Our family enjoyed staying at this home with an old Victorian charm. Pictures are accurate. Host was kind to send new linens from Target upon our arrival.

Our family of 11 stayed at this beautiful house. The 7 bedrooms provided enough space for the grandkids to spread out while the large living room, dining room and kitchen was great for all of us to hang out together. It is a 10 minute walk to the beach and only a bit longer to Pier Village with lots for kids to do. Plenty of parking. The owner was extremely responsive and very good to deal with.

Tired Old Home that Needs Many Fixes and Updates

Many issues with the stay. -The house was still being cleaned by the staff when we showed up at check-in time of 5:00. We did not get into the house until 5:30pm. -The shower door in one of the master baths was broken off. The shower handle in the other master bath was unusable because it was falling off. A handyman was sent to fix these was able to do temp fixes that didn't work. The handyman showed up with no shirt, bare feet and very dirty. His dirty feet left stains on the bathroom floors which we had to clean up. The shower with the broken handle got a more permanent fix late on the second day but the handle fell of again so we had to do a temp fix ourselves.-The 3rd floor bathroom was not cleaned. Many human hairs around bathroom.-Coffee maker had old dirty grounds left in it.-Some of the bathroom and bedrooms doors are very difficult to close and very loud when you close them because there clearances are too tight. A little time and effort would fix these issues-Large dark stain on white comforter in one of the master bedrooms. -Broken kitchen counters-No dishwasher soap, had to buy our own-Hand soap in the kitchen and main level bathroom were empty-Mold around the interior shower base of one of the master baths. -Exhaust fan in main floor bath broken.-We verified everything in the checkout instructions were completed only to get a message from the owner after checkout that sheets needed to be taken off the bed. This was not in checkout instructions.

Perfect beach house for a family reunion.

We really enjoyed our stay at Beauty by the Sea, especially the well-appointed kitchen, sparkling clean bathrooms, comfortable living spaces and easy access to the beach. We hope to return for another visit one day.

Nice and spacious

We were in town for a wedding. About 13/14 of us stayed at the home. Was very spacious and you didn’t feel crowded, even with that many people. Host was very responsive when we had to call about a bee problem after the 1st night. She sent someone out right away. And when the bees were still getting in the house she sent someone the next day as well.

Lovely space for a large family or group

The house was perfect for our large family. It was spacious, had a lovely wrap around porch which we enjoyed sitting on and the beach & boardwalk was just a short walk away.

Great vacation

The property is perfect for a large group. We had family and friends for our daughter's wedding. The bedrooms are all a good size and well stocked with pillows and blankets. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances, dishes, cutlery and pots/pans. With a large group we cooked at home many times and found it very convenient with plenty of seating between the 2 tables for everyone. We had a couple of small maintenance issues which were addressed and taken care of in a timely manner. The shared living space is very accommodating with plenty of seating. The front porch was a big hang out as we had beautiful weather. There was plenty of seating and space. The fountain in the front yard was not working and had merky water which attracted bugs. The pump was laying on the ground next to it with a hole in the ground where it should be. We had to keep the small children out of the front yard as it posed danger, they can't help themselves from wanting to play in the merky water and of course fell into the hole. For an older house, the queen victorian look was well maintained and gave the house great character. The beach and boardwalk are a short walk with plenty of dining options making it a great vacation spot. The beach was clean, we found it was mostly families on the beach making it very peaceful. Overall, everyone had a great time! Franciso and Sam, the maintenance guys were very friendly and accommodating.

terrific family vacation

We had a lovely time at this spacious Victorian, and the owner, Mina, was great. We had five adults and our ten kids, aged 11 to 20, staying with us. The bedrooms were larger than we anticipated and we could have fit more guests. The house and kitchen were equipped with everything we needed, including quite a selection of spices despite an earlier review! Also, I searched but couldn't find any poison ivy per the same earlier review. The house and yard are well cared for, the bathrooms are nicely updated and the appliances (kitchen, washer/dryer) are mostly new and large capacity. The boardwalk and beach were an easy walk with a light and crosswalk to get across the road. The beach is very nice and not too crowded. We could walk to Pier Village with plenty of restaurants and shopping. Our group walked to get ice cream most nights, and the teenagers walked to bowling. There was plenty of parking and Long Branch itself is easily accessible from NYC -- we had some family members take the train to and from work. It was a wonderful time and I would highly recommend it.

Beautiful and clean house near beach

The house is spacious and clean with many original architectural details. All the bedrooms are clean, nicely decorated, large and airy as is the living room. The front porch was nice to sit on although the view is of condos. The beach is a short straight walk from the house. The kitchen is large, nice and updated but in need of several large pots, pans, bowls, storage containers for the size of the house. There were a few repair issues during the week we stayed but they were addressed quickly and with good communication. Overall a beautiful house and a nice place to stay near the beach for a large group.

Great location, beautiful house, but . . .

3 blocks from the boardwalk with an entrance to the beach another block away. The inside of the house was beautiful and comfortable. Some serious issues however. Outside, the fountain is not working and has turned into an ugly mess with standing water and a huge clump of algae. Lawn is poorly maintained with poison ivy. The kitchen was in good shape, but disorganized and missing essentials like dishwashing detergent, dishwasher detergent, sponges, storage bags, aluminum foil, cooking oils, and napkins. Manager was responsive and quickly delivered several items. Shortage of beach towels. No beach chairs or umbrellas.
