Wonderful stay!

Steve was a great host! He provided us with plenty of information about his place. Loved the proximity to Sha Sha resort. Kayaking was fun. Lots of outdoor seating to enjoy the view. Very comfortable and very clean!!

Lake side retreat

We needed a base to explore Voyageurs National Park and perhaps paddle around on a lake. This spot was all that and more, with a short walk to Sha Sha Resort and a short drive to Thunderbird resort - great restaurants on the water. Hope we can come back some day and spend more time.

Amazing place to stay

the property was great by the side of Rainy lake with very good access to the lake. great spot for stargazing and seeing northern lights. Steve (Owner of the property) is very cooperative. great wifi too if you are planning to work.

We appreciated the cabin being updated and loaded with essentials. It was clean and comfortable. Steve is a great host, and we would stay there again.

A lovely getaway

Although we were only able to stay a few days, this spot left us wanting more time. We swam, fished and relaxed on a dock overlooking the beautiful scenery of northern Minnesota. All the comforts of hom helped make ut a perfect stay!

Steve was a great host and the unit is small but great for 6 people- great for an area where our goal was to spend lots of time outside. Very close to Rainy Lake Visitors Center in Voyageurs and on the shores of Rainy Lake itself. We used the fire pit on the property for s'mores. Steve is very communicative, responsive to requests, and also has recommendations for area activities and dining.

Beautiful Location!

We stayed 2 nights at this lovely spot on the lake. Cozy cabin with great view of the lake through large window. Has everything you need. Close to VNP entrance. Lake access right there. Walking distance to Sha Sha Resort.

What a Beautiful place. The living room window was awesome! What a view. Extremally clean! Highest quality of appliances, GREAT neighbors! Not listed in property listing, but swimming and fishing from the dock! We loved our stay, and wish we could have stayed much longer. Thank you for sharing your beautiful spot on Rainy lake with us.

This Dove Island property is incredibly clean, well maintained and modern. The view is incredible. It is located in a very fun spot at the very edge of Dove Island close to the Sha Sha Resort and a Voyageur National Park Center. It has 3 very clean and comfortable bedrooms and a complete kitchen. It should be noted in the description that this property is the bottom floor of a house and while it has a totally private, separate entrance you may hear anything happening upstairs. It's a completely separate space but not it's own structure. With those parameters - I would recommend this property.

Super happy with this property! The decor was lovely, and the beds were out of this world! There were plenty of towels, and the kitchen was stocked with everything that you needed…except a can opener! Lol! Obviously, the picture window looking over the lake was the best thing about this property, hands-down. I was impressed with how clean the window was! Watching the sun come up and all the activity on the lake was no problem! The keypad on the front door was a little tricky. Of course, by the time our last day rolled around, we had figured it out! A sound bar for the television would make a nice addition if there is a budget down the road from improvements. This property was a good hub for our adventures in Canada and Voyageurs National Park.
