Mid Century Modern A-Frame Cabin at Northstar
A cozy Tahoe A-frame nestled in the heart of the majestic Northstar California Resort in Truckee, CA. This beautiful 1973 vintage A-Frame cabin was recently renovated to bring you the perfect place to call home for your North Lake Tahoe mountain getaway!
Please read our house rules and cancellation policy before booking. If you would like protect your trip for covered reasons outside of Airbnbâs policies, we recommend external trip insurance.
Youâll have the entire A-Frame cabin to yourself (1,712 square feet) including five sleeping areas (four bedrooms and one loft), two full bathrooms, kitchen, dining, and living spaces. Incredible outdoor space as well with gas bbq, picnic table, benches, and hot tub!
All parts of the house and cabinâs hot tub. There a couple of locked storage closets in the home that are not accessible for guests. There`s also lots of shared community amenities such as rec center pools, hot tubs, gym, etc. Please note there is a daily fee for rec center use charged by the rec center.
Youâll have your privacy and we are available to you for questions or concerns via text, phone or email. We offer contact less check in/out, with key code entry. We have a very comprehensive âhouse bookâ with how to operate various things in the house, local restaurants, bars, beaches, ski resorts, etc. We also have a local property manager if needed.

- 15 minute drive to Lake Tahoe / Kings Beach
- 15 minute drive to downtown Truckee, CA
- 25 minute drive to Tahoe City
- 30 minute drive to Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, or Diamond Peak ski resorts
There is a Northstar resort shuttle service that will pick you up directly from the cabin and take you to The Village, Rec Center, or Martis Valley Grille.
SECURITY CAMERAS:
We have 24/7 video/audio security cameras on the exterior of property. They are located on the front stairs/entryway, and back deck. These are security cameras focused on the entryways and designed to maintain your privacy while enjoying our home.
GUESTS: Only the guests on the confirmed Airbnb reservation are allowed on the property / in the cabin. Extra guests must be approved by owners in advance of the reservation and are subject to additional fees.
PET POLICY:
We are pet friendly for one well behaved dog with prior approval before your reservation. We ask that the dog not be left alone in the home for an extended period of time, kept off the furniture and beds, and that you bring your own dog bedding, and pick up after them outside. Cats are not permitted.
PARKING: There is driveway parking for 4 vehicles. Street parking is prohibited per county ordinances. Please note that per our HOA, only passenger vehicles are allowed (no RVs/oversized vehicles).
CLEANING FEE: The cleaning fee covers normal turnover cleaning (e.g. bedding and laundry turn over, surfaces, floors, snow removal, etc.). Additional cleaning fees may be incurred for excessive mess (e.g. excessive dishes, pet hair on the furniture/beds, etc)
PHOTO / VIDEO SHOOTS: Our home is not to be used for photo / video shoots without approval by owners in advance of the reservation and are subject to additional fees.
RVs:
Please note our HOA does not allow RVs to be parked in the driveway/street for longer than unloading/loading.
WINTER SNOW SEASON: During the winter snow season Lake Tahoe can see a very large snow accumulation. Outdoor deck furniture is removed in advance of winter season to avoid damage. 4 wheel drive vehicles are highly recommended. We have a driveway plow service that comes every snowfall (of 6 inches or more) to clear the driveway, and a shoveling service to clear the stairs and pathway. Please note that snowfall can continue to accumulate between shoveling service and your arrival. We also provide shovels and de-icing salt for your use if necessary. If heavy snowfall happens during your stay and additional shoveling help is necessary, please give us a call and we may be able to arrange some assistance for an extra fee. Please be patient as the snow removal services work to clear both county roads and driveways. There is no street parking allowed during the winter and please keep an eye out for the driveway plow to move vehicles to allow for full driveway clearing. As always, let us know your needs and we will work to make your stay wonderful! Thank you!
We are not responsible for Lake Tahoe weather changes / delays leading up to and during your reservation. In the event of a storm, our cancellation policy stands.
Please treat our home with care and respect as if it were your own. During your stay please take extra care to not leave food out overnight or unnecessarily. Please take out any trash in supplied trash bags and place outside in the locked âbear boxâ trash bin.
Check out is at 10am and our cleaning crew arrives promptly due to same day reservations. Please leave used towels on the floor in bathrooms. Please wash all dishes, or load dishwasher and start the cycle. Please place any trash securely in the locked bear box out front. No need to make beds, the cleaning crew washes everything. Please turn the heating down, lights off, and make sure doors are locked.
