Come hideaway in our country retreat in the middle of 14 acres of wooded peacefulness. Enjoy wildlife from a window or from one of two decks while you are still located close to tourist attractions like Strasburg Railroad and minutes from the oldest, continuing farmers' market, Central Market and numerous hiking trails at state parks or conservancies.
Our family has lived here for over twenty years and we would love to share it with visitors. Whether you're a history buff, a adventurer, a shopper, or you're just looking for a little time to rest and restore yourself, our slice of nature is the perfect place to relax. Hot tub is open year-round for your relaxation.

Note: there is a doorbell camera at the front door.

We had an absolutely delightful stay! Everything was perfect and as described. We particularly enjoyed the large windows overlooking the property that allowed us to see the dozen or so deer that visited daily. The property was quiet, the beds were extremely comfortable, and we could not have been more relaxed while staying here!

It was more than we expected.It was greatly stocked. We did have to contact host for an item and we got it swiftly. I wish they had screens on windows downstairs. I like that they had night lights.The hot tub. What can I say. It was great after an 8 drive.

The weekend retreat to the Lancaster area was absolutely amazing! The rental property is a fantastic place to stay: very clean and comfortable. A really relaxed environment including the neighbors: deer and birds in the yard throughout the weekend. :)

Best equipped kitchen in all my years of booking on VRBO. Beautifully appointed. Easy operation of all technology. Just a gorgeous home. Folks not as steady on their feet should be mindful of the steepness of the path up to the trail and I recommend actual hiking boots/shoes over sneakers! And watch the bottom of the drive turning right onto Pennsy Rd. Bottomed out a bit.

We had the most amazing stay at Pennsy Ridge Hideaway. The house is incredibly spacious, beautifully decorated, and pristine. The kitchen was well-supplied, so much so that we were able to make a delicious Christmas dinner. The hot tub was a bonus, and the sunrises and sunsets were just gorgeous!

Great property! The host really makes sure that you have everything! The house is spacious and has a great view. Did not love the giant scary mountain driveway but it was fine. Maybe a mirror on the tree across from the turnout could help better see around the curve. Hot tub was lovely and the view of the stars was fantastic. Great weekend getaway with our friends.

We are Angie and Brant. We both grew up in Lancaster County and bought this property soon after getting married. We have lived here for over 25 years. We have put a lot of time into making it our own and continue to enjoy making improvements. We have always taken solace in the outdoors which is what drew us to make it our home. We share this with our daughter and Newfoundland dogs.
