Beautiful Private Island Getaway-Boat Rental Available!

Get away from it all at your own private island on Lake Vermilion! This rustic but charming cabin with lofted bed features a beautiful lakefront deck and fire pit, all tucked away in Minnesota's Northwoods. Also included is a separate bunkhouse with queen size bed with lake view out of every window! The main cabin has hot water for dishes and showers along with a well maintained outhouse. Close to public access and marina is only minutes away! Great central location on beautiful Lake Vermilion!

This beautiful log cabin encompasses all someone could wish for in a romantic getaway for two or a vacation for a small family to get away from all the distractions of everyday life. Wild blueberry plants cover the island and provide a nice bonus for some blueberry pancakes enjoyed on the lakefront picnic table (when in season!) A bag of locally roasted coffee is also included to make that first cup of coffee on the beautiful deck all that much better. Great fishing exists in any direction you go from the cabin including off the shoreline around the cabin. Walleyes and bass are plentiful and there is always the chance of hooking into a trophy musky! ***New for 2024 Starlink Internet!***

We had another wonderful stay at this lake cabin! The place was exceptionally clean and had everything we needed — from kitchen essentials to cozy linens. The views of the lake were absolutely beautiful and made for such a peaceful, relaxing getaway. Check-in was smooth and hassle-free, which we really appreciated. Would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a comfortable and scenic escape!

Island on vermillion

Exactly as described. The hosts are great at communicating. My son loved fishing and catching cray fish off dock and the sunsets were amazing . Would stay here again.

Property was beautiful. And super clean!! Our Hosts Alyssa and Mike were awesome. They helped us navigate the lake with some beach locations and places to eat. The cabin had everything we needed for a week long stay. Fresh water, soaps, towels, and cooking utensils. Everything minus food. Quick to respond and amazing people to talk yoo.

Amazing-Little slice of heaven.

The property is absolutely gorgeous. It's a little slice of heaven, super private with amazing views. We had good luck fishing walleye. Property managers/caretakers were amazing to work with and easy to communicate with. Thank you so much for the amazing stay.

A very cute little island for a private getaway yet close to amenities. Very picturesque the main cabin is well set up and the guest cabin is very cute.

The cabin is on an island with no other occupants, therefore, privacy. The cabin is a real log cabin and fitted together nicely, so no breezy drafts and nice windows. It was clean and well maintained with stove, refrigerator, running water, dishes and pots & pans. There was not good TV reception, but we weren't there to watch TV. The toilet was an outdoor jiffy; not a problem for me, but not a real plus for my wife. The host and hostess were very friendly and helpful.

Relaxation

Our stay was most relaxing. Place was super clean and had all the amenities you could ever need. Cool nights warm days made for the perfect stay. Enjoyed rocking chairs overlooking the lake. Bon fire in the evenings was just perfect.

Perfect Cabin, Perfect Location

We did not know what to expect staying on an island, but it was amazing and we would come back in a heartbeat. They had everything set up and it is just a short ride from the main land. The views are amazing from all sides of the cabin. The hosts were beyond nice we had a wonderful time.

Vermillion Private Island

The property was awesome with outstanding views. The hosts Michael and Alyssa were very welcoming meeting us at the property explaining how everything worked. Also provided us with great tips on the lake and restaurants in the area. The cabin was very comfortable and well stocked with basic supplies. We loved the privacy of the island, the views, the firepit, nice grill, hot shower, and wild blue berries. We plan to book again summer of 2023.
