Notre maison Little House on the Prairie est située sur la pittoresque fourche nord de Long Island, dans le paisible hameau d’Orient, où vivent des animaux sauvages comme le cerf, le faucon, la dinde et le lapin. Notre maison est située sur 3 acres de terrain avec 2 patios couverts, barbecue au gaz, meubles de jardin, climatisation centrale, lave-vaisselle, laveuse / sécheuse, câble. Netflix et Wifi. Moins de 1 mile de deux plages et la baie qui offrent des vues spectaculaires. Home est situé à 3, 5 miles d'Orient State Beach, une péninsule de 350 acres avec 10 miles de front de mer et du ferry Cross Sound vers Mohegan Sun, Foxwoods et Mystic Seaport, CT. À 8 km du village portuaire historique de Greenport, avec des magasins uniques, d'excellents restaurants, des glaciers, un musée, une salle de cinéma, une manège antique, le parcours de golf Island Ends et le ferry pour Shelter Island. Vignobles de la région ouvert toute l'année pour des visites et des dégustations. Fruits et légumes cultivés localement dans les fermes. Beau temps d'automne pour la cueillette de citrouilles et de pommes, les hayrides, le maïs rôti et les labyrinthes.

Great Weekend Retreat

The house was just perfect for the four of us. Huge property with deer walking on the grounds sets a beautiful atmosphere of nature. House itself fully stocked for everything you need. Great A/C. Washer dryer, fully stocked kitchen. Orient location close to everything. Will definitely return soon.

We had a wonderful stay at the farmhouse in Orient! Perfect location near the beach, farm stands, wineries and 5 minutes from Greenport. The house was just perfect and very comfortable. Highly recommend!

Beautiful home in Orient, NY

Home is a short drive to beaches, restaurants, markets. We loved the large backyard with all the wildlife going by and using the BBQ grill to have dinner outside. Perfect relaxing long weekend stay! Rosanne is a great host.

Perfect Weekend Stay for Wedding

Had an amazing time staying at this location with my family and our dog for a long weekend in September. We would definitely stay again next time we are out in the area. The house was exactly as described. We also enjoyed drinking our coffee while watching the deer grazing 100 feet away in the yard each morning.

An incredible oasis

We absolutely loved our five-day stay. The house was clean and had everything we could need. There is incredible biking just outside the house, which is near great beaches and restaurants. We also had so much fun just sitting on the back porch watching the extraordinary wildlife pass by. We hope to come again soon!

Cozy house in North Fork

House was clean and well setup for a summer trip to North Fork. Communication with host was a bit challenging however, resulting in some inconveniences during stay and misaligned expectations at check out.

Beautiful place. Beautiful spot. All around. It was the perfect place for a weekend with our pup. The bed was so comfortable and the kitchen was beautiful with everything we needed. What can I say? No doubt we’d come back any day!

A little bit of peace

I summered in Orient as a child and this stay was like going back in time. The bird life is wonderful, and deer and wild turkeys roamed the property in early dawn and at twilight. Nights were quiet and the days were peaceful, spent biking around the Orient hamlet, walking along Hallocks Pond and wondering the stone beaches. The house is sweet, clean, cozy with great hosts. Hope to return in the near future!

Perfect spot for a relaxing getaway

This home was so welcoming - clean, bright, thoughtfully appointed with everything needed to make you instantly feel at home. The setting is lovely - from morning coffee on the patio overlooking the field with deer or turkeys in the distance to being able to see the Milky Way in the dark expanse over the field at night. It is only a short drive to restaurants, beaches,vineyards and farm stands. The kitchen is well-equipped to prepare local seafood and produce if you decide to eat in. The owner was a pleasure to communicate with. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return one day.

Great North Fork Getaway

The house was a great fit for our family of four plus dog. It is set back from the road on a spacious property, which was often visited by deer. Inside, our favorite room was the kitchen because of the floor-to-ceiling windows and great view of the outdoors (including sunset). The living area was comfy for watching movies and reading. Upstairs, the three bedrooms were comfortable and nicely appointed. Quick access to Greenport and Orient Point. Would be happy to stay at this house again.

Leafy Green scene

Comfortable and welcoming spot in a neighborhood that is great for biking and walking! Lovely green view out the kitchen patio - but if you are very noise sensitive you should know that on the other side of the house nearby is Main Road and you can hear car traffic - as well as roosters next door so just set your expectations properly and enjoy!

Wonderful North Fork home

We (me, my wife, and our twin 3 year olds) just returned from Rosanne’s amazing North Fork home. The inside was beautiful, clean, and comfortable, but we ended up spending most of our time enjoying the property outside! The yard was huge - our boys loved exploring and running around, and we felt safe letting them do so. We enjoyed all meals in the well-appointed outdoor dining setup, and loved sitting by the fire table once it got dark. The location is incredibly serene, but convenient to everything North Fork has to offer. We have already discussed our next visit - this truly a gem of a home.

Quaint Getaway

Our family of 5 needed a long weekend away from the city. This was the perfect getaway. It's the cutest house with a beautiful open space, which is exactly what our kids needed to run around. Loved seeing deer and bunnies from the kitchen. The location of the house is close enough to Greenport or Orient Point Beach. The house size was perfect for us. It was well stocked (paper towels, K-cups, paper goods, enough pots/pans, etc.) Very convenient to have the grill outside and the fire pit is a nice touch. One thing that didn't work, but has nothing to do with the house or owner I think, is that the internet connection was poor. I had poor wireless connection on my phone and at night, we couldn't watch Netflix on the TV. Definitely recommend this place!!
