This beautifully renovated home completed in 2025 has breathtaking views of Bald Head's south beach from the living room, great room, and master bedroom. The wrap around porch space is perfect for your morning coffee or afternoon beverages. What better way to make the best memories on your family vacation with the beautiful view of the sunsets. This home offers a professionally decorated style best suited for a beach home. The gourmet kitchen is a cook's dream with a fully stocked kitchen, granite countertops and stainless-steel appliances. The home has five full bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms with enough sleeping space for 13. This home comes with access to the BHI Club and Shoals Membership for separate purchase. 2 golf carts that were recently purchased in 2019. We can't wait for you to come “sea” us!

We loved our stay at To the Moon and Back! The house was recently updated, clean and fully stocked with all the amenities. The proximity to the beach and BHI Club was fantastic. We were sad to leave and hope to be back soon!

Best place to stay in Bald Head!

Beautiful home, right across from the beach, great location (close to BHI Club, stores, restaurants, etc!) We had the best time!!

This home is excellent! The location is great. The layout of the house is perfect. The number and size of bedrooms and bathrooms is awesome. The kitchen and living space is just right. The entire home has been renovated and is well done. Check in and check out were easy. We didn't need to contact property management for anything during our stay, but they did check in with us which was nice. The only downfalls we noted were the beach chairs were very old rusty and in poor shape. Some nice new chairs would be

Great house, as described

Just got home from our trip - house is just as pictured online. Perfect location. Near the beach and BHI club. Property manager was great - checking in on us after our arrival. Only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is the layout: 3 bedrooms and the main living area share one bath with the other two on the other side of the house. A small gripe, but with thin walls it is best suited for one family rather than two.

GREAT GREAT Home and Service~~~

TO THE MOON AND BACK is a wonderful property. The home is clean, bright, welcoming, updated, and has a great location. The property manager is attentive and very responsive to any questions or needs from the initial reservation, to preparation, to departure. The golf carts are high quality and new. Amazing sunsets. I will be back for sure!!! Thank you!

Mother’s Day stay

Beautiful renovated property . Peaceful setting and close to the beach, just a quick golf cart ride away. Good location to use the new aquatic center which will be really great when it opens. I recommend buying the BHI memberships especially if you have children. A very nice playground too. If the view of the ocean had been a bit better it would have been 5 stars. However sitting on the porch only sand dunes were visible. Property manager was very responsive and that was especially helpful when we had questions.

Surprise birthday celebration

We surprised our son for his 40th birthday. People flew in from Seattle, Rhode Island and Paris. My Daughter-in-law planned the ferry and food. The house was perfect for everyone. The 4 kids enjoyed the bunk bed room. 2 brothers (sons #2 and 3) had their own queen sized beds, Dave and his wife and 5 week old baby had a bedroom near the other kids, and my husband and I had a lovely bedroom with its own bathroom. It was great to have 3 bathrooms. The porch was wonderful. There were great places to chat and play. We played a lot of games. We look forward to coming back again!

Rough Start

Despite a rough start arriving to a property that hadn't been cleaned, the vacation turned out to be wonderful. Edie the property manager was very responsive and we were compensated for the condition of the home. All concerns were handled professionally and our vacation turned out to be wonderful. Luv Bald Head Island. The owners did a nice job with the upscale remodel and my family luved the new golf carts and the other amenities provided. We found my dad rocking on the porch every morning enjoying the breeze. Just bring some clothing and food and the rest is provided. We are planning to rent the same house again next year....hopefully it will be clean when we arrive.

Perfect girls weekend

We stayed at this property for a girl’s weekend. We were supposed to stay there last September but Hurricane Florence hit and we had to postpone our trip. Edie, the property manager was awesome in working with us to find an alternative date. Pretty much everything in the house is brand new, towels, linens, golf carts etc. There was no iron when we got there but Edie brought one over the same day. There is a beautiful ocean facing deck with rocking chairs. You can see a little bit of the ocean over the dunes and the view is pretty much unobstructed even though it is not ocean front - perfect to sit out there in the morning. The only thing about the house that was not ideal is the location of the bathrooms. The only bathroom attached to a bedroom is the master. One of the bathrooms is in the hallway by the other three bedrooms but the third one is on the other side of the house - not perfect. The house overall is beautiful, clean and a perfect place for a getaway. I would definitely stay there again.

Perfect vacation!

We had 3 generations of family staying the week. To the moon and back was perfect for us....all on one floor, perfectly appointed, fantastic supplies in kitchen and through out. The golf cars were great. The location to the beach was perfect. We had a wonderful time!!! Plenty of room for us all to eat together, relax together and also to spread out and do our own things. Edie and Katie were in touch with us throughout the week. Thank you for a lovely home to be with family- first family vacation in 3 years!

4th of July at BHI

Nicely furnished property with proximity to beach. Central location made it easy to get to the grocery store and other attractions. The 4th of July week is their busiest time of the season so you can expect facilities to be busy. Edie and Katie were very helpful and responsive to email. The two golf carts are well maintained and worked well for us. We have been to BHI before and will return again sometime soon. Everyone had a good time.

A Great Time



.was had by all! We found the property to be just as presented in the VRBO description. The check in was easy. The property was clean and in good order. The response to questions, from the property managers was promote and their welcoming text was appreciated. The position of the house yielded wonderful breezes on the porch! My only suggestion would be to make sure the renters know they need to bring extra toilet paper and paper towels. There was a “starter” amount but that did not last very long with a full house. Another suggestion would be to have better instructions on the operation of the thermostat. But in case you are wondering 
yes, we would stay here again!

Relaxing stay on Beautiful Bald Head Island

We had a wonderful time on Bald Head Island and loved this house. We loved the layout of the house, spent a lot of time on the wrap around deck either drinking g coffee in the morning or playing games in the evening. We stayed home and cooked dinner one night and the kitchen had all the amenities that anyone would need. It was really nice to have two golf carts so we could split up sometimes. The house was very clean and property managers were extremely easy to work with and always answered me almost immediately. We definitely recommend To the Moon and Back!

Amazing stay by the beach

House was beautiful and appointed with everything you need. It’s a two minute walk to beach. Beautiful porch for watching sunsets. The property managers are super friendly and very easy to get in touch with. It was the perfect place for our family and another family (total of 9 guests). I highly recommend.l staying here!

The title says it all. We enjoyed spending spending a Mothers Day celebration as a family on Bald Head Island, it was everything it was supposed to be. We enjoyed the family for the weekend and then a relaxing time by ourselves. For the rest of the week. The communication with you was great on unforeseen issues. Was a good week.

Heavenly Spring Break

This house was the perfect home away from home for our Spring Break trip. The property manager was very quick to respond to questions during our stay, and made check-in / check-out a breeze. The location was perfect, only one block away from South Beach. Access to both golf carts, bikes, and beach equipment at the house made our stay very easy. The house was beautiful and very clean. All the guests during our stay raved about the comfort of the beds! We would definitely stay again!

Loved our time at To the Moon and Back

Our family of 4 stayed at this house over spring break and loved it. We had more than enough room in this very clean house! Beds were comfortable. My favorite spot was the rocking chairs on the wrap around porch. I loved hearing the waves and enjoying the peace and quiet of BHI. The house was well stocked (kitchen had everything even though we ate out for all meals) and we loved having the keurig for our morning coffee. The golf carts were great! We used the BH club membership for tennis, pool and dining. Make your pool and dining reservations early! The property managers were very helpful! They gave great reminders leading up to the trip and were helpful throughout! We would love to bring family or friends back to this house!

Great place for two families!

This four bedroom was the perfect fit for two families, including 3 Little kids and two teens. The property managers were wonderfully communicative, and helps supplies with some beach house after an initial mixup with the laundry/cleaning crew. Golf carts were in great shape and kitchen was well outfitted. Nice location with a great deck for relaxing when it was less windy.

Such a sweet spot in the world!

“To the Moon & Back” was lovely. The check-in/check-out process was easy and allowed us to enjoy our time and maximize our time on the island. Beach and market both easily accessible with two nice golf carts and plenty of toys for the beach and for crabbing. Would love to visit again. Thanks for a great time!

Beautiful Home

This house was perfect for 3 couples and small children. We loved the bunk bed room for the kids. The kitchen is spacious and bright we had plenty of room. The deck is lovely especially in the late evening and you can hear the waves crashing on the beach at night when sitting out in the rocking chairs. Golf carts are excellent too!!! This house is close to a beach access, the market & BHI club. I would highly recommend doing the BHI guest pass so you have access to the beautiful pools, especially with small children. We enjoyed the beach by the Shoals Club because there was a huge tidal pool all day perfect for the kids. Check in and Check out was a breeze To The Moon and Back is a wonderful rental.
