Welcome to an amazing getaway on the Caddo River in Glenwood Arkansas. Nichols Hole Cabin is tucked away on 10 acres located on the bank of the beautiful Caddo River and just seconds from restaurants and shopping. The cabin features 2 decks overlooking the river, 2 bedrooms with queen beds, a loft with 2 queen size beds, and 2 bathrooms. Outdoor features include offset smoker, BBQ grill, gazebo and 2 fire pits. Cabin sleeps 8 people and has a fully equipped kitchen.

We recently stayed at this cabin and had a mixed experience. The check-in process was very easy, and the location by the river was definitely a highlight — the scenery and access to the water were great. The hot water also worked very well throughout our stay.However, there were several areas that could be improved. The furniture inside and outside the cabin was in bad condition, and the outdoor seating especially needs to be updated. Although the listing says the cabin sleeps 8, the space did not feel sufficient or comfortable for a full group of that size. We also expected basic essentials like coffee, soap, and enough toilet paper, but none were provided. There was no propane grill, and the lack of Wi-Fi was a major inconvenience, especially since connectivity was important for our group.Overall, the location and hot water were good, and check-in was smooth, but the amenities and furnishings need significant improvement to match expectations.

The location is beautiful. Feels like you are alone in nature. River water is clear. Swimming hole is fabulous. Wish they would have included pictures of road up to the cabin. The hill is quite a hike from the River to the cabin however the grandparents in their 70s had no trouble when they took it slow up and down 2-3 times each day. It’s about a 5 minute walk up because of the hill. But we loved it and wouldn’t have traded the hill if it meant losing the location. The cabin sits right on a rocky cliff overlooking the River. You can drive up and down but we chose to walk. The few problems we had were addressed in a timely manner. Property was clean and really cabiny. Porches help enjoyment of outdoors although the Outdoor and indoor furniture needs an update. We would go again in a heartbeat.

This amazing little cabin is a perfect place to get away and relax. We had a great time and enjoyed the river..it was just a short walk down the hill and that’s where we spent most of our time. We were planning our next trip before even checking out of the cabin. Thank you for hosting us and we can’t wait to visit again.

Great property, first time to stay on the Caddo River. Everything you could ask for in a river location. Sun, Shade, shallow water and deep swimming hole all in one place. My husband a catch and release fisherman caught a nice blue catfish and a bream. Beautiful view at sunset and close to town for groceries and close to Hot Springs for a nice day trip.

We loved the location and the cabin! I will say that the loveseat needs to be replaced and the outside furniture needs a refresh. But we did have a great time and would definitely come back!

Wonderful!

We absolutely loved our stay! It was all as described. The hill is a little steep. We all had big trucks, one was a modified truck so his transmission didn’t like the hill very much. But once you get to the cabin, it’s all worth it! It’s gorgeous! We loved the easy access to the river and the quiet serene area. We used Lucky’s and floated down to our cabin (just leave a vehicle at Lucky’s and one at the cabin). We fished the river, suntanned, and just relaxed!

Great Father's Day Weekend!

We really enjoyed this location! Great fishing, beautiful views, our teen boys loved the loft upstairs, and our little cove was perfect for the littles to play in, even with the river being too high to float the whole stay. We still enjoyed our inlet, and the wooden stands they have at the bank to store your floats, coolers, etc. The concrete driveway is SO STEEP though, so we felt more comfortable parking small cars down by the bank and driving the truck back and forth. Great stay, and we will be booking again.

The river was too high to float, but we were able to still play.

Thanksgiving Holiday at Nichols Hole

We loved Nichols Hole! We had three of our grands to stay there with us, plus two more and their wives, and one great grandson who came for the day on Friday. Our son and his fiancée also stayed with us!! We hosted 9 family members for Thanksgiving dinner, then 18 were there on Friday! We had to put out folding chairs to seat everyone but there was plenty of room! Friday!!

Beautiful location great fishing

The location(right on the Caddo) and cabin are beautiful, it’s close to restaraunts and town but feels like it’s miles away. We saw deer, otters, squirrel and my husband had A great time fishing. It was a very relaxing stay and we’d love to visit again!

Rustic cabin in woods

The cabin was as advertised but it was too rustic and not well maintained. My wife did not like all the spider webs covering the windows and there were broken appliances. It would be the perfect cabin for hunting or fishing buddies but it was not a great fit for my girls.

Vacation Fun!

We are older ladies that vacation together. The cabin is located above the river with awesome views. Very steep to the water, but we took the car down to waters edge. We tubed the river back to our cabin. We had fun.

We enjoyed our stay. I liked the seclusion in the wooded surroundings. The only issue we had was the steep entrance. We had two elderly people with us that found it difficult walking from their vehicle to the entry door of the cabin.

Cute little cabin on the river

Cute little cabin right on the river. We loved eating and just sitting on the back porch because the sound of the river was peaceful.
