Victoria is nicely situated as it's close to the coast, Cuero, and Goliad.

Observations

The property was eclectic with a mix of modern bathrooms and appliances and rustic furnishings. There were very few clothes hangers in the closet. There were no directions on how to operate the T.V. And we were unable to watch or locate sports channels. There was information on WiFi but that was it. The best feature was location.

Some confusion about this. The reservation was for 2 years ago & because of Covid we weren’t able to stay there unfortunately!

Cozy and comfortable

The home is a cozy little jewel tucked into the historic district of Victoria. It was the perfect place for a girls getaway.

Perfect place and location

Check in process was easy and convenient. The house was located in a good neighborhood and easy to find. i personally love that the house was not overly decorated as we have small children so less for them to get into. Even though we did not need the kitchen for our stay, it did seem to be stocked very well. There was plenty of space to park as well. We will definitely stay here again when we come to visit our family.

Cute and cozy home in Victoria Heights

The house was perfect for a visit with my dad. It was comfortable and even bigger than the pictures portrayed. Plenty of space for us to spread out and enjoy each other's company. The location made for great walks in the beautiful part of Old Victoria and easy access to downtown. It was a rainy weekend, so we didn't get to enjoy the backyard, which would have been nice to let the pups loose and on the patio enjoy a cocktail or two. We look forward to renting the home, again, as it made for a more intimate visit with dad, who lives in an assisted living community, so more of a staycation for him. Super cute home!

Quiet spot downtown

Nice and quiet location relative to downtown and central to Victoria, exactly as represented--clean, well-furnished, with numerous updates and plenty of space for a family gathering. Would select again.

A Charmer

Wonderful, comfortable , great location in old Victoria. The house is modern and updated on the inside with everything you need for a short or longer stay while retaining it's "old world" charm on the exterior. Would definitely recommend !

We loved this home away from home, I am from the area, and came home to visit, hoping this home is available everytime I come back in the future.. The bed was soooo comfy, the home was very lovely and such a victorian antique feel, with modern touches... I was very pleased to find a vacation rental in the area...I only wish I could of stayed longer...

Excellent!

This cottage is very clean, nicely furnished, comfortable, and surprisingly spacious. It had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The location is perfect for walking in Riverside Park, to the Pump House, or to see many of the beautiful historic homes in the area, and the area seems very safe so we had no concerns about walking at night. The host was wonderful, and made sure the house stayed warm in an unusual cold snap. We highly recommend this place.

mother daughter sanctuary

My mother was visiting from Oklahoma while I was busy with a local play production. We thoroughly enjoyed this sweet respite. Will definitely recommend to anyone visiting town!

Husband’s Memorial

I was in town for my husband’s memorial. Being Father’s Day I did not want to mess with over crowded restaurants and cold food. I hosted a light summer lunch for 8 and the home worked beautifully. Will certainly use it again
