Erickson Norris Lakefront Home-Deerfield Resort- Vue panoramique inégalée sur le coucher du soleil

La maison ERICKSON NORRIS LAKEFRONT est située à Deerfield Resort sur le lac Norris et est un superbe cèdre et verre de 5800 pieds carrés sur un hectare avec quai de bateau privé, enrouler autour des ponts et des vues panoramiques inspirantes. Cette maison de location de vacances joliment meublée est décorée avec des œuvres d'art originales, offre une vue magnifique sur le lac Norris depuis chaque chambre, y compris la salle de bain principale. On voit souvent des cerfs de Virginie profiter de la terre autour de la maison. Nous avons ajouté 100 000 $ de mises à niveau au printemps 2016.

Les grandes fenêtres sont des verres à double vitrage écoénergétiques spéciaux qui résistent à la chaleur et au soleil tout en laissant entrer la vue spectaculaire sur le lac. Cela faisait partie de notre vaste rénovation majeure du printemps 2010 pour toute la maison à l'intérieur et à l'extérieur. Nous venons également de terminer une autre grande mise à jour et rénovation au printemps 2016. (voir nos photos) La maison dispose de deux grandes cuisines complètes avec de nouveaux réfrigérateurs, deux salles à manger, deux salons confortables chacun avec leurs propres téléviseurs HD à grand écran. Le salon inférieur a une table de billard réglementaire que les clients apprécient vraiment. L'intimité d'avoir deux salons séparés permet plus de choix pour nos vacanciers.

Deerfield Resort est une communauté fermée avec un magnifique parcours de golf, tennis, piscine et autres activités. 900 acres de belle marche pour profiter de vues spectaculaires. Il y a quelque chose pour chacun. Nous avons une chambre King avec baignoire jacuzzi double lavabo (et belle vue sur le lac). Il y a 4 chambres doubles (deux avec salle de bain privée). Il y a une grande chambre ouverte sur le balcon au-dessus du salon qui a 2 futons jumeaux et un rideau d'intimité. Placard complet, table de nuit, commode, etc. Nous avons choisi d'avoir cette chambre ouverte sur la vue sur le lac à deux étages du bas dans le salon. Il y a un autre futon double situé dans une alcôve ouverte au dernier étage. Il y a aussi deux adultes futons de style européen dans la pièce principale inférieure, et quatre salles de bain complètes et 2 salles de bains pour les invités.

La MAISON ERICKSON est parfaite pour les familles et les amis à bien des égards. Nous avons construit cette maison sur mesure en 1992 et avons pensé à toutes les fonctionnalités possibles pour nos vacanciers (ainsi que pour que nous puissions en profiter avec notre famille) .Il y a deux étages de terrasses enveloppantes Lakeview, joliment meublées avec des meubles de terrasse durables et un barbecue à gaz. Puisque la maison est sur un point et un hectare de terrain, la vue est tout simplement spectaculaire. Il y a une zone de mise à l'eau dans la station et plusieurs quais où vous pouvez louer des bateaux.

Outstanding home and perfect location! Plenty of room for 3 families. The house deck, covered deck along the stairs to the dock, and dock deck were used extensively. The kids(and me) loved jumping in the lake off the dock. With the dock availability, we rented a pontoon boat and everything worked out really well. Owners were VERY accommodating and communicated quickly.

Brian, Thanks for taking time to comment. Your input about chairs for the dock was noted. I am getting some nice heavy Adirondack rocking chairs. We are really excited about our new heavy stable dock. It is held in place by two cabled dead men, and the ramp is held securely by new cement steps with walls to keep the ramp tires in place. Wonderful Lakehouse Stay!

We are usually a beach vacation family, but this lake vacation exceeded our expectations! Greg and Kenlyn were very gracious VRBO hosts, the home was very spacious for our two families, and the location was wonderful. We rented a pontoon and jet skis from the nearby marina which the young and older adults loved and the lake was just absolutely beautiful. The sunsets from the home were breathtaking. Everyone agreed we will be back.

Great home for extended family

We had 15 of us, and this home is so spacious, and accommodating for large groups, that we were comfortable all week. It was very clean, and had everything we needed including 2 kitchens, 2 coffee maker and a Keurig - plenty of other appliances, plates, etc. If you are looking for a large place this is it - Oh yes, and the view is spectacular.

Great lake vacation

We LOVED staying at this house! Every dawn and dusk we enjoyed sitting outside on the deck enjoying the incredible view. The house was spacious and well equipped. It definitely met all of our needs. There are a lot of steps to the dock and some of them steep. The dock is on the main channel in the lake and docking the boat with wakes and current could be a challenge.

Really glad you enjoyed your time at our home. The amazing view was the reason we built there. This fall we are building a large covered deck halfway down to the dock. It will have electricity, and still have the amazing view. We are also putting in a new state of the art dock, and cement stairs with side areas to hold the new wheeled ramp in place. This, with the much heavier dock, and two cabled sunken cement deadmen in the lake, will provide as stable of a dock as available. We are sparing no expense to upgrade these locations. The house has been extensively upgraded over the last few years, and the view has never needed anything but an inspiring gaze to work its magic.

The house was nice and also the neighborhood but the master bath was dirty and the towels stained the property is huge but a little secluded But overall it was nice!

I apologize about the towels. You are the last renter until the house reopens in May. Our towels are white and very plush, I guess our cleaner missed one. Our cleaning crew, that we have had for 20 years, would have responded immediately if called. The house has one of the most amazing views on all of Norris Lake. Most folks come for the cleanest lake in Tennessee. Again, sorry for your problems.

Thanksgiving Holiday

The house is very nice and spacious . Weather cool but kids enjoyed playing pool and fishing from dock. Kitchen appliances and dishes worked well, made amazing meals. Everyone comfortable and slept well. Made lifetime family memories!

We had a great time! House is huge and very well laid out. ..plenty of space for everyone even if you wanted your own space. Plenty of liens and honestly, the very best stocked kitchen in any rental I have ever been in! A++ for that!!! Washers and dryers worked great as well. Highly recommend this house.

Annual Family Vacay

Going to different places each summer with our blended family of 13 led us to this property for the summer of 2023. My brother's family also came, so there were 17 of us in all. The house was very spacious and accommodated us very well with the children being able to have futons to sleep on. The two kitchens were a big bonus. We enjoyed the lake with the beautiful view, the park, and the pickle ball courts where we learned that my husband and I enjoy pickle ball and plan to become a force to be reckoned with when we play back home in Ohio:)

Thanksgiving vacation ‘22

We stayed in the lake house with a couple families for a 3 day holiday weekend. When we first arrived we discovered a water leak and we’re able to get in touch with the host. It was late at night and we were able to avoid the immediate area of the leak and the host sent a person to repair the property the next morning. Other than that the property was very accommodating for the 13 people who stayed there with us. The view is amazing, the place was very big and easy to spend time with the family or get some alone time if needed. The beds were great the 2 kitchens were fantastic since we cooked Thanksgiving dinner there. Plenty of bathrooms for a large gathering. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful home w terrific lake view

This house has beautiful views of Norris lake looking West towards Shanghai Marina. With 2 balconies, there plenty of space for kids and adults to enjoy. The home is in a beautiful neighborhood (Deerfield Resort) which is very well maintained. If you’re pulling a boat, be aware of hilly and narrow roads. The driveway is a little steep but has room for 4 vehicles. If you plan on docking your boat at the house, recommend bringing extra fenders and lines as busy weekend boat traffic will rock the boat significantly. The house is very well equipped - we had a great time! Thanks!!

Beautiful views

The house is very nice and spacious. Plenty of room to spread out for our large group (10 adults, 4 children and 1 infant). Well stocked upper kitchen. The view from every bedroom and all decks is spectacular! However, basement area had a strange odor and little centipedes. We also found small ants in upper kitchen. Dock is fairly rocky from all boat activity on lake. We still swam off it, but some in our group did get “seasick”. Less rocky in morning and evening. Overall, would recommend but feel the basement odor and bug issues should be addressed especially for how expensive a week’s stay is.

Sorry to hear about the bugs. We have the pest control folks out every two weeks during our summer season. We also let renters know to call if there are any problems. Usually, we can have the pest person out the next day. It is a large house with much open nature surrounding it. Pests are very resilient. We do our best. We will make the call us about pest problems more noticeable in our email. We have our large septic tank drained and the beginning of every summer season. Big house with many occupants. This is the first time we have had a basement odor complaint since our new draining policy. They will be coming out again next week which is our first open dates of the summer. Our home being up high, and near the point where Cedar Creek meets the main lake gives us the widest most panoramic view on all of Norris Lake. It also puts our dock in a major traffic pattern. We have enlarged it, added a covered slip, and added a large submerged concrete block connected to an adjustable large cable. This fall, we will see what else is available to help the problem. According to our dock builder, with more than 30 years of experience on the lake, wakes are a growing problem for everyone.

The house was ready promptly at 4pm and appeared tidy. It was extremely well stocked, far more than any other house we have ever stayed at. I wish that we would have received the check in email, although outdated, a day or so before so that we would have known how well stocked it was (we could have left a lot of cooking accessories at home). There were some conflicting information between the check in/out procedures in the email & the print outs at the home as well as not updated info on the day of the exterminator visit (that was a surprise!), however the house was beautiful and the beds and couches nice and comfy. A few guests did miss having TVs in the bedrooms, but we didn’t mind much. There were a surprising amount of lightbulbs out that needed replacing, including the entire lower deck. Also the new dock did not have power, but we believe that they were in the process of renovations. The new decking and gazebo area were gorgeous, but we learned quickly that a boat lift is a must for this area of the lake. The extra bumpers provided by the owners were a godsend, but we would not return to a house on such a crowded part of the lake that does not have a lift again due to the sheer wear and tear that the wake from constant boat traffic puts on the docked boat. Other than putting a lift in, I think the owners have done everything possible to secure the dock and make the experience as safe and secure as possible.

ANNUAL AUGUST NORRIS VACA

Greg was awesome to deal with. Very helpful with any questions that we had before getting to the property. The house was beautiful, and we had plenty of room for all 12 of us. The bottom floor (apartment) was great for the younger adults as they had their own hang out area and kitchen. The only negative, which Greg did tell us about, but we didn't heed his warning...since the property is located on the tip of the peninsula and is in a great location with several marinas and the jumping bridge very close, the boat traffic is INSANE which means the dock is constantly moving A LOT. We had a boat and 2 jet skis with us, and at some points in time, the boat was rocking so hard that we thought it was coming out of the water (no exaggeration there) and the jet skis took on a bit of damage even though we brought the dock protection/pads for them. The other boaters in the lake run their boats extremely close to the dock with no regards of the large wake they cause. But again, Greg told us about that, and we just didn't realize how rough it would be. But we all had an awesome time and stayed on the dock all day, you just learned to roll with it's motion. I would recommend to any family needing an awesome house and host.

Beautiful View

My family of 13 members (including 4 small grandchildren) spent a week down at Norris Lake. The views from the front windows and the deck were, indeed, absolutely gorgeous. It was wonderful to be able to see in 3 different directions...the sunsets were amazing! The house was large - there was plenty of room for all of us. The living area was exceptionally spacious and the dining area, with the proximity of the bar, was big enough for all of us to sit down to a meal together. Our main, and rather big, concern was the cleanliness of the home. The kitchen drawers were quite dirty with crumbs....enough so that we washed every utensil before using it. The outside of the house had ashtrays that were overflowing and several beer cans in the grass. Even though the owners stated that no pets are allowed, we found a small "pile" behind the TV. At the end of the week, we emailed the owners with our concerns and they immediately responded saying only that they were sorry that we hadn't contacted them or the cleaning service (for which they had, in fact, given us a phone number, in the directions that they sent us prior to our arrival) earlier in the week. We had not wanted to complain, but as the week progressed we found more problems. I realize that the owners are not on site to monitor the cleanliness of the house. They told us that they had forwarded my email to the cleaning service and assured us that the matters I mentioned would be taken care of. All in all, we had a wonderful week. However, their email left me feeling like it was my fault because we didn't contact them earlier. Four times in their email they said......"but as I have said, I'm sorry that you didn't email or call us about the issue." So, my guess is that these issues will be resolved for future tenents.....and oh, by the way, the Wi-Fi did not work the entire week. FIVE STARS FOR: spaciousness, views from the deck, 2 large refrigerators ONE STAR FOR: cleanliness, no Wi-Fi, sheets that need to be replaced

We do appreciate all your positive comments about our home. The home is 5800 sq.ft and we are back to back Saturdays during summer bookings, one party leaving by 11 AM and the other arriving by 4 PM. We're sorry that these guests didn't immediately inform our crew of any cleaning issues as they would have been more than happy to address any and all concerns. As per the WI-FI not working, we have a local company who with just a phone call would have taken care of any issues right away. Again, thanks also for all your very positive remarks about the home.

Great Home on Norris

We had a lovely time staying at the Erickson House! Greg the homeowner was really easy to communicate with leading up to our arrival. The house was and clean and spacious accommodating 3 families with kids. Kitchen was stocked and had everything we needed to make meals at home. Would definitely recommend!

Thank you for sharing your property with us. A great location within Deerfield. Close to the golf course. Loved the kitchen and dock, but the best is the views from the deck. Fantastic!

Erickson House

The house and property were fantastic, and we all like theDeerfield location very much. However, the lake was at its summertime high, and the dock/ ramp moved way to much to utilize as much as we wanted. The dock moved, with the water, and broke the gas cap off rented jet ski. Other than that we had a terrific vacation.

Great place to stay for a family vacation. The view of the lake was amazing day and night!

Great location with an incredible view!! Quick boat ride to the jumping bridge and multiple marinas! The kids had a blast jumping off of the dock! The sunsets and stars at night were amazing!

This family built home has been passed down to, daughter, Kenlyn and her husband Greg. They moved to Knoxville many years ago because of the natural beauty of the area. Being artists who made our living selling nationally, we could have lived anywhere. Nowhere else was ever tempting enough to take us away. We still live in South Knoxville in a cabin built by mountain folks in 1931.

To add to the wonder of our area, we thought about building a small home on a lake. Kenlyn spent almost a year exploring all of East Tennessee. She found Norris Lake, the cleanest lake in Tennessee, to be the spot that kept drawing her back. She found Deerfield Resort to be sweetest location on all of this amazing lake. We spent many days looking through Deerfield for our dream location. At the end of every search day, we always came back to one particular place. It was a large foundation that offered the most stunning, breathtaking lake vista and sunset we had ever experienced. When we found that the owner couldn't continue to build, the whole family jumped in and bought this dream setting. With such a large foundation we had to build big. Our 5800 square foot home was built in 1996. We knew it was the perfect vacation getaway, so we joined Vrbo when it was in its infancy. We are still with them.
The home has gone through many upgrades throughout the years. We have had generations of folks continue to come back. All the heartfelt reviews on this site make us very pleased that our efforts are appreciated. Kenlyn and Greg Stewart

We chose to build this large home because of family in Tennessee, North Carolina, etc. We enjoy the home ourselves with family during the off season. We originally planned to build or purchase a little cabin but finding this amazing spot changed our minds. It is a decision we have never regretted for an instant

Our family enjoys the home tremendously with the many activities Deerfield and the surrounding areas offer. There is a pool, tennis/pickleball courts, marina with restaurant, and a great very well maintained resort golf course. Fishing off our dock is a great way to spend your time. There is a great spot, much visited by locals, off the left side of the dock. Our view is what brought us to build on this location. It is magnificent. Unrivaled on the whole of Norris Lake. For day trips, we are just over an hour from Knoxville, and a bit more travel from Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and the Smoky Mountains. Most folks, however, just prefer to stay at our home and enjoy what the amazing lake offers, and finding their own nooks in our large comfortable house, and many decks.
