The peaceful setting and comfortable lodging make it perfect for anything from a family vacation, work retreat, or self-guided hunting excursion. Easy walking access to Brush Creek Forest along with a short drive to canoe access points, other state park hiking trails, Amish country, a local private zoo, freshwater jellyfish, and more….

Very clean place and so much space, if you like outdoor space and outdoor cooking, this place is for you. Host was very prompt on all inquires. We were a group of 17 ladies and had plenty of space to sleep, shower, and HAVE FUN!!!

We had a wonderful time my mother's 92 and there was seven of us kids are still alive and some spouses with us it was a fun time lots of food nice area nice bonfires we deep fryer down there we shot and played pool it was just a good time to relax and enjoy each other

This has been an outstanding property for our annual family vacation! Beautiful setting, spacious house with lots of extras, outdoor kitchen/patio. The owners are very responsive and thoughtful! This was our second stay, and we will be back next year.

This home is awesome! Definitely set up for large groups. We had 21 and had plenty of room for everyone. Kids loved the treehouse and game room. Kitchen is large and well stocked. Two refrigerators were nice. Don’t bother to bring spices, shampoo or hand soap - it’s all there. Must be more than 30 spices. If your group wants to hang out, this is the place.

Secluded Retreat

This very quiet and peaceful country house was very well supplied w/all necessary products to make a pleasurable stay. The canoe, paddle boat and basketball hoop made for great outdoor recreation. Toys were also nice in keeping our young ones occupied. Quite outstanding and highly recommend for a large group gathering.

Relaxing Ohio get away

My yearly extended family get together was very enjoyable at this beautiful property. The swimming pond was most appreciated in the summer heat and the water temp was perfect, not too warm nor cold. The kitchen is well stocked, the outdoor bar / grill with direct TV and fire pit was a great gathering spot. The location is a little remote, but still an easy drive to Serpent Mound, hiking, breweries, wineries, Portsmouth Murals, and the world's largest horseshoe crab in Hillsboro!
