Welcome to "Between the Blue"! Relax with the whole family in our peaceful home located in the Sanderling Community in the town of Duck. Take a 4 min walk to the beach or enjoy direct views of the sound from our home. Use our bikes to make a quick trip to the pool or the town of Duck! We also provide beach gear and a beach wagon for your beach trips. Nestled between the ocean and sound side, "Between the Blue" lives up to its name.

House was beautiful
.super clean. Great location. Easy walk to the beach with a view of the sound. Host did all the big things that one expects plus all the “little things” that make a big difference and an enjoyable renting experience. One of the best, if not the best, VRBOs we have enjoyed.

Between the Blue

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property this summer. The home is new and in great condition. The property owner provided us with great communication as well amenities. Definitely plan to return again-great experience!

Beautiful, comfortable house

We loved our stay. Location was great - minutes to both Duck waterfront shops & Corolla. Easy 4 minute walk to the beach. The house was beautiful, beds were comfortable and had everything we needed. We had one small issue (dead battery in smoke alarm that kept beeping) that Jorjetta rectified as soon as we communicated it to her. Jorjetta communicated before & during our stay to make sure everything was good. We would definitely recommend!

One of our favorite family vacations ❀

My family and I had the best time in Duck! We thoroughly enjoyed “Between the Blue”. The house was comfortable, clean and had everything we could have hoped for. The hosts were great and check in was smooth. Location is great and outdoor space was relaxing. Loved the screened in porch in the morning with my cup of coffee and my daughter loved it at night to read! The sunsets were also awesome to watch off the back deck or from the living room through the lovely windows. We will definitely be back again ❀

Amazing!

A rare treat to find a new smaller house so close to everything. The house is one of the best we ever stayed; clean, luxury finishes, top notch appliances... The location is very convenient only a short walk to the beach, bike ride to Duck. The house come with beach chairs, wagon, umbrellas, bikes .... The hosts were great, easy check in/out. Very thoughtful welcome gift. We had a great time - thank you Jorjetta and Ryan.

Obx getaway

Jorjetta was such a great host! Her home was so inviting and filled with thoughtful touches throughout. Half our stay in the obx was unfortunately complicated with rain and wind - but we didn’t mind spending more time in our “between the blue” home which had top notch appliances, great internet, beautiful deck space including a covered area for outdoor sitting/reading, located in a quiet cul-de-sac in the sanderling community. Our kids loved the bunk bed room and their separate bathroom near the kitchen - including a sandbox/play area outside. Harris Teeter is 10min away and the Duck boardwalk is close enough to bike to with supplied bikes! We will definitely look to return with our family again.

Over the years, we have been inspired by different cultures around the world and have always found tranquility being by the water. After many visits to the Outer Banks, we decided to create a home of our own to make memories with our son and family. We love the town of Duck and the area of Sanderling and we think you will too. Through many months of planning and work, Between the Blue took form out of a vision to enjoy simple luxury while paying respect to the surrounding natural environment. We are striving to create an inspirational atmosphere for our guests to not only break away from everyday life but perhaps discover a new idea or clearer vision for their life's journey.

The town of Sanderling and Duck offer a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Both the sound and the ocean are close in proximity as opposed to other areas up and down the coast. Our community pool and racquet club have excellent facilities. The town of Duck is only 3 miles away, easily accessible by car or bike to restaurants and shops.

Our home is newly built in 2021 and has a classic elegance design making the home functional and stylish. Our views of the sound offer beautiful sunset views. The beach and ocean is only a 3 min walk. Area is quiet and peaceful in the area of Duck, which is a designated bird sanctuary.
