We liked being on the river side as well. Jekyll Realty was professional and courteous throughout the entire process. We enjoy adventuring to new areas and this place did not dissapoint. Another wonderful week on Jekyll Island. The peace and beauty of the island is unmatched. Our house was so comfortable and gave us the perfect place to relax and rest between our adventures in nature. We love this place and can't wait to come back!

Reviewer Comments: This property is very outdated, dishwasher has rusted trays, the outdoor grill area is a mess, you can't seem to control the AC its freezing in master bedroom but in living area its warm, doors and woodwork very dirty. No directions on how any of the TV work. Sorry but won't be back to this property they want big price for a outdated property.

The kitchen could use some nicer pots to cook with. The only problem we experienced was a leak around the toilet. We reported it but it was not fixed while we were there.

Usually come in the summer and get a place on the beachside but enjoyed the change of scenery. Very spacious and for the most part well maintained. Drainage on the kitchen/laundry side of the house was a problem that hopefully is being adressed. Also thought the kitchen could have been a little better equipped ( pots, pans, etc). Outside cooking area was nice and the ability to utilize the garage was definitely a plus.

house was nice. Quite neighborhood lots of shade trees close to everything plenty of dishes. glasses. silver ware could have a few more pots & pans. gas and charcoal grill were unusable if you are going to grill bring your own.

A Lovely House in a Lovely Neighborhood

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I spent 5 weeks at Lilly's Pad in February and early March and had a wonderful time, both on my own and with guests. The neighborhood is quiet and pleasant, and I particularly appreciated the easy access to the maritime forest and its informal trails just off the back yard. The flowering trees and shrubs were beautiful at this time of year, and the weather was great. Privacy between back yards was excellent. There were even orange and kumquat trees producing a bit of fruit in the back yard. My guests and I especially enjoyed riding our rented bikes around the island to the beaches, playing tennis, visiting the historic district, and hiking the woodland trails.The best feature of the house is the generous proportions of the living spaces. The three separate seating areas, two of them with large dining tables, allow people to spread out and enjoy multiple activities and conversations. The eat-in kitchen is also spacious, and the master suite is very generous and well appointed. There are abundant storage shelves and cabinets, most of which are empty. The house is not as well-equipped as the one I rented before, either in terms of kitchen supplies and equipment or books, games, and movies, so bring some of your own if you come and plan to leave a few behind. There was a particular lack of things to do for children. This house is relatively new to the rental portfolio, and I hope and expect that it will become better equipped as time goes by. Jekyll Realty was quick and effective is addressing any problems that arose. The house was clean, and the furnishings and equipment are new or near-new, and of good quality. I would certainly recommend this property to friends and relatives, particularly those who care more about the overall island experience than about proximity to the beach.
