Welcome to River Club The Gorge - a perfect blend of relaxation, and entertainment. Whether you are soaking in the secluded hot tub or watching a movie under the stars with the fire pit nearby, every corner of the property is designed to wow. The home sits on a rare 1.4 acre lot with river views, is right outside downtown The Dalles and is a short 20min drive to Hood River. Be as secluded and private as you prefer or enjoy the close proximity to local favorites.
The space

CENTRAL LOCATION:
* 5 min to downtown The Dalles
* 20 min to Hood River
* 1 hr to Mt Hood

We're minutes to the marina, so bring the boat and park in one of the long driveways.

4 bedrooms (5 beds) with brand new memory foam mattresses, 2 bathrooms, a dedicated office, 2 living rooms, and a game room. Our 1960s home has been recently renovated with all the mid-century modern luxuries.

Dogs are welcome! Limit 2 dogs unless discussed in advance. Please include your pet when booking a reservation. There is a $100 fee per dog.

We enjoyed our stay! The host was very responsive to questions. We appreciated that the home was well equipped for cooking family meals. It also provided entertainment (games, ping pong, darts, hot tub) that kept the 7 of us busy. Great home for the value!

We really enjoyed our stay at the River Club Property. We appreciated the cleanliness and ease of check in. It is super pet friendly with an area for dogs to roam.

Highly recommend! We loved all the fun activities included - ping pong, darts, bags, a Pac-Man gaming system, a hot tub and a fire pit. The location is great as well. The town has a lot of great spots and is close to hiking, kayaking and other fun outdoor activities. Michelle is also great - we left some airpods and she was nice enough to mail them back to us. Again - highly recommend!

Close to everything with accommodating host

We had a family emergency that required us to be in town for a week. Everything we needed—fully equipped kitchen, fully equipped TV, fully equipped bedrooms and bathrooms. Plus it is located close to shopping, downtown, and other neighborhoods.

Just what we needed

We had a great time staying here for a quick girls getaway. There was plenty of room for all of us and it was clean and comfortable. Michelle was easy to get a hold of if we needed anything and was so kind. We would absolutely stay here again.

House on a hill

Very easy to book & communication with host was excellent. My only recommendation would be more towel rods or hooks, more hangers & some sort of table, small dresser or shelves in bedrooms, otherwise all terrific. Many thanks for a lovely stay. I really enjoyed watching the deer in the yard.

Great house, even better communication

We had such a fun time at this house. We had three families, so we loved that all the kids could take over the downstairs while we enjoyed adult time on the upstairs deck. Great views of the river and the kids loved getting daily visits from local deer. Michelle was an amazing host, very responsive and even discounted our pet fee when we decided to leave the pup at home. No complaints, the "Wish you were here" sign is a great back drop for group photos!

We're definitely coming back

Amazing stay! The home accommodated my large family of 10 for a wedding weekend. Beautiful views of the surrounding city and Columbia River We look several photos all dressed up in front of the neon sign they have on the deck. It's perfect for pictures! The different living area made it easy to have the adults upstairs and kids downstairs in their own space. Bed were incredibly comfortable. I need to find out where the mattress and sheets are from because it was the most restful sleep I've ever had at a VRBO! Michelle went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. HIGHLY recommended - Stop thinking and book this place!

Wish we were staying longer...

We absolutely loved this home and especially the view across the city and river. We also enjoyed the deer that would frequent the yard in the mornings and evening. The layout is great and we instantly felt right at home and comfortable in the house. There are 5 beds and they are all temperpedic mattresses. I wasn't sure how I was going to sleep on them as they felt a bit firm at first when you sat on them, but I had some of the best sleep I have had in a good while. I think I'll be investing on one of those beds. Michelle is fantastic and a great VRBO host. Don't think twice about choosing this home- it is everything it says on the listing and more- a truly wonderful experience- I only wish we had more time to stay and enjoy it more. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

Good place add a touch more for 5 stars

First communication was great with the Owner. The outside grounds need some work and it is underwhelming when you drive up. Inside the upstairs layout is great, as well as the deck. Downstairs is good but a little disjointed as 1 bedroom has to be accessed thru the bathroom or another room. Still however it works out fine. The Kitchen is great and very modern. We loved it. It does lack some Kitchen normal items that would be great to have on hand like a pizza cutter and other things like that. Unit needs more towels like another half dozen bath towels and hand towels for sure if designed for 10 people. Most cabinets throughout the place are empty which is okay but better if some things were there. Master bedroom has no dresser so really no where to set your luggage up and pull from as you stay. Even a folding stand in the closets would help for things like that. Don't want this to sound to negative for we would stay there again in a heartbeat. Just providing some feedback to the Owner to help make the next guest completely awesome. Thanks
