Great hotel on the beach. Rooms are huge and newly renovated (I think). It's super dog-friendly. We will definitely be back. There is only one issue: with the check. Somehow, our reservation was canceled, but it was reinstated in 20 minutes.

It’s the only place I’ll stay in VA Beach. There is no reason to even leave the premises. They have everything you could want. I’ll be going back in a few months. Fabulous every time!!

Super cute hotel. We got an ocean view that was beyond magical. They also have a starbucks in the lobby and its 30 feet from the beach.

Very pet friendly. Room was fine. The Tides breakfast buffet was just ok. Powdered eggs were not good. But beach was lovely. Easy process. Would definitely recommend just not eggs. The coffee shot was a nice plus also.

Overall, we had a very pleasant stay. The hotel staff and the parking attendants were friendly, helpful, and professional. The property was clean and comfortable. It’s very family-friendly. The beach & pool are lovely. The only issue is that the number & size of the elevators is inadequate for the number of guests, and one was out of service for our entire stay. I couldn’t recommend it for guests in need of wheelchairs, walkers, or anyone who can’t use the stairs easily, until that problem is sorted out.

Looks good online, but for the price of a suite for four people it was disappointing in too many ways. If I could have booked the 2 bedroom suite it may have been better, but here’s the rundown:1. King suite ( Bay view) was a good view, but there were NO LAMPS or Ceiling fixtures to provide enough light to the room so doing actual work at desk was impossible. - Oh, and in case you wanted the King Bedroom to have a door to separate you from your kiddos, think again. While the bathroom separated the seating area from the bedroom, there was NO DOOR for privacy. Ummmmm, really?!?!?!2. We are a family of 4, so it would have been nice to have enough bed sheets, blankets and pillows for the pullout bed. Despite going to the front desk and also making calls from an outside line bc the internal phone to the front desk was off the hook busy, we never got the extra blanket 3. Housekeepers were sweet, but did not provide any refill to the shower body wash or additional soap bars for the sink. Ummmm
.WTH? Glad there was shampoo to “help” with this need. Ironically, the room (especially evident in bathroom shower & sink) was not “cleaned,” BUT my empty water bottles i bagged up to bring home that were not near the garbage cans or recycling- were taken away.lol.On the plus side, we were right on the beach, had a really nice view of the bay from our balcony, & Tides served good eats. The staff was friendly & the head of housekeeping did give me all the clean towels we needed.

Room service never came. The room was poorly cleaned. Two out of four elevators were out of order for a nine story hotel. Prices changed for parking daily. One day 20 for valet the next 35???? Phone in the room dis not work to call front desk, no one ever answered when called from an outside line

The suite was wonderful -- comfortable and clean and the staff was great. Very responsive and friendly. The pool area is not as depicted in the lovely photo. It was not as clean, overcrowded, and there was no "adult only" time -- so the pool was constantly filled with children, who brought in their floating toys, did cannonballs, etc. The onsite restaurant needs a new chef and a new menu. Food was mediocre, especially for the cost.

Beautiful ocean/bay view located on the north side of Virginia Beach. Three night stay was the perfect time as the weather was in the mid nineties.

The property is very nice. Only 2 reasons we did not rate it a 5. The first is booking the property shows a full ocean view. You only get this with a paid upgrade. And the last reason is on the day of check out we were charged 150 for parking. Other than that we fully enjoyed our stay.

Did you really tell me to change my own sheets

I stayed at Delta Marriott - Shore Drive from March 14–16 as a Marriott Bonvoy member and wanted to share both my positive and disappointing experiences.First, the positives—the hotel itself is beautiful. I loved the room layout, the amenities, and the prime location. It was exactly what I expected from a Marriott property.However, the service I received was far below expectations. Despite multiple requests—at least five—for towels and washcloths, they were never delivered. I also made several requests for coffee pods, which were ignored. Even more concerning, our room was never cleaned, despite informing both housekeeping staff and the front desk that we needed service. The front desk assured us that someone would be sent, yet no action was taken.The most unacceptable part of the experience was being told that I could retrieve sheets myself and change the bed after an accident, as no housekeeping staff was available to assist. This level of service is not what I expect from a Marriott property, especially after voicing these concerns multiple times in a polite and patient manner.It’s not just the lack of service that was frustrating—it’s the fact that these issues were raised repeatedly and never resolved. I truly hope management takes this feedback seriously to improve guest experience in the future.
