Birthday/Anniversary Weekend

We had a lovely weekend at the Creekside cabin! If you're looking for a quiet place to get away and unwind, this is your spot. My wife and I hope to return with our kids in the warmer months.

Not a Secure Property

While the property is beautiful, and the house is very nicely decorated and equipped there were a few things the property managers failed to mention in the listing and other communications after booking. Most importantly, there was no mention that the sliding glass door on the side of the house is not secure. It doesn't lock and the piece of wood trim that they are currently using as their "lock" isn't long enough to keep the door from opening and jam the door. That's a huge deal as far as safety is concerned and should have been communicated. The closest neighbor was having target practice on Saturday afternoon with his shot gun for a good twenty minutes. He was 100 feet from the property if we were lucky. It was unsettling. There was also no mention of a massive ant problem that they have in the kitchen. The counters were covered in ants. The bathroom and kitchen cleanliness let a lot to be desired. When we arrived the sink was dirty, and the bathroom doesn't live up to what the rest of the house looks like. What was supposed to be a relaxing girls trip left most of us anxious. The property manager has been made aware of the above issue and had a very dismissive reply -- "Thank you for letting me know your concerns. I will address these issues. I’m sorry your experience wasn’t what you expected. We do truly try to give our guest a good experience." I would use caution when thinking about renting this property.

Beautiful location!

Location was perfect! So peaceful sitting on the deck beside the creek. The house was clean, the beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had everything that we needed to make some meals there but also enjoyed some of the local restaurants. Would highly recommend this home!

Wonderful fall weekend!

The location was great for day trips around Lancaster and the scenery so peaceful and pretty. We loved our stay! The property owners were very helpful and responsive. We would definitely recommend this place to others!

The house was very clean and well equipped, and the location can't be beat. The hosts were great to deal with as well. We're already talking about a return visit to this place!

Beautiful, Peaceful Getaway

Tom and Amanda's place is a slice of heaven! I had been planning a trip for my partner and our best friends for some time now, but couldn't find a place that really spoke to me. After searching for places over 3 hours away without luck, I decided to look for something a little closer to home. I am glad I did! I was first impressed with the pictures of the home and was excited to see it was surrounded by nature and right in front of a babbling brook. But as much as I fell in love with the pictures, they do not compare to the feeling you get when you actually enter the premises! The pictures are completely accurate: the house was spotless, the appliances were new, and the furnishings were comfortable. The rooms were spacious, the beds were amazingly comfortable, the property and deck were well maintained. For me, I could have just stayed on the deck under the moonlight the entire time. The sound of the brook was mesmerizing and every morning I would drink my coffee and just gaze at the beauty I was part of. Of course, inside was beautiful, too ... so when we needed to be inside, we had a huge TV to watch our favorite shows on. There is plenty of streaming options and the WIFI connection was really strong. Once you leave the property, there's a couple of miles where the cell strength is weak, but that's completely expected for the location. However, once on the property, the signals are excellent. The hospitality was above and beyond what we are used to. When we arrived, we were greeted with fresh, homegrown grape and cherry tomatoes, and hand made Shoofly pie. We home's manual had everything we could want to make our stay comfortable and the instructions were clear. We just fell in love with this place and hope we can come back next year!
