Awesome host and stay

We loved our stay at Susan’s home. She was extremely helpful and welcoming to our family of 4 and our pug. The home is in a safe neighborhood with nearby parks and close to the beach. We would highly recommend this home to other families visiting HB!

Perfect Place for Long Term Stays

I had such a wonderful stay!! Such a perfect place for long term stays. The apartment is beautiful and clean and well stocked. The host is very responsive and helpful. I’ll definitely be staying here if I’m ever in the area again.

Loved staying at the Huntington Beach Hideaway! Some of the things we lived: Full kitchen to cook, everything was super clean & looked brand new, comfortable, washer/dryer were quiet, shower had great water pressure, running the AC helped in hot days, and front porch was great to store bikes on & hang out. The loft was large enough for both our older boys to sleep in when they were in town, but not tall enough for anyone to stand up in. Susan was super friendly & we loved staying at her place. Highly recommended A

Wonderful cottage in HB

The space is amazing. Beautifully modern and very comfortable. Thoughtfully appointed and clean. Location is great for shopping and dining. My dog and I loved being only 3 miles from the doggie beach. The neighborhood is wonderful to walk with a park close by. Susan has gone above and beyond in anticipating guests needs. She provides many extra amenities for her guests. She is a great communicator and very welcoming. The yard is perfect for pups as you can just let them out the door to do their business. Can’t recommend this place enough. If it’s available I wouldn’t hesitate to book it.

Super clean with tons of supplies

This was a super nice modern stay day that had an enclosed garden. I stayed here with my two kids and dogs for over two months. It was great to arrive after a long trip and literally have everything I needed including olive oil salt all the necessities even sunscreen. Susan supplied so much in cleaning and household items it gave me tons of time to relax and not worry about heading straight to the stores. The loft was a favorite for the kids and there are three smart TVs. Everything was high end quality from the Samsung fridge to the bathroom fixtures. Everything was super clean as well. The neighborhood is a cul de sac that is centers around an elementary school. Super super safe area because no thru traffic. Packages left would be untouched and neighbors very friendly. I would say it’s about a 5 minute drive to the beach and 5 minutes to whole foods.

Awesome experience

What a wonderful stay! We loved it. Susan did an amazing job on the design of the space and put in high end finishes. It’s is very tastefully done. The location is great and quiet. Very nice neighborhood. Easy bike ride to the beach, restaurants, downtown Huntington Beach, etc. Susan is a wonderful person and makes you feel right at home. She also has a published a book about great local eateries and attractions- to help guide the guests! We already have booked our next stay!!

At the tender age of 13, life brought an unexpected gift to a young dreamer like me. Moving to Huntington Beach, I quickly found a sense of belonging among the close-knit community of friends in a picturesque neighborhood. As the waves of the Pacific kissed the shores, I made a solemn promise to one day own a house in this beloved neighborhood, a place that I know as home.

Years rolled by, and I embarked on a journey filled with ambition and determination. Starting work at a young age, I juggled responsibilities while pursuing a college education. The journey took me across the vast landscapes of CA, each move bringing new experiences and opportunities. Along the way, I found love, got married, and welcomed two beautiful children into the world.

Life's twists and turns eventually led my family to Arizona, a place we initially thought would be our forever home. But fate had other plans. The call of CA, with its familiar beaches and cherished memories, was too strong to resist. So with two young children in tow, we returned to the Golden State, seeking the comfort and warmth of family.

My home, nestled in the heart of HB, became a sanctuary filled with love, light, and happiness. Over the next 20 years, it witnessed the laughter of children, the warmth of family gatherings, and the quiet moments of reflection. My home is more than just a house; it is a testament to dreams realized and promises kept.

Now, I open the doors of this cherished abode to others, inviting you to experience the magic of HB. Each guest who enters feels the palpable joy and the sense of belonging that has been nurtured over decades. This home radiates the happiness of those who have lived here and the welcoming spirit of those who visit.

Why I Chose This Neighborhood – A Lifelong Dream

There’s truly no other place I’d rather live. Choosing this neighborhood was about more than just buying a house—it was about fulfilling a lifelong dream and giving my children something truly special. My Huntington Beach home offers the best of Southern California's active lifestyle—where you can surf at sunrise, ski by lunch, and end the day around a beach bonfire. Few places make that possible, thanks to our unique location near both the coast and local mountains.

In winter, you can hit the slopes at Big Bear, Snow Summit, or Mountain High—all within a couple hours—then return for a sunset walk or evening surf. Huntington Beach lives up to its name as Surf City USA, with waves for all levels and surf lessons readily available.

Prefer land activities? You'll find world-class beach volleyball courts, miles of scenic coastal bike paths, and plenty of tennis courts, basketball courts, and soccer fields across the city. Skate parks, hiking trails, and golf courses (including some with ocean views) are also close by.
