Newly renovated cottage steps from the water

A unique piece of paradise in North Bimini, the “West Wing” (named for Richard Nixon, who came to Bimini to escape the public, and for would-be-President Gary Hart, whose career ended after an ill-advised cruise to Bimini aboard the aptly-named "Monkey Business") has a clean and comfortable living area with a full kitchen, nestled in a lush half-acre enclave. Enjoy our deck for outdoor BBQ, or hang out on the dock to watch the boats go by and the fish swimming below. West Wing is not directly on the water, but just a few steps away, and the property has 100 feet of waterfront with a large dock. No additional cost for boat docking; boats up to about 30' have docked here (low tide about 34"). No canals, no condos. The West Wing offers an authentic Bimini-island experience outside the resort and the condos, without sacrificing creature comforts and style. A private, gated property steps away from a friendly local community with great restaurants, bars, and stores. If you want a larger gathering with family or friends, we have two other cottages close by on our property (see #2814314 and #2881517). A quick cart ride south to Radio Beach and the attractions of Alice Town. And a quicker cart ride north to the restaurants, casino, and other offerings of Resort World. Starlink high-speed WIFI for Netflix (or checking in at work, if you must). Swim/snorkel right out front. Spectacular sunrises, sunsets, and rising moons are just out your doorstep!

Excellent communication from Joe - a very personal experience.The property is, perfectly located amongst a wonderful community of people, ideal for divers, boaters or beach lovers.The dock sunrises with coffee are glorious, the amenities are clean, new and well taken care of amongst beautiful grounds of coconut, palm and plantain trees.Grocery stores and places to eat are with in easy walking distance. Renting a cart like we did will also help, but you can also walk or catch a ride to get where you need to go if you are up for it. Perfect location, property and people to spend the holiday season with!

The property is well-maintained with 3 nicely renovated cabins, lovely landscaping, and a scenic waterfront.Amenities such as the dock and washer/dryer worked well and were just right for us. The owner was onsite and was very helpful and accommodating. The cabins were very comfortable with nice nautical artworks.We plan to stay there next time we're in Bimini.

We loved it-plain and simple

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage, and honestly felt like we couldn't have selected a better property. We are so grateful that we got to spend our week on Bimini here in the cottage. The AC worked wonderfully, Shequira was great at handling our needs (and getting us a golf cart), the place was super clean, and we felt really comfortable. Location was perfect too!

Couldn’t have been better!!

The best in Bimini

10 of us rented the 3 cottages and it was amazing. The views are insane (many days we didn’t even leave the property). The cottages are so cute and perfect. They have everything you need including laundry. The property manager was amazing and set up golf carts for us, dropped of propane for grills and was so quick to respond. We will definitely be back!

Nice two bedroom unit in Porgy Bay

We love all the units at this property. West Wing doesn't have the great views that the other two units do, but is still a cozy and comfortable place to stay. Kitchen has plenty of counter space which helps when processing the fish we catch.

better than expected

The place is located in a very quiet area on the island. A short walking distance to all the places you need, grocery store, liquor store, secluded beaches, restaurants, etc. Getting up every morning and watching the sunrise off the dock and drinking tea was incredible. Watching sharks, rays, barracuda and sea life off the dock was a big plus. A definite return for us!

Best VRBO in Bimini

This review is a 2-for-1 since we started in the smaller two bedroom unit (west wind) and then switched to the three bedroom (Ernie’s) after another group cancelled . Both units are excellent. My only complaint about west wind is that unlike the other units, it did not have a water carboy. Ernies’ is an incredible space. Great view, big living room dining area and kitchen. We were just three but this place can comfortably sleep 8+. For boaters, I have docked a 54’ center console here. You have to take care and stay in the channel, but the dock itself can handle a 4’ draft. There is water, but no shore power. All three units in this complex are beautiful, clean, and well appointed. They are my favorite place to stay when I'm in Bimini. Cannot recommend enough.

Host is not flexible

Have stayed at the property before. Overall it's a nice place. However, do not book this place in advanced, especially if you are crossing with a boat. The weather turned bad with the hurricane and made it unsafe to cross the Gulf stream . The host would not reschedule or refund. Also, the host was doing some weird things like requesting me to communicate with the current renter because he wanted to stay longer. The host could have extended his stay and shortened mine. But he wanted me to work a deal out directly. We contacted VRBO and they even tried to convince the host to be flexible and he wouldn't. Just be warned. Great little spot but the host will not work with you. Book last minute only.

after check-in hiccup.

First time to Bimini and chose this place because boat dock was included in rental fee. We were in the 2 br 2 bath cottage that was well equipped and clean (it does have keurig that is not mentioned as an amenity). It is not on the water - it sits behind the larger 3 br cottage - but is a very short walk to the water/dock. Location is about mid-island; literally next door to My 3 Daughters restaurant. Had decent communication with prop mgr in months/weeks leading up to arrival. Asked for help with a golf cart a month in advance but got no response to that request until 2 days before arrival. By then I had already secured one. Day before arrival I asked her for location and entry directions. That evening she screen shotted a message I had received re location from the owner in January when I rented the property. She didn’t answer question about entry day before or in morning of our arrival. I tried calling her after our 3 pm check in time but got no response. We finally tried last four digits of my cell number about 3:30 and were able to get in unit. Prop mgr responded about 5:30 pm with completely different code?? Owner replied via vrbo app around 7:30 pm with correct code and an apology. To his credit he did refund us one day rental for the miscommunication. Great stay and great location other than (major) hiccup re entry into the unit.

Nice cottage rental on a sketchy island

Exactly as advertised. A/C was very good. Bedding was very good. Clean property, which is very difficult to find in Bimini. Docks were also very good, although shallow in low tide which is normal.

Joe and Karen visited Bimini before they were married over 25 years ago. After island hopping with their two boys Pete and Sam (now grown) seeking out the best diving, fishing, and boating they finally bought these vacation cottages in Bimini in 2021. The whole family is certified Advanced scuba divers and Joe is a trained free diver. They wanted a place to share with extended family and rent to those seeking warm, stunning blue water and a friendly, local island community.

The location of the Cottages at Bimini (Ernie's, Martin's and West Wing) make it a special, idyllic place. It is a completely private, gated enclave for you to nestle into comfortably, but only a stone's throw from the friendly local community with great family restaurants and bars, Edith's famous pizza, Pat & Ebbie's bar & grill, a small liquor store, groceries, and shops. The health clinic is right across the street. A quick golf cart ride south to Alice town will take you to wonderful restaurants, Radio Beach, Dolphin house, and all the attractions of authentic Bimini. Or take a quick right north and in 4 minutes you can experience the restaurants, Casino, and other offerings of the Hilton and Resort World.

Ernie's, Martin's and West Wing are all newly, fully renovated, with new kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, and decks. In addition to partially shaded decks, Martin's and Ernie's also have beach areas to lounge in as you look over the beautiful waters and watch the boats cruise by. The sunrises, sunsets, and rising moons are spectacular. There is nice snorkeling right off the dock, or just stand and watch the fish and eagle rays swim by. We've been known to swim straight out from the dock to grab a lobster and a couple of conchs for dinner.
