The Ohana Hut is a beautifully furnished, exquisitely appointed beach cottage located in the prestigious Village Walk subdivision and just blocks to the beach. This colorful three-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bathroom home is pet friendly, so bring Fido! Better yet,

Upon entering, you’ll find the warm and inviting open-concept living space. The living room boasts a cozy sectional, perfect for snuggling up for movie night. The kitchen is fully equipped to prepare delicious homemade meals. The dining table is in the heart of the home and seats six guests. A second living area is located upstairs, complete with flat-screen TV and kitchenette. Outside you will find a private, fenced-in garden and patio space with a covered breezeway and barbecue grill.

With an emphasis on personal comfort, each of the three bedrooms includes a private bathroom, comfortable beds and flat-screen TVs. The large primary bedroom is beautifully furnished in a Bahamian style and includes a queen-size bed with a twin-size day bed. The second guest room has a queen-size bed. The third bedroom has a queen-size bed and a twin-size bed.

Additional amenities include free Wi-Fi, and parking for three cars. The Ohana Hut is also pet friendly!

Village Walk neighborhood rules: the property manager will provide parking passes upon your arrival. No boats, RVs or trailers are allowed at Village Walk. All vehicles must be parked in the driveway, no street parking or parking in red zones.

Enjoyed the weekend with our adult children. Ideal with three bedrooms and bathrooms - plenty of space for rest and relaxation . Kitchen had everything needed for meals, outdoor space nice to sit and grill. Quiet location and felt safe. Only three parking spaces even though advertised 4. We were going to get a golf cart but cancelled it. Maybe next time. Would consider renting again for our next trip.

Port A Stay

Ohana Hut took care of all of our needs during our stay in Port Aransas. The overall layout was perfect, with pool very near an added bonus!!The Ohana Hut could use a little updating with fresh interior paint and new upholstery updating for outdoor furniture. The keypad for the garage door did not work, we had to open the garage door from the inside.

House was nice wasn’t impressed that the door code wasn’t input correctly and we couldn’t get in when we arrived but was taken care of quickly couldn’t get garage door open but that was fixed as well. Wasn’t a great first experience but it was fixed in a timely matter.

Perfect except for Wi-Fi

The property is wonderful and very clean! The only issue we had was the Wi-Fi didn’t work. We did reset several times but still didn’t work. My husband ended up having to go home because he works from computer. Other than that it was a great week!

Gretat stay in Port Aransas!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our 1 month stay in the Ohana Hut in February 2015. The house has great beach - inspired decor, is well-equipped and is spacious. All bedrooms are upstairs and have their own bathrooms. Our small dog was able to squeeze through the very small doggy door which was great. The yard is fenced but the breezeway is open - so fencing is not dog proof. Fortunately we had an ex-pen with us so were able to block the breezeway. The 'Village Walk' is well planned development with tropical plants and paths for walking - it was quiet while we were there but proximity of the houses could be noisy if there are large groups staying nearby (we had some noisy neighbors partying one weekend). The town and beach (1 mile) were a short drive by car or golf cart. Several days were in the 70s so we were able to be on the beach. Port Aransas is unspoilt and a charming small town.

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very unhappy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: will not stay again. check in was at 4 pm and they gave us the wrong code for the door so by the time i got to the house the maint guy didn't answer the phone. there is NOT enough parking in this area and its gaited so no street parking available. website claimed to be All In One, with house, kart and reality. it was not paid too much for the kart and no room to park it and had to change it out due to poor running. overall was a good trip only because we love the beach, our friends and Port A but will not use this rental company or this community again.

It was nice,accept we went without ac for over 24hours with no apologies or accommodations. Trash bags were not in some of the containers, zero tablets for dishwasher,only 2 washcloths and none for the kitchen.

Overall, our stay was pleasant. My only complaints are the following; the floors throughout the house were pretty dirty(basically, if you were barefoot your feet were blackish from dirt), the outlet on side of kitchen island was super loose and would come out, the large coffee maker downstairs was inoperative(only super small one worked) & the golf cart provided was rather janky(I.e. steering was difficult and it would jerk really hard when you went from a stopped position to accelerate) Other that that, it was fine.

Great Ohana Escape

This house was adorable. Having a Beach House rental myself elsewhere I like to make sure I have everything needed for my guests. With the exceptions of no trash bags for the kitchen and cheap paper products, this house provided what we needed. There were only a few issues with cleanliness and roaches. I would suggest speaking with the cleaning service on their performance. Overall, we all truly enjoyed our stay. The Ohana Hut served its purpose.

Not Good At All

Really frustrating stay. When we checked in we immediately noticed a musty, mildewy smell and were able to track the smell to the dishwasher, which had nasty standing water in it. At this point I started calling management and was told they would be right over. We waited up until 11 (6 hours after call) and finally gave up. The next day the AC went out. At least this time the repair man came. Bathtub wouldn't drain either, so you had to bathe in standing water. The toilet in the main bedroom ran constantly. There were chip bags (not from us) stuffed in the cushions, so they did not do a thorough job of cleaning. I tried to call maintenance every day (still calling even though I am home). Pretty sure at this point I have spent more minutes on hold than I actually got beach time. :( And the roaches. It needs to be cleaned properly and bug bombed. We are home now and I still have not gotten any sort of response from the management company. In conclusion - pick somewhere else.

Perfect Port A Getaway

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Ohana Hut was great for a family with three teenagers. The teens had their own "wing" that we could shut from the rest of the house - complete with its own exterior entrance. The home was clean and conveniently located to town. The heated community pool is just across the way. I read previous reviews but didn't notice any of the previous issues - there were no bugs (I brought bug spray just in case), there are brooms and cleaning supplies and the kitchen had all the necessary items to prepare your meals. The golf cart was absolutely essential because there is no beach access from this location - you have to drive. My only critiques but wouldn't keep me from coming back - the pillows on the beds are hard and need to be replaced, under the bed in the large bedroom needs to be mopped, and extra trash bags would be great.

It was dirty found food crumbs under the cushions. There was no dust pan or mop so we could clean up after ourselves. Nearly everyday we found dead and live palmetto bugs. The kitchen was not well stocked with cooking tools. Silver sands was not very helpfull,

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is very roomy and nicely decorated. The description states it has 3 queen beds 3 twin beds, it actually has 2 queens,1 full bed and 3 twins. There was no hand soap in any of the bathrooms and only 1 small bar of bath soap for each bath room. There were only 2 wash clothes in the entire house. This house is supposed to accommodate up to 10 people. It was pretty clean but the pillow shams on the bed in the middle bedroom were dingy and had a large spot on one of them. I think for a 155.00 cleaning fee we should be getting clean bedding and enough linens for everyone. The lack of hand soap and absolutely no hand sanitizer in the house is very concerning.

The Ohana Hit!

Really enjoyed this spacious home! We will be booking here again! Home was clean and well stocked, but we did bring extra essentials just in case which came in handy! The dogs pool was just outside our gate and the beach was super close so amazing location! A fun week!!!

I would avoid this rental

The location of this property is great, almost everything was in Golf Cart distance but there was just SO much wrong with this property it made it difficult to stay. Also, all of the issues in the house were not addressed because management did not answer there phone and I left MULTIPLE voicemails. Issues were as followed: - THERE WERE ROACHES ALL OVER THE KITCHEN. We went to make breakfast and they were all over our food. It was DISGUSTING. - It was not cleaned when we arrived. Our feet were BLACK when walking on the floor you had to wear shoes at all times. The counter tops were dirty, I had to reclean everything. - The "kitchen cookware" is a complete joke. There was one pan, with a broken handle. There were ROACHES in the plates and cups. Mold was in the blender and the coffee pot was BLACK. The pot holders, are in fact from 1980 and completely burn your hands. -The AC in the master room does NOT work and the shower hardly had water coming out of it. - The dishwasher did not work so we had to wash every dish - We called for towels multiple times and they were never brought to us. I wanted to love this house but was BLOWN away by how nasty this house was. I understand it is the beach and you are bringing in sand, etc. But this was not the case. This house was GROSS, if I had children with me I would have not been able to stay there. But the most upsetting part was the lack of concern from management. They were not kind when we checked in, stated how "busy and booked up " and did not answer their phone ONCE. How do you allow someone to stay in a roach infested property and not answer your phone. I am very upset by the quality of the trip and the loss of money for this poor quality. I would highly recommend not staying here.

2020 Winter stay

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed in the The Ohana Hut for 2 months. The overall stay was very comfortable. Certain things should be addressed, the living area furniture is showing wear and not very comfortable. We had difficulty with the air conditioning and heating, the zone control climate was difficult to change, some instructions would have been nice.
