Escape to a beautiful stretch of the Severn River, just west of Sparrow Lake. This 4-bedroom, 1.5-bath cottage is the perfect spot for families and groups to relax, reconnect, and enjoy the water.

Perfect views for relaxing.

We arrived in the middle of heavy rainfall and were met by a huge welcoming toad at the door. The deck area is extensive and gives you exceptional views along with an expansive BBQ/dining area. There are 2 bathrooms but only one was useful as the other was so tiny & tight for older bones. The bedrooms are nicely decorated and the AC/heat from the units was most welcome but maybe lacking some more hooks or towel bars. You had mentioned condiments were available but we were completely surprised to find the entire door of one frig packed with leftover containers as well as frozen packaged food in the freezer. The kitchen although small had many major appliances of which the coffee machine was appreciated. Suggestion for the kitchen items is that many duplicate items should be purged and organized but understand that many families leave items when they depart as you do not have usage of the on sight garbage containers The forest and large trees that surround this property were so lovely and the chipmunks & wild birds were so delightful and playful. We all enjoyed our stay and had wonderful BBQ dinners. Just for your info, the door onto the back screened porch area was slightly open when we arrived and we secured it throughout our stay.

SEVERN RIVER COTTAGE WEEK

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage. When you walk in, you feel like you are " at the cottage". No one wanted to leave! The kitchen area was excellent and stocked with items that you would not expect at a cottage, including two refrigerators with freezer sections. All 4 bedrooms were very comfortable and allowed us to have a bed for everyone, except my one son who prefers to sleep on the couch so he can watch TV. Space was available in the bedroom to set up a pack n play for my 1 year old grand daughter to sleep. Indoor space is limited, eating area is rather small and the second bath is quite tight. The outdoor space couldn't be better, and provides additional eating space in good weather. The deck and dock are wonderful. Great boat access, and quality for safety. BBQ is new and clean. The screened in porch was used every night, nobody likes mosquitos! We would highly recommend this property to anyone with a family of 8-10 or less, who is seeking a comfortable get away at the water. Loved it! We will definitely be back.
