The House on Round - Summer Weeks & Fall Color Weekends Still Available!

Enjoy lake life on a quiet bay of one of Hayward's premier lakes. The bay is home to loons, bald eagles, owls, deer, otters, ducks, and frogs as well as an occasional bear. Beyond the bay, Round Lake is renowned for boating, fishing, and swimming (NOTE: The shoreline in front of the house is not good for swimming). Take one of our provided kayaks (there's 2 of them) and make your way to the nearby sandbar or across the lake to the island to swim, picnic, and play.

Our private chalet features 3 bedrooms (each with its own private veranda) and 3.5 bathrooms, a 3-season screen porch, dining room, living room, and a family room. There is ample space for 10+ guests.

Prepare your meals in the fully stocked kitchen or cook on the gas grill and dine on the wrap-around deck. Enjoy the main floor fireplace (wood provided), the family room gas fireplace, and the fire pit in the expansive yard.

Modern necessities are also provided such as wifi access, 2 smart TVs for your gaming system or streaming services, central air, and a full-size washer and dryer at no extra charge.

There is space at the dock for one additional boat if you wish to bring one and a public boat launch is close by. We also have 2 kayaks for use by all

A Note About Dogs:
We LOVE dogs and we want our guests to enjoy their vacation with the whole family, including the furry members :-) Up to two dogs are allowed with prior approval- an additional fee applies. That being said, please be mindful of whether our home is appropriate for your dog(s).

We may not be the vacation rental for you if your dog(s):
*Consider barking to be a favorite pastime;
*Chew things other than bones;
*Cannot bear to be on a tie-out;
*Use the house as a bathroom.

We ask that your dogs be supervised when at the house and crated when you are not (One large crate is available at the cabin). We provide a long suspended lead in the front yard, but please do not leave him/her out if you are not on the property. Also, it should not need to be said (but unfortunately needs to be, as we have had guests leave enough surprises for us), but PLEASE pick up after your dogs!! It is NOT the responsibility of our cleaners.
