Amazing vacation home!

We had a fabulous time in this cozy house. The basketball hoop, fire pit and backyard made it extra special for the kids. We also especially loved how close it was to the bike paths and to Edgartown. Would highly recommend this property!

we really enjoyed our stay. It was perfect for our bigger family. Loved the property and quiet location. The microwave didn’t work unfortunately and there were a few lights that didn’t seem to work either

Well located, spacious, needed updating

Stained curtains, worn furnishings, moldy smell offset the nice kitchen and great location.

House smells awful. Had to buy candles, febreeze and glade plugins to make it manageable. Had issue with the door. Couldn’t fix the lock to back door. Could not get a response from host. Had to put furniture against the door for 3 days. Took until the 4th day for anyone to respond and resolve the problem. Would not recommend.

House for a quick stay

This got the job done, but it’s evident that the house needs some interior updates. The house smells a bit musty and feels used. Also some things such as the bathroom fan didn’t work. I chose this as place for sleeping (as opposed to hosting), and we made it work.

Not their fault

Walked into a house that smelled like a nursing home. Previous renters made such a mess (drunks urinated on the couch) it was unable to be cleaned by staff. We were relocated to a new house without additional cost. Vacasa helped us out tremendously. The house is good, beds are cheap mattresses maybe ok for kids. I really felt bad for the homeowner

Disappointing

Upon entering no house numbers, very intense mildew smell throughout, dining room window broken and boarded up with plywood and duct tape. Broken microwave (since 2018), faulty toaster (melted cord) faulty dishwasher. I can continue but ill stop here. I love Edgartown and vacation here yearly, so i was surprised to see the lack of attention to this rental. When Vacasa finally responded, 5 days in they did give us a small refund. The house is lovely and the groundsbut recommend attention to details.

Photos Are Misleading

Upon our arrival the large bay window in the dining room was broken and covered with painters tape and cardboard. After multiple calls to Vacasa we were told the previous renters had broken it. It was never fixed during our week long stay. Much to our alarm there was a person staying in the room over the garage that had never been disclosed prior to our arrival. The room was filled with dirty dishes and rotting food. Vacasa told us that this space was left to the owners discretion and was not our problem. This room over the garage overlooked the outdoor shower which made bathing uncomfortable. The microwave had an electrical issue and would turn on by it self so we had to constantly unplug it. The refrigerator light was out and the faucet in the downstairs bathroom leaked. The curtains and the sofa/pillows in the living room were dirty and the furnishings were covered with dusty doilies. The back garden was beautiful and the house was in a good location - close to town/beaches. Based on our experience we will not be renting from Vacasa in the future.

Comfortable but need improvements

The home is in a good location with ease of access to most attractions, restaurants and shopping. It has all the basic utensils and furnishing although everything appears rather dated. The bathrooms can definitely use a facelift. The yard was overgrown and unkept. The cleaning crew did a poor job leaving bugs on the floors and some counter area. A few of the outdoor lights and refrigerator lights were out and the microwave was out of service. The property management was quick to clean up the bugs which we appreciate but the other issues remained. Except for the above concerns, the house is comfortable and we enjoyed our stay.
