Tucked in the serenity of Whalehead Beach, “The Lucky Viking” is the perfect beach home for multifamily or multi generation family vacations of a lifetime.
The Lucky Viking has everything – a large cabana pool bar with dining area and mini-fridge, an elevator and wheelchair accessible master bedroom, a sky deck for ocean and sound views, recreation room with pool table, full fridge and Bluetooth stereo system, outdoor shower and a Viking ship play area for big and little kids together.

Sheets, comforters and bath towels provided. Please bring beach towels. Beds are not made, but can be made for an additional fee. Otherwise, cleans sheets are in bundle on beds.

Sky deck:
• On the top of the house is a sky deck for maximum views of the Atlantic Ocean, Currituck Sound, and the Currituck Beach Lighthouse.
The house is located near the Herring Beach Access in Whalehead Beach. The house has enough to do but if you do want to go to the beach, beach access is 475 yards and the beach is 0.3 miles on a trek deck walkway.

Had a great time. Huge house with terrific amenities. The elevator was a big help with my Mother in Law. Pool, hot tub all fantastic. We have rented many houses and this is by far the best one. Would rent again!

Great house and location everything was perfect other than only a few bikes were in working condition and we had to pull weeds and overgrown foliage to use the charcoal grill. Over all really enjoyed our stay!

Beach House Vacay

Check in was seamless. House was as described. Owner was responsive to a couple of items and took care of concerns quickly without impacting our enjoyment of the property. Pool area was great and cleaned during our stay. Highly recommend. A little far from the beach but the bikes were a nice feature. Overall, great place!

Great Stay in the Lucky Viking

We had ages ranging from 7 - 80 and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the house. The property was well appointed with an elevator that helped our older vacationers enjoy all three levels. The kitchen was well stocked with all necessary cooking utensils, and the outdoor grill as also very nice. We spent many hours each day in the lovely pool that was made even more enjoyable by the array of pool toys and floats that came with the house. Also, the outdoor cabana with a TV and dining table were a fun way to wind down in the evening. Finally, it was a very easy walk to the beach as the house was not very far to the Herring access. Overall, I would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a nice place to enjoy the Outer Banks.

The Lucky Viking Stay

We had an amazing stay at this OBX property! Our group of 10, ranging from kids to teens to adults, had more than enough space to relax and enjoy. The pool and tiki bar were absolute highlights—perfect for soaking up the sun and hanging out together. Amy was a fabulous host. She was incredibly responsive, helpful, and so pleasant to communicate with. Booking and coordinating with her was seamless from start to finish. Highly recommend this home for any family or multi-generational group looking for a fun and comfortable OBX getaway!

We enjoyed our stay . Easy to get to the beach. Interior of the home was very comfortable, plenty of room and areas for privacy. Convenient to get to the beach.none of the bikes were in working order, would have loved to be able to have used them. All and all relaxing , fun time.

This was definitely plenty of space for 13 adults and 2 children! The beds were more comfortable than your typical rental property and we had all our bathrooms working. The kitchen had plenty of utensils and pots and pans, though the only food present was some spices in the spice rack, so it’s important to plan on needing to bring things like your own food, toiletries, and toilet paper (or buy in town - grocery stores are nearby). We really enjoyed the walking path to the beach, it is a big improvement on walking on the street to the beach!

My dream Vacation

The house was beautiful. It's just as listed. The elevator was a blessing.We took Jeeps on the beach and saw lots of horses and babies nursing. I truly enjoyed my birthday! Thank you Amy Scott for all your help! I hope to come back! We had 12 total people from 1 to 74. Plenty of room!

Amazing Home!

The Lucky Viking was a wonderful choice on the Outer Banks for our group of friends to get together. A short walk to the beach, close to shops and restaurants. The home is amazing with a pool, outdoor bar, hot tube and almost every amenity you could ask for. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed every minute of our visit. Amy was a wonderful host and responded timely to every inquiry.

We loved our stay at the lucky viking, between the overall amenities provided and the proximity to the beach there was so much to do. Corolla was lovely and we will definitely be returning. The cleaning service could have done a better job cleaning under the beds and cleaning the dead bugs from the window sills, but other then that the property was very clean. Overall a great time had by all.

All the Ingredients for a Relaxing and Fun Vacation

House was spacious and well laid out. Beds were comfortable. Lots of great porch furniture in all the right places for catching the relaxing ocean breezes, reading and conversation. Owner was extremely easy to deal with and very responsive. Rules were not cumbersome. Walk to the beach took about 10 minutes - my 14 year old dog had no trouble with it!

Multi-generational group

Home was clean and the kitchen was well equipped for preparing meals. There was plenty of space inside and out for our big group to enjoy. The elevator was wonderful as a few individuals needed that accommodation. Amy was always responsive with answering questions and providing support. Overall it was a great week!

Great Family Get Away!

A lovely, spacious and up to date home! Large enough to afford each guest their own bedroom/bath and the upstairs area was perfect for game playing and conversation. Kitchen offered all amenities for food preparation and dining area was perfect for family meals. There were two wheelchair/walker family members that used the elevator to access each level. Huge Plus!!! I would definitely return!!!

Thanksgiving holiday

Loved the layout of the house. Plenty of room for all. The outdoor space was well used despite the weather. The kitchen was over stocked with pots pans and utensils . There was no space to store food.We didn't realize how far away the house was from the Nags Head area where we had planned most of our activities. Being with family was what was really important. The negatives are a non working TV in first floor bedroom, Bunkbeds meant only for small children, dirty plates and pans in the kitchen, no cleaning supplies, such as glass cleaner, dust brush to pick up dirt and sand, unstable stair treads going to upper most deck and moldy outdoor mats.
