Very spacious two-bedroom on quiet street right across from the park. Lots nearby, including downtown-which is a twenty-four minute walk. Air conditioner in most spaces kept rooms cool, even in 100 degree heat. Nice furniture. Leather sofa and chair. The neighborhood mini market, north on Fifth St. was a blessing. Really a very nice space to relax and enjoy Roanoke.

Charming flat in an older building. It is right across the street from a park with walking paths and shady trees (nice for summertime visit). It was very hot the week we were there. The air con kept the place cool but it was loud as it cycled on and off (annoying at night). Kitchen is basic but functional. Communication with host was prompt.

Image de profil de l’hôte
Hello! I’m Lamare from the star city of the south, Roanoke, va. I own a small transportation company and I love traveling with my wonderful wife and kids. I enjoy meeting new people and seeing new places. I participated in the air Airbnb community as a guest for a few years before hosting. We truly love Roanoke. Come and let us share it with you!

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

I love the Southwest Roanoke City neighborhood because it perfectly blends historic charm with a vibrant sense of community. The beautiful old homes, tree-lined streets, and unique architecture give every walk a feeling of stepping through history, while places like Grandin Village bring the area to life with local shops, cozy cafés, and the beloved Grandin Theatre. There’s always something happening—neighbors chatting on porches, weekend markets, and easy access to parks and greenways. It’s a place where the past and present meet, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere that truly feels like home.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

My house in Southwest Roanoke City is unique because it captures the neighborhood’s historic charm with original architectural details that have been lovingly preserved. Its character shows through in the woodwork, large windows, and inviting front porch that reflect the craftsmanship of another era. Surrounded by a friendly community and walkable streets, it feels both timeless and full of life.
