Bienvenue à BajaMar. Située dans le quartier souhaitable de Mata Grande / Mata Chica, cette maison a été achevée en 2010 et dispose d'une plage de sable blanc immaculée, d'une piscine privée à débordement d'eau douce qui surplombe la barriÚre de corail, d'une terrasse d'observation au 3Úme étage, d'une palapa avec bar, d'un refroidisseur de boissons et d'un grill, 4 kayaks pour les invités à apprécier, et une autre cuisine extérieure avec barbecue à gaz, réfrigérateur à vin et des siÚges pour 10 ou plus.

La maison est idéale pour toute réunion, petit mariage ou famille et amis se réunissent. La maison se compose de 5 chambres, 5 salles de bains et plus de 4 500 pieds carrés d'espace de vie. 3 des 5 chambres ont privé
kitchenettes, salles de bains, coffres-forts personnels et téléviseurs à écran plasma qui ont tous une entrée privée.

Le quartier offre des services tels que l'épicerie, la location de voiturettes de golf, la location de vélos ainsi que certains des meilleurs restaurants de l'ßle. Our family of 9 (from 5 to 70) thoroughly enjoyed our Christmas stay at BajaMar; great house and great location. The pool got lots of use and the long pier provided good fishing. Alfred helped us with gear and reservations for fishing and snorkeling and Dianie provided delicious meals. We couldn’t have asked for more!

Our group of friends and family stayed at BajaMar for a week. It was a great location with local dock pick up for excursions. Golf cart rides to San Pedro and Secret Beach was fun and exciting. Alfred is the best and can help you with anything you want to experience on the island, Diane's cooking was great and a must do. Several restaurants were a quick walk on the beach and wish we had tried them earlier in the trip. Overall a great experience and look forward to going back in the future and will certainly stay at BajaMar again!!

Family and friends getaway

Baja mar is a beautiful property located about 40 minutes (by golf cart) north of San Pedro. It was a perfect destination for a friends/family getaway. Private, on the beach, with a spacious pool, and dock access. Alfred took great care of us and Dianie cooked some amazing dinners. We can’t wait to go back.

Great vacation

BajaMar is a great house in a beautiful location. We stayed with our adult children and friends. Plenty of space for everyone and comfortable rooms.Alfred and Dianie were wonderful and attentive and helped with any arrangements or questions we had. Alfred had our golf carts waiting for us when we arrived, connected us with a dive shop, and gave us lots of guidance on local things to do. Dianie cooked us 3 amazing meals. We will definitely go back!

Group Vacation

We had all the room that we needed. Alfred took care of everything we needed and was a valuable source for giving us info that we needed. Our welcome meal was great I only wish the group had wanted a second meal cooked for us. Lots of seaweed so we couldn't go into the ocean but Alfred explained thats what happens when the wind was coming from the direction it was the whole time we were there so obviously mother nature to blame

Relax

Was a great week with many good times on the water and many great restaurants and bars. Our host also cooked us amazing meals. Had to leave a day early due to tropical storm but we will be back.

Family Vacay

Alfred and Dianie were amazing to work with. They were very responsive and extremely helpful with organizing a snorkel tour that picked us up right at the dock. The property is big and spacious, multiple outdoor seating and eating areas. Dianie made 4 meals for us each one was delicious
.it was almost unanimous that the fish bbq was the fave even with the kids. The pool was warm and clean. Not many spices in the kitchen but lots of pots and pans. The AC was lovely for sleeping but then we could open the doors during the day. There’s kayaks and some snorkel gear to use and you can get to the reef for great snorkeling with sharks and rays from the dock. Highly recommend this property for families or groups of people.

Spacious isolated home

The location is quiet, but plan to be flexible while figuring out what to do based on weather changes and time to travel. Most if our activities left straight from the dock which is very convenient. The golf cart roads everywhere are pretty rough and messy so leave your finery at home. The island is dirty and trashy, including the property itself, although the house is certainly nice and clean inside.

Beautiful location with helpful house managers

Our group of 8 loved our stay. Alfred arranged everything we could need - provisions, golf carts, boat trip, etc. The golf carts we rented were waiting at the airport with someone to guide us and transport our luggage. Everything was easy and beautiful. Highly recommend!

What a spectacular place, a little bit out of town, but that’s what we like

His property is a little bit out of town and be very happy with that. One of our favorite parts of the place was its proximity to secret beach, which was a favorite by all partiesThe property itself was spectacular with great views offering beautiful sunrises and spectacular sunsetIt was appointed very well with everything we needed. He is important to note that there is two bedrooms upstairs in the main room three bedrooms downstairs that all have connecting doors great for families, but they did lock if you wanted them tooAnother highlight where the caretakers they were attentive, responsive, cooked us numerous meals, and those meals might’ve been the best. We ate the whole trip.They helped us with anything we needed, and we can’t say enough about how much we appreciated them and their kind spirit and helpful attitudeThe pool is wonderful, and our kids exhausted themselves in it every single dayHaving the dock right there was super convenient. We had some sort of boat activity set up every single day and it picked us up right there on the dock and returned us there as wellWe had a great time and look forward to returning!

Nice stay in San Pedro

Had limited communication with the host, but the host referred us to the local property manager to text with. We had the option to have the property manager provide dinner for us (charge for cooking as well as separate charge for groceries), and the food was very good. Property manager was able to coordinate everything we needed and all local logistics.The property itself is nice and has a well equipped kitchen and lots of seating areas. Some of the outdoor spaces were slightly run down due to salt exposure, but not really an issue. The property is a bit far from the city (20 min drive via golf cart), but felt homely. There are some hotel restaurants and other restaurants nearby if needed.Everything was great and would certainly consider staying here again.

Just what we were looking for

Our group of eight enjoyed our stay at Baja Mar very much. The property was just what we wanted - nice pool, quiet area, and plenty of space to hang out and relax.There are 5 bedrooms on the property. Two upstairs, and three suites on the bottom floor. The upstairs deck was where we spent most of our time. It was perfect for quiet mornings drinking coffee and watching the sunrise, or evenings spent visiting and rehashing our adventures of the day. The house shows some signs of wear and tear, but it was clean and comfortable. It's also a little far from town via golf cart. We didn't mind that though as we were able to be picked up right at the dock for our tours, so didn't really need to go into town for anything unless we wanted to.Alfred provided top notch service during our stay, and helped arrange several fantastic tours for us. We arranged a welcome meal with Dianie and highly recommend it. It was delicious, and it was nice to be able to relax when we arrived and not have to worry about cooking or finding a nearby restaurant. I would not hesitate to stay at Baja Mar again.

Superb

Baja Mar met all of our expectations. Alfred was so helpful at explaining what the most popular excursions were and set them up for us. His wife, cooked for us twice and the food was just delicious. The bedrooms on the bottom floor are large so we were very comfortable. We enjoyed all of the outdoor spaces and the location was close to many local restaurants.

Minnesotans Loving Belize

Belize is a beautiful place! The home at BajaMar was perfect, the waters blue, the clean pool, and the people were wonderful hosts in their country. Alfred, Diane and Christian were so kind and the food was always deliciously prepared. We loved that we could set up excursions with Alfred and trust that all would go well. And they did! We had a GREAT time!

While all beautiful places have their individual charms, nowhere on earth has given me the same sense of a yearning to return than here at BajaMar on Ambergris, the “Isla Bonita”.
As a brief background to the house, at the end of 2007 I bought the land, five miles north of San Pedro Town, to build BajaMar as a tropical home. The intention was to enable my wife and I to escape the cold winters of Europe; that I might fly-fish the surrounding salt water flats during my retirement and the decision was made with some vague and eccentric middle aged whim of investment. While the conceptual layout of the house was mine, the fine architectural design is entirely to the credit of local architect, Sue Courtenay. The house was completed in 2010 after a prolonged and challenging construction period of some two and a half years. Every single material for the construction was brought to the site by barge.
