Mordros House - 3 Bed luxury cottage in coastal Cawsand perfect for families

Mordros House is a 3 Bedroom, recently renovated and interior designed cottage nestled in Cawsand on the Rame peninsular, the "forgotten corner" of Cornwall. Situated a 2 minute walk from the gorgeous Cawsand Bay with a shingle beach with all its options for swimming and water sports or just relaxing and admiring the gorgeous view across Plymouth Sound.

With its twin village of Kingsand, Cawsand offers all amenities within a short walk of Mordros House; great pubs serving food, a restaurant, Community Cafe, Bakery, General Stores and Deli and Village Shop.

Kingsand has its own beaches and a couple of miles away is Whitsand Bay, a four mile stretch of sand and surf. The area is perfect for walks with circulars and shorter walks to the Mount Edgcumbe Estate and onto Rame Head itself.

Forgotten Corner

A wonderful cottage in a beautiful location. The cottage had everything you could desire for a relaxing week. We really enjoyed the super comfy beds, stunning bathroom and cosy log burner at the end of a blustery day on the beach.

Stunning property in perfect location

Could not rate this holiday home more highly. Such a beautiful property in the perfect location. Ross and Carole have thought about every little thing you could possibly need during your stay at Modros House. The beds were unbelievably comfortable and the decor designed to the highest standard. Communication was fantastic with even a little welcome pack of goodies on arrival - so thoughtful. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we will definitely be back!

Stylish cottage

The moment you step through the door you feel at home, every space has been well designed for comfort and practicality. The kitchen was well equipped and dining can be inside in the cute dining room or out in the courtyard. It was great having the outside shower to wash off from the beach. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mordor’s and wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Going Home

We have stayed in a number of properties in Kingsand and Cawsand over the past 15 years with a growing family. Mordros House is certainly up there with the best. Ross and Carole could not have been more helpful in the booking and communication process taking yhe potential stress out of issues and increasing enjoyment of the holiday. Mordros House is beautifully decorated with many lovely artistic features. Well thought out and lovingly restored. The online fact sheet is full of useful and up to date information for those not do familiar with the location. We all had a blast and look forward to going back next year.

Beautiful house in a beautiful place

We have been to Kingsand Cawsand many times with our young children and are so grateful to have found somewhere so close to the beach with a bit of space for us all, as well as an outside patio and for it to be just so beautiful and comfortable. Ross and Carol were so responsive and generous and we can't wait to come back to our happy place!

A lovely property

One of the best cottages we’ve ever stayed in, so much thought has gone into this newly renovated property. A great location, just a stones throw from the beach and easy access to the coast path . Host’s couldn’t have been more helpful, with all the info we needed provided in a handy pdf document. Highly recommended and would definitely stay again.

Boutique Rental Experience In Gorgeous Location

We feel very privileged to have been the first family to rent this newly renovated, exquisite property. Located 2 minutes from the beach and every detail accounted for. The house was stunningily decorated and really felt like staying in a boutique hotel. The owners were very helpful and responsive leading up to our stay and provided us with a comprehensive guide which covered everything in the local area. Cawsand is a gorgeous village within a short distance of the SW coast path. Lots to do from SUP to surfing; walking to visiting interesting places like the Mount Edgecombe estate. Couldn't recommend this place highly enough, perfect for families. We hope to be back. Thanks so much to Ross for helping to make our stay so special. Nicky & family
