This cabin is cozy on the inside and out! Once you arrive, you will be drawn to the sound of the babbling creek in the back yard. Sit in the gazebo and let your cares drift away. There is also a bench swing and an outdoor fire pit with seating all around. Relax in the hot tub after a day exploring the beautiful Helen area. This cabin is pet-friendly, so don't leave home without the doggie!

Enter the cabin through the front door and feel right at home in the large living room and open dining room. Sit back on the brand new leather furniture and watch your favorite show or sport on the smart TV through the free YouTube TV subscription. During the cooler months, start a fire in the wood burning fireplace to set the perfect atmosphere in your cabin getaway.

The kitchen features a small breakfast counter, stove/oven, microwave and full size refrigerator. There's both a standard drip coffee maker and a Keurig for your convenience. Bring your coffee and condiments for a cup of joe just the way you like it. The washer and dryer are located in the laundry room just next to the dining area.

There is a king bedroom with private bath on each side of the living room. The bedrooms have a smart TV, too! Each bathroom has tub/shower combinations and a single vanity.

Out the kitchen door is a reading porch with rocking chairs and view of the woods. Beyond this little nook is the outdoor deck with a gas grill and table for four. The hot tub has been installed and is just waiting for your arrival!

This is a pet-friendly cabin and a one-time per-pet fee will be added if you bring your dog(s). The pet fees that will be added to your reservation are $75 + tax for the first and $50 + tax for each additional.

• Minimum Age Requirement: Settin' on the Creek is available to families or to guests 21 years or older.
• Parking: Space is available for 2 vehicles.
• Access: The road is dirt and gravel to the property. Road not suitable for low profile vehicles
• Pets: Pets are allowed at Settin' on the Creek.
• Location: 5 miles to downtown Helen.

Second times a charm......

Reviewer Comments: This was our second time coming to this cabin retreat away from home and we really enjoy staying here. The hot tub was amazing and everything pretty much worked as it should. The only complaint that we has was that using the items in the kitchen was hit or miss. One of the afternoons that we were there i had called the rental company asking for a can opener because we searched everywhere to no avail. The gentleman I spoke to said he’d have one brought out to us but it would be about 30 min. We waited and no one ever showed so we had to purchase one in town. That was kinda disappointing to say the least .

Everything was very clean, the bed was comfortable, plenty of towels, peaceful and woodsy property. The fireplace was perfect for our December stay. The hot tub was lovely!! For future guests to know- only pepper as far as seasonings, and no food storage containers, Saran Wrap, aluminum foil, or body wash so if you will need those things, make sure to bring your own.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin was perfect for 3 or four people. Nice layout with each king bedroom to opposite sides of the central living/dining area. The cabin is rustic but with all the modern conveniences.The area was kept natural and although there were about 20 cabins in the development they were well spread out. The cell phone signal was weak but excellent wifi for Internet and wifi calling. The interior streets are narrow and mostly gravel that just adds to the secluded feeling yet it's just a few minutes away from downtown Helen. As for Georgia Mountain Rentals, we did encounter a little cleaning mix-up but their response when called quickly made everything more than right. Sometimes things slip through the cracks and the test is the response. In this instance GMR earned an A+.

We had a wonderful stay! It was very peaceful, playing out in the creek or sitting in the gazebo. It wasn’t too far away from Helen, so we could go out and about easily. The outside could definitely use a good pressure washing every once in a while. That was my only issue since the gazebo and chairs were kinda dirty to sit on. The kitchen was well stocked with plates, utensils, etc. We had plenty of towels to use during the stay. The couches weren’t all that comfortable, but nothing a pillow couldn’t solve. Overall, it was a great experience!

We loved the area / property! It was as described and very comfortable. Hellen was an enjoyable area to visit! The weather was marvelious. We had no trouble following the arrival suggestions. The only negatives were the condition of the 1) access road, which would be troublesome during wet weather and 2) the house floor needed to be mopped.We really enjoyed the house and will return!

Easter getaway

After driving through downtown Helen GA for many years we finally decided to make a weekend out of it. The cabin was clean and perfectly located within a short distance of downtown Helen. There is an outdoor gazebo that is situated over a small creek that offers a perfect backdrop for a nighttime fire. Checking in with the management company was quick and easy. Their continued follow up throughput our stay was very convenient. If you have never stayed in the area, I recommend reading the local paper the cabin provided at check in.

Great Getaway

Cabin was exactly as shown. Super clean. Relaxing location yet within short driving distance to the town of Helen and many other places. We went to Blue Ridge, Blairsville, Cleveland, Anna Ruby Falls, Mount Yonah Trail and Brasstown Ball. Even took a partial day trip to Athens to visit the U of Georgia. Came back each night to a comfortable and relaxing evening at the cabin. Had everything we needed during our stay. Would definitely recommend this cabin.

It was close enough to Helen and other areas of interest but still afforded peace and tranquility while "at home" during our stay. Everything was clean and well-stocked, and the creek in the backyard was a nice place to sit and relax. Additionally, as a storm approached the area during our stay, the management team reached out to make sure we were safe. I would highly recommend this cabin and this management team to anyone visiting the area.

The thoughtful birthday surprise and gift basket left for me truly touched my heart and made my stay even more special. The cabin itself is incredibly cozy, providing the perfect retreat after a day of exploring the charming town. I especially loved unwinding in the hot tub—it was such a blissful way to relax after all the walking. I wholeheartedly recommend this place for anyone looking for a memorable stay. A solid 10/10!

Great Stay in Settin' on the Creek

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall a great stay! Cabin was clean and well kept. The layout was nice with the bedrooms being on opposite ends of the cabin, it had an extension at the back which was my favorite part of the cabin where you can have your morning coffee and watch the sunrise on a rocking chair in a cozy and warm environment, water pressure was good, and kitchen was well stocked. Georgia Rental's customer service was excellent. The old coffeemaker needed to be replaced and they did so promptly the next day. Sherry and Jessica were very helpful.I would recommend this cabin to a friend. We went around Helen, GA for the first time, and there is a number of good restaurants away from the touristy part which in my opinion was offering better food such as Hoochee's River Basket, Nacoochee Village Tavern & Pizzeria, Betty's Country Store, and Creekstone Winery.I look forward to coming back and staying with Georgia Rental again.

Just the perfect amount of privacy

The property is just as depicted in the pictures but better in person ! The location is up a mountain on dirt/gravel roads but not difficult to navigate with an SUV. It was private with neighbors all around but no one very close at all. We used the firepit in the back and the fireplace inside the home and it was wonderful. It is important to know that you will need to bring a lighter and starter log and either preorder or buy wood for each. There is a store very close that is really resonable if you need to get anything. It's also important to note that there are no basic spices ( even salt and pepper) and no laundry supplies for the washer and dryer. This is noted in the body of the description of the rental but a picture of the laundry room shows supplies so I didn't catch that. But honestly those few things were tiny details that did not take away from our overall enjoyment of the cabin. Also, the customer service from Georgia Mountain Rentals was outstanding !!! I would highly recommend this rental. It is super close to Helen and main street and many other outdoor activities!
