What an amazing place, location, view and stay! We loved our stay at the yellow ferry boat. It was super comfortable, well appointed and such a fun spot to stay for a few days. Booking and check in was super easy. Directions and communication were spot on and quick. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

The yellow ferry was a splurge for us and it was 100% worth it! Absolutely beautiful home, large and spacious, quiet and friendly neighbors. Close to the city, but calm and serene. I asked our teens for any downsides and the only thing they mentioned is that the birds are your morning alarm clock. We loved it and will recommend it to anyone looking for a unique base for their Bay-area travels!

The Ferry was an example of one of the most unique and enjoyable experiences we have encountered. It had so much space and we really enjoyed our stay and the views!! The kitchen was awesome and its location was so special as well. My only suggestion for improvement would just be a little freshen up of the pillows and some of the linens and a deeper clean of the built in upholstery. Other than that, we cannot recommend it enough. It was a really special experience.

This was my second time staying here. Originally I stayed on the other side, though Chris didn't believe me lol. Everything was perfect as always. Chris and Izzy always create an amazing experience. There is always a part of me tied to this place, and I was so happy I was able to show it to my girlfriend. I always wish we could stay two weeks so we had more time to just relax on the ferry. As always, thank you again for what your family has created.

It was very very clean and comfortable. There was nothing you needed except your clothes and toothbrush. Books, games and a very well stocked kitchen. Even though the host lived next to the property, we never met them. We were told by Greg( Cris's brother....saw him coming out of the property) that Cris was in Mexico and Isabella was not feeling well. There was some construction going on above us, but it was only for a couple of days. All in all it was wonderful. The location was perfect as was the view of Richardson Bay. Restaurants in the area were great. This historic houseboat was truly a must see. Elaine T.

This property is just fabulous! It was so special to sit on the deck and watch the sea plane take off and land, to watch the marine life, and the very active humans enjoying the water and view in their kayaks, SUPs, and other forms of entertainment. Everything was clean and spacious, and we had everything we needed for our short stay.

Our family loved staying in the Big Yellow Ferry. There were plenty of spaces for people to hang out. The decor was both attractive and comfortable. The kitchen had an amazing stove and lots of pots and pans. Beds were comfortable. And the marina area was just pretty. We highly recommend this place.

We absolutely loved our stay on the FerryBoat. My husband is tall (6'7) and he had no issues in the bathrooms/bedrooms that are on the lower level. The art and decor are so charming and interesting to look at. But the view and the calm the water brings is so lovely. We enjoyed a family kayak trip around the area from the house and saw so much wildlife. It was also an easy trip to Muir Woods, GG Bridge Overlook, Sausalito Ferry, SF and more. Great central location.

It was a real treat to be on a converted car ferry. The space was amazing, the views of Richardson Bay were amazing, and the location was perfect for the things we wanted to do.

Peaceful Stay

We loved the yellow boat! Plenty of room for 6 of us, comfy beds and everything needed to cook if needed. We stayed almost a week so grateful there were plenty of towels and other household type stuff there for the entire stay. And of course the views were the best!

Great communication throughout with the host. The Big Yellow Ferry is loaded with charm, beautifully cared for and in a setting in Sausalito on the San Francisco Bay that can’t be beat. The views, the abundant natural light, the friendly vibes in the lovely harbor and the fabulous nearby dining options all added up to a 10/10 experience. We hope to return soon! Thank you!

The Yellow Ferry was the perfect location to spend a few days of family time with my adult children. We were able to explore San Francisco & Mt. Tam /Muir Woods which were just 20 minutes away.
