Texas style private guest house w/wood burning fireplace located on a scenic 5 acres in Wise County TX. Just minutes away from LBJ Grasslands, Black Creek Lake & historic down town Decatur. Also, just a short 45 minute drive to Winstar Casino, the Stockyards in down town Ft Worth and Texas Motor Speedway. Close enough to enjoy the DFW area but far enough that you can still enjoy the peace and quiet that the Texas countryside offers.
Property features a fire pit, swimming pool, hot tub & outdoor kitchen w/gas grill & pizza oven for use in the common area.
There are 2 rental houses that share the outdoor areas including the swimming pool. The hot tub is available for private use by 1 hr reservation. Swimming pool is open for all guests to use at anytime. To view information on the additional house rental please search the Bunkhouse at Woodland Escape.

Guesthouse is a 1 bedroom, 1 bath 1,100 sqft house with a fully equipped kitchen and laundry room. Decorated with a cozy farmhouse theme with games and crafts for families and couples.
We are pet friendly, $10 per pet per night. Enjoy nature, stargaze in the hammock, roast smores by the fire or cool off in the pool! Unplug, relax & recharge! Complimentary farm fresh eggs provided for every stay.

We had a great stay. It is remote but easy to find. Owner brought us fresh eggs from their chickens which was a nice bonus. Hot tub and pool were great. Very comfortable size for two of us. Would stay here again.

We have stayed in a lot of rentals and this was one of our favs! It is so cute and comfortable with lots of room. We loved having all the chickens, deer and the goose roaming free around us. The chicken coop is fabulous and the shower curtain in the guesthouse was so fantastic I wanted to take it home! We enjoyed swimming on a hot August day and then turned around and enjoyed the hot tub at night. Perfect amenities for a get-away weekend.

Beautiful, Homey Guesthouse

We loved our stay! The house and the location exceeded expectations. For a one bedroom guesthouse, it felt spacious and had everything we needed and more, like a beautiful pool and hot tub. It’s off the beaten path and was very peaceful and comfortable. We’ll definitely try to go back.

Temporary Home

This was a great place to stay. Quiet and quaint, out in the country with little noise. Pets are allowed and are even catered to. We stayed here for a few days between selling our house and being able to move into our new house. It worked out great and was much more relaxed than trying to stay at a hotel.

We came into town to see our grandson get married! As usual , we brought our 2 dogs. This was our second stay and we highly recommend for families to stay here with the playground, pool, hot tub, outdoor kitchen and they are adding a childrens zip line!

Little piece of heaven

Beautiful property from the the guesthouse to the whole 5 acres. Perfect for geandparents down to the youngest grandchild! Antique furniture to games, horseshoes to outdoor kitchen and pool, playground, firepit, horseshoes and cornhole! I loved the property cat on the prowl aka Domino and there is "hush money" in the form of cat food in the kitchen lol. Deer come to the feeder...friendly goose and chickens are nearby. The "Gratitude Garden" was precious! All in all we give it 5 stars!
